❤I’m a grandmother of twin boys and started writing children’s books while I was working as an administrative assistant at a high school about 3 years before they were born. Today, I’m 59 with 4 self-published books (and lots more to come), including other genres like poetry & cookbooks; this is my main stream of income. I’m also a greeting card/stationery designer, digital creator and soon will add sewing creator to my income list. You’re right, age has nothing to do with it, only desire and persistence. ❤

I began my investment journey at the age of 33, primarily through hard work and dedication. Now at the age of 38, I am thrilled to share that my passive income exceeded $100k in a single month for the first time. This success reinforces the importance of the advice mentioned earlier. It is not about achieving quick wealth, but rather ensuring long-term financial prosperity.

Investors should exercise caution with their exposure and exercise caution when considering new investments, particularly during periods of inflation. It is advisable to seek guidance from a professional or trusted advisor in order to navigate this recession and achieve potential high yields.

What area(s) do you invest in? I've tried stocks and the company I worked with wouldn't meet with me unless I had a certain amount of money invested and I finally had to stop the automatic deposits when i was part of a RIF. I wanted to get into real estate after working as an apartment caretaker, but can no longer drive so can't get to the properties to give tours.

Congratulations Lawrence. That must be a great feeling. I aspire to get there one day. I’m 29 years old and I made the decision to start using my money correctly to work for me that way in the future I can be financially stable and independent from needing to work for someone else. Right now I am making 30 K a year net income in my current job. But I am in the process of getting a skill to where I can make 70 K which I’m sure will be about 50 K net and then I want to start saving until I have a certain amount that way I can invest, and at the very least, I can be financially free from having to work for someone

Managing money is different from accumulating wealth, and the lack of investment education in schools may explain why people struggle to maintain their financial gains. The examples you provided are relevant, and I personally benefited from the market crisis, as I embrace challenging times while others tend to avoid them. Well, at least my advisor does too, jokingly.

That's a risky attitude, My friend. You might be missing out on some valuable opportunities and strategies that a finance advisor can offer. I used to think like you. I thought I knew enough about finance and investing to handle everything myself. But then I realized that I was spending too much time and energy on researching, analyzing, and monitoring my finances. I was also overwhelmed by the amount of information and options available. I started growing plants, buying packets of seeds and growing them until they are big enough to sell. I have sold £3000 since July 2nd on eBay. EBay takes about 1/3, p&p is another 1/3, so I have cleared about a grand in 7 weeks. Next year I will start earlier in the year, concentrate on what was successful this year and extend the season as long as possible. Hope to make a 10k a year side hustle.

      @bbsaid218 11 месяцев назад

@@MT-yx5cu hi, not much to say except buy some seeds and grow them in pots or trays until they are big enough to sell. Package them well and sell them however you can. Car boot sales, garage sales, markets etc will reduce shipping costs, but they are time consuming for me, so I sell them on eBay and just take the hit on revenue. I have had to experiment a lot on seeds that I can grow easily, that slugs don’t eat, and that people want to buy. Foxgloves, mullein, lavender (slow to grow, but popular and I’ll keep some back to use for cuttings in future) etc. next year I will try doing organic vegetable plugs, like tomatoes, peppers, unusual varieties of things and then the following year pick the most successful things of the past 2 years and concentrate on them. This is my retirement fund, it’s something I hope I’ll be able to do well into old age.

I'm glad I learned early on to work hard for financial independence. As Warren Buffet said, he has seen this happen many times in his life. Not an investor, My husband and i never earned more than a middle class salary. We plan to get retired at 58 with a stock portfolio worth $1.7M. We have never sold so much as one share of stock.

Most people don't understand the power of compound interest or are just impatient. However, I think it's better for the average person to invest in the S&P 500 and wait, which is reliable, albeit extremely long: many years, or just hire an investment advisor and accelerate wealth accumulation. Most people underestimate the power of the latter.

In addition to make you feel more guilty about your faults, pointing the finger at others will only serve to increase your sense of personal accountability. There's always a risk in every investment, yet people still invest and succeed. You must look outward if you wanna be successful in life.

I have recently retired from working with disabled children. I am also a singer/songwriter. Since my retirement I and my backup singer, who is also retired, have been doing gigs. We love what we do and are making extra money doing it! We sell merchandise and tickets for free merchandise when we sing for free. 😊

I launched my RUclips channel this year and like you, I had to learn everything and do everything. It's been a great resource for me when working with my buyers and sellers. I was a Commercial Banker for 19 years and I'm still a Certified Treasury Professional so I offer bookkeeping and CFO Advisory services to businesses.

I want to personally thank him for putting this good information out here. I would recommend that people LISTEN to him. He's not selling a dream

SUCH a motivating video! I'm about to turn 41 and it's encouraging to know that you added these income streams after age 40! (PS - How amazing that your daughter was able to graduate debt free! Well done to you both. 🙂I'm new to the channel - introduced to you by Darrell Braton - and I'm enjoying watching your "back catalogue" now. RUclips is a (very small) stream of income for me, too. I'd love to follow in your successful footsteps! xChristianna)

Imagine if you just did one thing. That you did it so well that you were able to make more per unit of time you invest, and then you build a team around that one thing. Then you scaled it. You’d probably make a lot more money. Multiple streams of revenue sounds nice, but it just spreads your efforts all over so you don’t make as significant progress as you would if you were 100% committed to one thing. I’ve been on both sides. The former has you over stressed and underpaid, while the latter takes more time, but you make way more and feel way better.

    Hi.
I just discovered you right before bed. We have allot in common and I've done many of the jobs and hustles you have. I worked for the Federal government, own rental property, done voice overs, etc Currently, I'm homesteading so I'm adding previous and new hustles to bring in income to the homestead.
    Proud of you. I've subscribed.
I'll be checking in on you from time to time because as you stated, my days are long and I have little to no leisure time.
Keep up the great work. ❤
Black single on Homestead on the Bayou. I'm on both RUclips and Facebook.
