Still, Turkiye is a country with very cheap prices of food, considering the quality, quantity, and variety of food they offer, almost always freshly made food
For my Turkish friends, life in Turkey has become very expensive! I was also earning Turkish lira when I left Istanbul in 2019, and Turkish salaries definitely have not kept up with inflation ☹️☹️☹️

As a turkish guy i can give you a few recommendations from my experience in turkey... Tourist cities like Antalya and Istanbul are really expensive. If you want to eat and shop cheap there, drive to the cities outskirts with the bus. Just 2km outside the tourist areas everything is at least 50% cheaper.

I am a follower of your channel and an upcoming new resident of Antalya.❤️ I would just like to make a mathematical correction to your comment: you say at the beginning that prices have often doubled in one year and, at the end of the video, that inflation is closer to 200% than the officially advanced 80%. Please consider if prices have doubled in one year, this corresponds to an inflation of 100% (price x2) and not 200% (price x3). 😉

Prices have certainly gone up after February. I don’t find the price of clothing much different from the eurozone now. I guess the Turkish central bank cannot maintain this lira valuation for long and lira will and should devaluate heavily against euro and even more so against dollar. I am a follower of your channel and an upcoming new resident of Antalya.❤️
I would just like to make a mathematical correction to your comment: you say at the beginning that prices have often doubled in one year and, at the end of the video, that inflation is closer to 200% than the officially advanced 80%.
Please consider if prices have doubled in one year, this corresponds to an inflation of 100% (price x2) and not 200% (price x3). 😉
Thank you❤🌹🙏. Would you please make a video about prices for one and two bed apartments and your buying recommendations.
2 milyondan asagi yok istanbul daha pahali tabiki
Hi, brilliant video!! What currency would you recommend to take to Turkey Antalya Euros or Turkish lira?

Hei Olga! Great video. What about services? How much will I pay for a hammam? Or hairdresser (colour)?
Hello, I really like your video. Very informative. I will be going to Istanbul by the end of the month? What should I pack? Thank you.
Honestly, I’m Turkish and we have a bad economy
Watching from Nairobi Kenya, I love your videos🕌🕌
Thank you, for your comment very nice video ,,,,Puerto Rico,, 🇵🇷

Hi, could it be possible of doing a video of Kaleiçi Steak Gastro Bar in Antalya please
Hi, we are not in Antalya anymore 👉 ruclips.net/video/MXpIscvPuH4/видео.html
I just subscribed to your videos. Your videos are very informative & very respectful for Turkiye. Thank you. I was born in Istanbul raised in America since age of 5 yrs old. Your information really gives me more understanding of my birth country & it's much easier as you speak English so well. Thank you Olga so much.

Great video,
I am shocked Avocados are cheaper than in the USA
I love these videos
Cheers
Try coming to Canada. Prices are 3 to 4 times more expensive here.
Thank you Olga, excellent update and much appreciated. By chance have you noticed used car prices and if they have increased?
Congratulations very useful video. Keep up with the good work. Thank you
Great video! Been considering the next vacation/places to work remotely. I think you helped me to make my choice. Thanks!
super helpful, thanks Olga
it is very important to say that there is a difference when you live in Turkey and you have income from abroad, EU, it doesn't change anything for you, you just see higher numbers. If you live in Turkey and work there for the local currency, you can feel that the standard of living is decreasing, everything is more expensive.♥️y love Alanya
I love Turkish, IM from Indonesia 🇮🇩🇮🇩🇮🇩
Hi Olga! Another wonderfully informative video! 👏 I want to ask you, because in my time in Antalya I never saw any consignment or thrift stores....have you ever seen one there?
Unfortunately no

Hi, I just want to know if we can use one bus pass between two people by swiping it twice? My wife and I are going to Antalya in March and we will go everywhere together and feel that we can use one card between two. Do you see any problems withg this?
I think you can, but you’ll have to check. Have a good trip!
Dankjewel voor de leuke video . Het eten is tegen over Nederland spot goedkop! Je moet dan niet in een restaurant gaan eten, maar een gezellig fastfood shop.
in spain more cheap 😉
im going to antalya on wednesday, so now i know how much i need to spent on and be preparing. thank you for that

