Just to warn u, 420cc predator gain power by removing govenor, but u have to do valvesprings at sametime or u will float valves or blow up the engine. Search cars &cameras on youtube or redbeards garage both have 420s redbeard blew up 2 of them but now has rebuilt and found info about heavy valve springs

go on go powersports and order a stage 1 kit for a 420 predator it will bump up the power and sound cooler comes with exhaust intake and jest all easy to be installed with hand tools

Look on go power sports . Com and get you a new belt, mikuni carb, exhaust and some new weights and springs in your tourque converter. That’s a 65+ mph go kart easy I have the same setup.

It is a CVT transmission, so no reverse. Belt is probably slipping as well.I estimate this 420cc engine has between 13-15 HP.
I had a Honda gx390 that was 14hp, the 420 should be 15/16 at least
Rabby Redpath this is an air cooled engine, not really made for horsepower. I bet it makes a solid 15 at least. Opened up with no governor probably 20
Edit: just looked at the predator website and it says it is 13 horsepower stock
Man back in my day we had a 5 hp motor on a little home made cart that thing would fly Way faster than that big motor it also had no throttle cable we did it by hand reaching back to give it gas but man it was fast like 45mph or more. Idk what’s up with urs but maybe throw on a custom home made pipe might give u some more horses. Put a street bike motor in it, that would b a good video
CVT has nothing to do with reverse. If you have a gearbox or not, that will give you reverse. All these Polaris quads have CVT, they have reverse. Most of these do not. My Honda Pilot is CVT and has reverse as well as my sportsman.

Yeah but those 420cc predators don't go much faster stock the higher the cc predator gains more weight and torque and less top speed
Looked pretty fast to me. Long as you can feel the cvt changing ratio. The belts usually don't stretch. If anything they narrow over time.

im in the middle of building a carter talon and putting a 460 vegas carts engine on it. How did they mount the sprocket on the axle? it looks like they welded on a new one closer to the driver side tire.

The throttle doesn’t need adjusted. That’s the governor. Remove it and it’ll run a lot better
Put a cr 125 on it

Pretty much all modern vehicles requires you to fill the coolant in the catch can or "overflow". A long time ago radiators had caps you could fill directly.

The baja dune 150 . I just picked up one for 100 gota rebuild it this weekend. I have a moto4 350 im considering slaping in it . Hi/lo & reverse with semiauto 6 spd would make it a fun kart

You want it geared low. Any off road cart, you want low end grunt. You don't need to go 60 off road with it. With that torque converter you can change the characteristics. Stiffer springs, etc. Remove the governor and you'll get 6-8 mph more. Very noticeable on low and top though. You'll love it. Contact Gopowersports.com for any parts or upgrades.

Your belt is definitely slipping or your gearing is way off. Mine has the same engine and it takes off quick and has a top speed of probably about 50. It is still geared low enough to ride fast through some fields.
Swap a cr250 motor or one of your 2 stroke 250s on it! Would be wicked fast! The buy n sell vids are getting boring! Lol

Premium gas should be fine in it all ethanol does is cause carb issues in the future but cool cart my cuzin had one years ago we sent it threw a lot of mud
there is something wrong with it because with that predator would spin tires in the dirt and be way faster maybe the belt it shot or re gear it cuz sum isn't right

Looks like the base is the Tomberlin Crossfire 150. Very nice!
It's a Baja Dune. Crossfire's have a butterfly looking front nose/bumper and are a little bit longer. The Crossfire 150r came in red and had reverse. The first generation crossovers were yellow and no reverse.
