    I've been coming across a lot of videos explaining *how* these different items are used, but not *why* they are incorporated into poultry production. This was just the video I needed to wrap my head around it all.

    This presentation is based in cold countries that needs constantly optimum warm room environment. However, do we need this closed vent system in tropical countries without causing extra expenses for electricity to make the room cooler? Or We can do with a sort of a hybrid system that are semi-closed that can be completely closed to conserved the cool room environment and then open it up when we need to bring in fresh air and have a constant optimal room temperature.

    • @cds5067
      @cds5067 9 месяцев назад

      Shortcuts will usually destroy the animals health, you want closed vents with a dog house out front with cool pads and excessive fans out the back, once air flow starts its not that expensive, we own a few sheds commercial and our biggest expense is our LED lights and feed engines. Good luck ❤ I'm cheering for you

    Straw is the worst thing you can put on the floor, where I live we use a moffett to load the trailers at the barn and straw gets tangled up in the wheels so easy, it just makes a mess, shavings and saw dust is the best material for barn floors especially if you use moffetts

Leave me the well ventilated is always spring chikens😂😂...The only thing I was not clear about was humidity in summer time, they were doing evaporative cooling, intruducing humid air inside, how they get rid of it? Dehumidifiers?

      It is very difficult to control moisiture during hot weather. We offset the negative impact of high RH by providing high air exchange rates (less than a minute) and air speeds over the birds of 600 ft/min or better.

    With all due respect if you have one house on your farm that is sick it is only a matter of time before the other houses get sick. it only takes a insect or small rodent. I don't farm chickens but have spent many years farming hogs.

    • @UGAPoultryHousing
      @UGAPoultryHousing  2 года назад +1

      Though the chance of disease moving from one house to another is high it doesn't mean in poultry that all the houses will become infected. It depends on the type of disease, age of bird, ventilation practices, and on farm biosecurity. I have seen it on a number of farms that a house or two will remain disease free or have much less of an issue with disease while others have a serious disease issue.

    I wonder how many poultry farmers actually follow these protocols in raising birds. Like most business owners, people tend to cut corners to lower their costs and increase their "bottom line". In actual government inspections, so many owners of agricultural businesses contravene established guidelines. These videos all sound good but I do wonder. ????

    • @UGAPoultryHousing
      @UGAPoultryHousing  3 года назад +10

      I believe this is an accurate representation of the management practices of the vast majority of broiler growers. The do this not because of government regulations but rather because it is good for their bottom line and they do care about their birds. Bottom line, the better they care for their birds, the better the birds will perform, and the more profitable their operation will be. If you don't take care of your birds, they won't take care of you.

    Supreme Master Ching Hai’s URGENT Message to All Animal Meat Business & Livestock Factory Owners, February 22, 2020.
    Dear all animal meat business persons, groups, and livestock factory owners: Please take heed, because this is very, very important for you. You must know this before it’s too late - for you. This is what hell will sentence you for: … Maybe you did not do it on purpose. Maybe you didn’t think about it, but you must do think about it, because it concerns you. You will go to hell and suffer so much more, a thousand times more than these animals and people are suffering because of your bloody business. I am not swearing. Blood is on your hands, on your body, in your hair, in your stomach, in your breath, in your lungs, in your cars, in your houses, in your food, in your shoes, the leather shoes that you wear. Everything. It’s all stained in blood, soaked in blood. U-turn now when you still can. Begin a new life. I promise to intervene with Heaven on your behalf. For I also love you, despite what you have done. So stop the murdering. Stop it now and repent, so that the mercy of God might not be obstructed for you and yours. May God help you to be awakened soon.
    Please keep watching the link below to find out more. This is a highly recommended must-watch!
