I have a Bugera 6260 2x12 Pre-Infinium Combo that I bought as a open boxed from Musician's Friend in August of 2015. I replaced the Bugera 6L6's with Svetlana EL34 Soft Reds. I've played it almost every day since and it sounds great and everything works. I can't see spending $2500 for a new Marshall ever again. I'm going to get one of these 1960s next.
Raúl González It’s an Avatar birch 2x12. It came with V30s, but they were a little to harsh for me. I went the poor man’s Eminence Delta Pro 12A, which is a poor man’s EV 12L: Carvin PS12-8 speakers.
James got to Tube Depot. com and order 3 Long Plate Mullard 12AX7's. They will cost you about $20 bucks each but this will be the best money you'll ever spend on guitar stuff!! Also mark the little box High gain! Dont bother with paying more for matched 12AX7's. They will sound better with a little tiny difference between them. The harmonic overtones your amp has will go through the roof!!
Just an update: I've run this thing at about 10 o clock on both volumes with the master at 8 and the outer pair of power tubes pulled. I've never had an amp suffer any damage from pulling tubes. This one sounded ridiculously loud even with a pair pulled. It's been rock solid the whole time I've had it.
James Junior also I changed the preamp tubed and the two of the power tunes with a matched pair of JJ's. I diffinently noticed a difference. Sounded a little better!
No gain on this one. Just volume and a PPIV master. This was as low as the master goes with volume 1 and 2 on 1. I had to make an effects loop volume box to get some preamp distortion. Maybe I'll post another video.
