I have a Seagate external unit programmed for an automatic nightly back up.
Mid-day, not during a back up session, I needed to retrieve a file from the Seagate unit & I successfully did so but forgot to close out of the session.
Will the automatic programmed nightly back up still occur or does the Seagate need to be in an idle state ?

Hi there. I have the green seagate hard drive. Mine is in my x box series x. Is it normal for the hard drive to flash a lot, even when you not playing the Xbox. It’s a solid flash, then about five single flashes, then it goes off, then a minute or so it happens again. Is this normal please. Thanks Alan 👍

When it comes to using this stuff I am a noob. I have just bought the 2TB/2 Drive backup drive. I have not connected it yet. I am trying to figure out (a) can I pick which of the two drives I use? Why? I have most of my personal stuff on my logical D drive, and official stuff and systems stuff on C drive, AND I would like to save them on different drives. 2d, Can I copy the OS (MS v10)?

If you plug it into your computer and your computer finishes reading the file, if you unplug the sea gate from your computer (not disconnect it) just unplug the cord from your computer does the hard drive stay in your computer?

Wonder if anyone has compared the external hard drive with a Samsun USB flash drive. I have the Seagate. It seems slow, and I am always getting a can't backup message. It seems a pain.

@@wildchild3959 a lot of reviews on amazon have said the HD stops working even if you maintain it also I had to contact Seagate for a replacement and that was hell my first dropped on soft carpet barely like enough for somethibg else to be damaged and i lost everything.

@@alehlete830 I didn’t have an extra USB port either. Luckily USB extenders are usually less than ten dollars. They plug into a USB port but turn into into four or more.

Hdd is a hard drive. The hard drive can be in the system or outside. Outside is external so it is an external hdd.
There must be a step missing. Because I can not drag anything into the drive. I try dragging a video and files into it and it just goes back to where it came from. HOW DO I GET FILES ONTO THIS DRIVE?

If you don't do anything crazy with it, yeah sure. But it's always a good idea to have multiple backups on separate drives.

The Seagate 2TB HDD comes with a Gamepass code that SAYS it is good for 1 month. Mad trouble inputting that code in MS store, Gpass, Microsoft Edge, whatever! It doesn't accept the code and that is the only issue with the product. Otherwise, that is a cool little drive for ONE, 360, and OG Xbox games. X/S games will not work from that drive but it frees up space from internal storage and it's also USB 3.2 Games will run the same way.

Okay, you have the files downloaded to the hard drive. Now what do you do to view them? None of these videos addresses this.
the external hard drive is like a usb drive used to store files,pictures,videos etc. from there you can transfer them to a computer. Basically, it allows you to not use the computers space for files.
