amemiya calls it RENモード (REN mode, literally combo mode), but here's how it works:
margin time should've started already
instead of firing your entire 4w, you send repeated 2-combos to your opponent, which becomes 12 lines thanks to margin time.
you keep your entire stack and keep going until the opponent loses.
amemiya uses this to take down his opponents down to 1vs1. after losing so many times to this, i decided to try it myself when the opportunity showed up. and it's indeed way too powerful, though he almost broke through it at the end, but ultimately failed to a fatal misdrop.
this shows how this is broken, but ALSO how someone is still able to survive through it. i know we're talking about amemiya, but still!

Doremy is truly the god of T-spins. I have never see another player devise T-spin plans out of thin air and use it as much as Doremy. Seriously, this guy try to make T-spins even if the situation does not allow him to do so.

He didn't really speak much during the 1vs1. all I could hear was "abunai" and "dou shiyou ka" which means "what should I do?". There was not much he could do. The attacker Doremy had a huge advantage.

Here is the game on amemiya side.
I was so curious abot what happened cuz Doremy didn't take any damage for a long time. I searched for this game in amemiya streaming and could find the answer. It was that amemiya played so well(not just so well, it was GOD-level) to prevent garbages by stalling while waiting for an oppotunity. At the very last moment, amemiya fianlly broke out the garbage chain and tried to attack but he ended up losing by critial ] i-mino misdrop... I wonder what would happen if amemiya didn't misdrop that piece. It was another level game play, as always tho.
Fuck dude, thats was intense. Really well played by him as well fending you off for so long, both are a cut above

I was in the stream and I finally got a lobby with Anemiya, it was so much fun and I got 8th and felt pretty good, and then he ended the stream even though I wanted another one so badly!!

Is this "Ren Mode" you were talking about actually does more apm in margin time than just reapeated full 4-wide? Or is there any reason to use this over 4-wide when doing a long 2v2?

Bruh, this match went on for 20 fucking minutes with the 1v1 alone taking 6 minutes. Without such mechanics high level players can just play forever without winning.

It might even be 4 because a single might send a single line on its own, meaning t99 pcs are worse than ppt combos
t99 all clears add 4 to whatever the line clear would normally send, so a 2-combo single sends 5 0:36

I saw this game live and Amemiya was playing it so extremely slow to defend against your pressure. I really hope they can make a patch and remove that kind of stalling game play which Amemiya always does. I am happy that you crushed him #Dormey. Hopefully more good players can come and give him the taste of his own medicine.
