It won't have good steering at the extreme if the opposite wheel locks up ... that will pull you the in opposite direction. -- And yes, those gear issues are not for newbies. Hopefully with your feedback they'll improve that situation ... but that pinion scenario is worrisome. -- Great review!
While driving it’s not going to lock, but there will be some binding that can cause wear. Maybe it was just my truck. If not they’re easy fixes that the factory can make. Thanks for watching!
Wow great catch on the pinion -shaft issue . Amazing someone didn't catch that during final assembly or design roll out.. Chances are during assembly they didn't line it up and thought they had the wrong screws subbed the long ones .....and there ya go. Great video as always.
Looking at the screw in the image compared to te one in the manual it's the same thread count. I'd say the shaft maybe wasn't threaded deep enough rather than them just throwing in an incorrect screw.
also the shock shafts look really skinny and with a bit more usage, I can see them bending like many i've seen. you pointing out those other flaws is great. good for newbies and good for brand to know to fix. in depth and hard testing from a consumer pov, is so important now cuz these rigs are not sheap; vs market maybe, but certainly not vs cost of living so we need good lasting value for the market price
What do you think about the Quantum2 XT version. It looks like the truggy version of this with a longer and wider wheel base but same electronics. Sort of like the Outcast-Kraton. Would love to see a review on the Maverick Quantum2 Xt and the differences between the two.
Not sure. It was really odd to see a problem like that. Talking to another company , they said sometimes the assembly line worker does whatever to get units out the door.
That truck is JUNK. I had a Maverick whatever. I'm about to throw it away in pieces. Even after upgrading it like a dummy, this is thing breaks if you look at it wrong! NEVER AGAIN
Its up there with the Granite and Mt10. Really a good lil truck!
Not even close. Granite has a 100a ESC and goes 50 out the box and isn't made of rubbery plastic..mt10 has a center diff
Some of the details are really nice. I like the nod to HPI with their logo on the tires.
Great review👍 I picked up the blue, something about that color scheme on this. Now off to the conversion😊
For sure looks like a good option especially in an area like that. Good info for starting off.
Its a little bigger but way more plastic and just not as nice as the Rlaarlo Omni Terminator. That thing is a beast.

I was gonna get this but this review changed my mind.

That front end is like my arrma senten 3s , I do wish these came with sealed bearings
Its nice to see Losi still beeing in the rc game.
Definitely awesome spot❤
Any hints on where the spot is?
That looks like a great spot for the mojave 4s
The truck has potential, but like you mention, too many QC problems to be acceptable for a new driver. I would recommend a Granite for a few $ more.
It might just be my truck. But I had to share my experience
For a new driver on a budget, the TA MT10 is a sure go, in my opinion, even better than the Granite
Yah i was able to grab a granite when they went on sale for $270!
Yeah and used granites are everywhere for $200
But sometimes the quantum 2 will get coupons to bring it to $245
Van Halen style body would be a win-win for me.
Same here one of my favorite band
@RcDriver glad u enjoy this spot. Hope to rc together there some day

Why did they do cvds in the front and dog bones in the rear?
Dog bone in the front bind up , you’d probably need too adjust the endpoints down a bit on the steering to prevent the binding.
When u going do the new losi 8ight buggy
Still trying to get a hold of one.
@@rcdriver can't wait for ur review
You think all the others youtuber's , had the issue at the front diff because of that screw of a pinion?
Not sure. It was really odd to see a problem like that. Talking to another company , they said sometimes the assembly line worker does whatever to get units out the door.
can someone tell me the size of the battery compartment... I can't find any information anywhere. Thanks
I bought one ..for 50.00 😊 its a 4+4 too 😊👍. Very fast lol
Metal gears and shafts....that's better than arrma
I've thrashed my Granite and it holds up.
Plastic shafts holds up pretty good
Fellas..not the point..you're paying more for plastic..think about it
A popular brand in Spain, for decades . This one looks affordable and zippy .
Nice location. Where is this? Anyone knows plz?
What about parts availability? Amain only shows the differential case set.
They should be listing all the parts sometime today.
🎸 🤘 go head jump 🏁⚡
I have this truck, diffs are breaking by looking at it. Don't recommend it for any form of bashing
Its cool but the Omni Terminator is just a way better deal, anyways see you at Arrmageddon
See ya there!
No CD, steering binding, and no fluid in diffs and that means silicone most likely will piss out. Almost.
The diffs have a gasket in the center and o-rings for the outdrives. Standard sealing set-up for diffs.
Hpi have clearly struggled to sell this as it’s been out for a while and I’ve just logged into RUclips and seen 4 RUclipsrs posting a review on it.
I'm not seeing any reviewers that are happy with this thing. Ouch.
That's the opposite of what I am seeing

Just curious, was it this same exact model?
