I saw a teacher in a school that adopted this. All but ONE teacher. The teacher who didn't is old and stuck in her ways. She blames the kids for their behavior problems. They are afraid and not engaged. The class has a very cold and rigid feeling. The classes and teachers that used it were upbeat, happy and energetic.
I'm a 'roving' music teacher. I IMMEDIATELY started implementing. Life = CHANGED.

Mr. Biffle, you are an inspiration and I'm just chiming in to thank you. I have used your suggestions in the classroom and the result is beyond what I had imagined. My students are retaining more of my lessons (a lot more) and they have more fun while doing it.
Thanks again and keep up the good work.

No, I think you're right, but I like this guy. I'm not saying he's a master teacher or anything, but he's using voice modulation. I invented that.

How do these methods work with learning disabled kids? I feel like this moves awfully fast for kids with processing issues.

just wondering if this strategy used everyday, probably students will be bored and tired in answering it. Does anybody here uses this strategy for the whole year? in everyday?

Oh my gosh, very effective! My kindergartners never get bored of it. It seems awkward and silly but it's quite motivating to the kids.

Not sure about the middle school but am assuming the kids would love it just the same. Super motivating. I didn't believe it until I tried it for myself. Kids love it!
