I was a college student of his 3 years ago. I was amazed of how much material I learned in one semester; to this day I remember the material (philosophy). I find this method extremely helpful, which is why I still use it to teach myself physics, chemistry and biology. "Teach!"
I'm a high school sophomore, and an aspiring high school teacher. I honestly wish more of my teachers used this...just this "Class-Yes" method. I've seen too many classes get out of hand, and we lose important time that we could instead be focusing on the lesson. I can't imagine the amount of control this simple callback system gives back to a teacher. I'd like to be in a class with a teacher that does this. Thank you for making this video! Maybe one of my teachers will see it...
Wow! I'm so glad I saw this, as I'm starting a new teaching assignment next week after several years away from teaching. It seems like something that will be fun as well as effective!
I'm going to try this with my senior high school students in Taiwan. It can be hard to get them engaged and participating because they're used to passive rote learning. It's going to be interesting to see if Power teaching could work with Asian students. I don't see why it can't.
How could I do this in a non-class setting? I work with a group of kids age 8-17 in a inpatient setting and it gets really loud sometimes with everyone talking over each other
i get owned py their ignorance (on my terms lols) that they r not listening to me. now im going to use this class-yes. ur cooment is 3 yrs old now. maybe u dont remember what i am talking abt anymore. lols
You’re asking for a conflict with students using this approach. They will get tired of it, or they might be having a bad day. They’re willing to listen and learn, they just don’t wanna go through all those motions. From my experience, the students are forced to do this. If they don’t do it he punishes the whole class. Hopefully his approach has changed.
I tried this for the first time this week. I am amazed by the power of "class" - "yes" It is so simple and yet so powerful.

CONGRATS!!!
ey chris, this way of teaching would be excellent!
Hey there Mr. Biffle...do you do video conferencing?
How could I do this in a non-class setting? I work with a group of kids age 8-17 in a inpatient setting and it gets really loud sometimes with everyone talking over each other
Thank you!
How well does whole brain teaching correlate or mesh with the Charlotte Danielson evaluation system?
+pixiegirl1492 I can't see it working at all. It's a lot of the teacher telling them what to do and Danielson wants student led.
استراتيجية رائعة وممتعة ومفيدة
Where in Mexico do you teach?
It's working!!!! Thank you so much! Mexican Teacher. :)
The Whole brain teaching style doesn't seem to align with Danielson, which many schools are now adopting as a means of evaluation.

like it nice way to teach
@NCWBT can
so the first step is to lie to your students
second step is to become a drill sergeant
