Hi Cyndi. My wife and I love your videos! Thank you for all the info. I’m curious if Royal Caribbean offers similar discounts for travel agents. Would you consider doing a video covering RC, and possibly NCL and maybe even CCL?
Loved this and signed up - do we know if we can book two staterooms under TA rate (hubby, kids and additional for parents)? I see some coming up, would love to experience with my parents too!!
Hi There! If you go into the Disney Travel Agent site & go to "Training & Benefits" tab & then click "Available Benefits" you can view what is available & what you can book!
Hi there, so we are trying to plan our first Disney cruise and I’m so overwhelmed by travel agent vs no travel agent and also knowing who is legit and who is t in afraid of getting scammed etc… help?
Love your videos and just signed up for your course! I am a new agent and one of the first things I did was complete the Disney Training! My question is about the IATA card. I have an IATA number through my host but don't have my own IATA number. Am I still eligible to receive the discounts with Disney?
Hi! Yayyyyy, we are so excited to see you over in class! You will book for your clients using your hosts IATA number but in order to get the discounts, you have to get your own IATA card so they can keep track of you in their system. 🦋
Can you give me an idea of what the discounted rate is for the WDW tickets? Have you used them before? I am up-to-date with my training and before I request benefits, I just wanted to have an idea of the price they might be. I know it is 2024, but so it may not be exactly the same. Thanks!
You can view all of the pricing in the Disney TA site! If you click on available benefits, it will bring up all the categories & then there is a link to click on to see the actual prices rather than the "request a date".
I’m thinking about being a travel agent and I’m a Disney Nut! Is IATA required for Canadian TA’s? In Ontario you must be registered with TICO (Travel Industry Council of Ontario- which is a regulatory body) thanks!
It depends from company to company. Most cruise lines give you a free cruise or a discounted cruise for doing their trainings. If you book it with your credentials, you will get commission. If you are getting the discounted/free cruise, I don't believe you get commission as it is a gift for you to learn about their brand/experience before sending your clients. Again, it varies from cruise line to cruise line. I hope that helps! 🦋
Ohhhh gotcha, my bad. You can view all Disney offers in the Disney Travel Agent site. If you go to the training & benefits tab, you can view them all there!

Hello I have a question, if I already booked a trip prior to becoming a travel agent myself. Am I able to cancel it and get these benefits & commissions for myself? I’m still 5 months out from my pre booked trip. We’re doing Disney world & Disney cruise.
Hi there! As long as you have your credentials, you should be able to call the Disney Travel Agent line & get your reservation switched over to your agency info so it is eligible for commission.
How essential is it to generate your own clientele? I do NOT help family and friends plan their Disney trips. Not because I’m incapable, but because my family and friends do not have expendable income for Disney. I have a very small circle of both family and friends. Thank you for your honest feedback.
I would say it is very essential to generate your own clientele. Family/friends can be hard to book for sometimes but a lot of people start booking with them. If you are looking to target a luxury market, you will have to market towards those individuals. Marketing can be found in many ways but a good start would be social media. Get your brand name out there on Facebook, Instagram, Tik Tok, etc.
You need to be a credentialed travel agent, but technically you don’t have to have any Disney sales. However, to get your credentials you’ll typically need to have sales as a travel agent before being eligible to earn your credentials. 👍
@@wanderlustceoI am with a host agency they said since they are registered with iata I would have to have iata in order to get the discounts for Disney 😢

I’d you are with a host agency do I have to wait until I get my own card? Exp if I have to sale $5000 in commission before I can request my own card. Or can I use the host numbers?
Requirements will differ from agency to agency, and based on which credential they are approve for their agents. Selling your first 5k in commissions is very typical for most agencies.

Correct, Canada has very specific rules. We do work with Canadian hosts at Wanderlust Campus.

Can we book regular cruises that aren’t on the list & still get a discount or do we only get commission on it? Thanks.

Do you know if Disney has rules about which type of room you can book to get a discount on? Like if I book a family suite, will the discount apply?
You will have to view this through the Disney TA site. It varies based on availability but you can also call the Disney TA line & double check!
Thanks!

What credentials do you need? The CLIA? What’s the best way to get your own personal CLIA card?
Just starting out and I was told I have to have IATA not CLIA to book TA rates for Disney :(
You can book on either! Are you going independent or with a host?
