Appreciate your videos man. I got back into the hobby after seeing the 151 UPC. It’s been fun to jump back in to Pokemon since then. But with the current insanity of the market, might have to take a mini break and wait for things to calm down a little.
If you told me surging sparks would perform more than 2x better than paradox rift a week ago I would have said "yeah, probably" Now I'm not so sure, journey together seems like it will hit the gate just as expensive and the next sets will follow suit, probably never going under 160. So pair that with a probable large reprint and me not thinking Surging sparks is in any way superior of a set to paradox rift except the main chase (although I personally much prefer kaiju groudon to Cheekachu) and I just don't think it will be that much more appreciated than paldea evilved or twilight masquerade long term.. But if there's only small reprints or the next main sets underperform- yeah, I'm with you again
I think that Surging Sparks is a great set - no blunders. But I think it will for sure get reprints and will have some similarities compared to Vivid Voltage even though VV is not at all nice like SS but the market situation was the same. Vivid Voltage got super popular and peaked at 275€ a box but got heavily reprinted and dropped back to 130€. I dont think SS will tank that much but probably will go down like to 140-160€ a box after reprint.
Surreal I had to be happy to pay 100€/blooming waters (free shipping) from a large local online shop here in the EU because at least I'll get them under 10€/pack. Crazy especially seeing them listed at 50$ in the US...crazy but nothing new for Europe What was even more surreal was being able to preorder prismatic BBs for 35€ on the same page. Sad I only did like 10, I'd flip them to the US if I could 😂