It's seems most foods are cheaper in Izmir, antalya offer tourist price?
I just got back from Istanbul yesterday. It’s super cheap for dollars to TL
Prices have certainly gone up after February. I don’t find the price of clothing much different from the eurozone now. I guess the Turkish central bank cannot maintain this lira valuation for long and lira will and should devaluate heavily against euro and even more so against dollar. It should be closer to 1eur=30try whereas it’s now 1~=18.1
you are right, everything in Europe is cheaper than Turkey, maybe except fruits/vegetables.

I haven’t noticed. Tourist Scams in Turkey. Watch before travelling!

Looks twice as expensive now 😢
Even here in England things are 40% more 😢
How come prices aren't mentioned only it is cheap expensive & higher or lower .. no idea how much exactly
Hello Olga, I recently started watching you're videos around 2 months ago, are you able to make more videos in Side?
Turkey is a great place if youre a foreign tourist. My friend said that she visited starbuck 3 times a day while vacation in Turkey earlier this year and please consider that our currency (rupiah) is notorious for being one of the lowest in the world lol
Very nice video, Olga. I hope inflation settles down. I lived near Istanbul for a year years ago but never got to visit Antalya. Maybe soon.
Yeah, so far inflation gets worse and worse unfortunately:(
@@OlgaProGoingPlaces brace ourselves for the next at least 2 years

Thank you Olga.👍👍👍
i found eating and drinking out very expensive. but i found buying food and drinks in shops cheaper than it was... i cant work that one out?????

@@allenjohnson7686rents increased 3X-5x. Minimum salary wage is not enough to rent a house, so these waiters ask more money,.or quit job. If they get more money, then the restaurants has to make prices more, it is close to Euro level now. In that case many locals can't go, and restaurants go either out of business, or serve you bad food since no circulation and food goes bad.
So more and more foreigners come, rents will increase more so everything. The rent prices in my neighbourhood just increased 30% in last two weeks. You did not read it wrong, in the last two weeks 30% increase.
I just checked apartments and cheapest is like 550 Euro / month and with special requirements ( it asks whole year up front, does not rent to foreigners etc.)
So basically Antalya become like an European place with European prices. Government workers like Doctors, polices leave Antalya by hordes since they can't pay the rent.
Were you at Lara or konyalti? You didn't mention the names. Also share transport prices
Konyaalti. Transport prices you can check in the previous videos

i dont really understand about the living cost in turkey.. with those inflated price, living cost in indonesia (jakarta) is around 25-50% more expensive than in turkey. anybody could help me what was the normal price and the us$ exchange rate before inflation happened in turkey?
i mean, indonesia is still expensive compared to a place where a crisis is happened
Inflation is high for years and years now in Turkey, there is is not really a “before” to compare to. Here ruclips.net/video/ltcxvLOkzrI/видео.html I explained how much we are spending, in USD/EUR the budget is always similar (apart from rent ruclips.net/video/WOwu_Ph2ZB8/видео.html)
2020 1 dolars = 7.43 TL
2023 1 dolars= 18.72 tl
I'm from the UK and will be visiting Sarigerme, Dalaman, later in the summer; does anyone have any advice as far as purchasing Lira goes?
Am I better buying Lira over in Turkey, or should I buy it whilst in the UK?
I'm only there for a week, and staying in an all inclusive hotel, so don't need much spending money, but currently plan on just taking English notes and buying Lira over there.
If anyone has any thoughts/experience, I'd love to hear it. ✌️

The prices are cheaper than Philippines 🇵🇭 3x expensive here for example whole chicken cost in Turkey 2 dollars here is 6 dollars per kilo also the restaurants here are so expensive. The cooking oil cost 6 dollars here for 1 kilo
That changed in one year, now Manila and Istanbul have about the same average cost, with the Turkish wages 35% higher than Philipino wages.
Good price review video, but would be nice if you include price in euro as well :)
Thanks! Euro and USD are almost 1:1 now, so we included only one currency for simplicity ☺️
