Through research I came across this RUclips channel and it is very insightful. I have high passion for poultry farming. I need further experience and whoever can offer me a grant.
I have watched and loved poultry production from start to finish. Honestly I have developed much interest in poultry. I have done little on poultry and need a boost in order to advance.
When I was about 6 years old in 1965 we got our family's first 280 ft by 50 ft chicken house it took 12 weeks to raise a 3.75 lb bird for meat I worked from 6 till I found other work around 18 raising chickens,by then we had three houses the two newer houses were 325 by 50 ft back then especially the first 6 yrs or so we did everything manually including pulling feed buggys from one end to the other filling up feeders that held about 5 gallon each and there was probably 200 or so in one house once the ckicks got 2 to 3 weeks old we had to feed them daily so after school I got off the buss at 4:00 pm ate a snack and went to the chicken house. finally after about 6yrs we got automatic feeders but we still had to feed the new chicks by hand until they were large enough to reach the automatic feeders, It was hard 7 day a week work and today even with the computers i'm pretty sure it still quite a job. you have to have a strong work ethic to maintain chickens I remember our pay started at like 1.75 cent a pound for the chickens when they went to the processor of course the company furnished the chicks and feed an a little help with gas to heat them during winter. I believe our pay for that first house was like 600 dollars for 12 weeks. by the time I moved out we were raising 4.5lb birds in 42 to 48 days and if they wanted tv dinner birds they would pick them up at 36 days or something like that. I was so glad to get out of there then when I turned 40 something I was wishing I would have continued funny how that works.................stevie from Alabama-

Do you support torturing animals, especially dogs and cats? And if it’s illegal to do it to them, why is it not illegal to treat animals in inhumane ways their entire life just to save some money. Killing is one thing, torturing is another.

Why aren’t the fertilized eggs kept with the mother hen to hatch? I still believe you can get as much quality produce with free range chickens being fed natural products.
Some hens do not like brooding eggs and if they brood them the hatch rate goes down because you can not control the proper conditions. Also you can free range the birds but it lowers the efficiency, growth etc.

Chicks require 8-10 hrs of sleep. Remember to insert burning charcoal or heat bulbs during the night. You need to put tonic medicines once for 3-4 days only or once your chicks fall ill.
America needs to stop the use of battery cages and gestation crates as soon as possible. I appreciate the farmers who do not use them, but there has to be a push to improve the system and welfare of the animals.

Guys you don't have to watch this video. According to most sources, this is what you have to do to have a successful poultry farm. Step 1: give your birds as little space as possible. Step 2: make sure that they have to stick their head through cold metal bars to eat. Step 3: if a chicken is being bullied, don't help it. Don't have any concern of suffering animals. Step 4: make sure they only have just enough food to survive and lay eggs. Step 5: make sure your birds never see sunlight. Its bad for them you know. If you follow these directions you will become a succesful poultry farmer. Oh, wait did I say succesful? I meant cruel, Inhumane, and selfish.
No, I haven't raised over 10,000 birds, but I have raised over a hundred at least, and the reason I only have about 100 is because I don't have the space for over 10,000 birds. I'd have space if I stuffed them in cages their entire lives but other than that I wouldn't have the space.
