Another great British band from the 60's. Their biggest hits were "She's Not There", "Tell Her No" & "Time Of The Season". Their 1968 album Odessey & Oracle is really great!
As great as it is to listen to these songs from the 60's/70's, can you IMAGINE what it was like to grow up and be learning about life when these songs were "new" and SUCH A HUGE part of every teenager's life?!! I feel SO fortunate to have had that experience! I am so glad to see younger people enjoying the music my generation just took for granted. I really enjoy watching your reaction videos and look forward to seeing more!
They finally inducted The Zombies in the Rock and Roll hall of fame. It was long overdue. All my teen years took place during the 60's era . The Zombies was one of my favourite bands..
It's the Time... of the Season! Yep, this song is it and is lit. A true classic of the late 1960's, yet timeless in it's sound and simple message. Oh, and the sound of that great, churning Hammond organ featured throughout. Yes. Glad that you two really enjoyed it for what it is.
A great band that was introduced to USA and Canada during the first wave of the " British Invasion" of the mid-sixties after the Beatles opened the market for all the great musicians in Britain to be discovered world-wide
That killer organ is none other than Rod Argent who later went on to have a hit with "Hold Your Head Up" I'm not sure if you've reacted to that song yet, but the long version is a must!
I love these old songs....didn't realize how blessed I was growing up with a mom listening to these old classics until I started reacting to music videos on RUclips! You guys are great...Love & light! ❤😁
This 45 was my Faberge Egg, which I shared with everyone, and played over and over and over at home, when not doing homework. I consider this to be proto-progressive, since it had keyboards, complex rhythms, and were created for future generations to enjoy. And it is so cool to see you future generations indeed enjoying it. My hope and wish for the new year is that the timeless and beautiful Rod Argent and Colin Blunstone (Zombies) grant y'all an interview...maybe about some of the music you have already reviewed.
I grew up during this era of rock. You guys made me realize how great the music was that we just took for granted. To us it was every day good music on the radio, ....and the music kept on coming like this for years.
I'm in my 60's, I've seen 1000's of live acts...NOBODY ever got a TRIPLE STANDING OVATION, except the Zombies, for this song‼️ They were so truly ahead of their time, they broke up when this song came out, in 1967...it wasn't till '69, when this was released as a smash hit, single‼️
There’s an excellent video with this- love it cause it shows the fashion and Woodstock era- you’d see all the hippies and teasing, literally, in that video- body painting one another, etc.. It’s not a live, just a great video depicting the era and this song- y’all should check it out when you get the chance- GREAT video! LOVE this song!!! Always have- 💖💙👍✌️🤘🏼
There is a horrid advantage and wake up call when I hear reactions to these old songs. I find out that I had NO IDEA of the correct words. I did not know it was a sexy song. Also, back in the day, we had no idea what our favorite groups even looked like unless they were on TV. It's strange after 40 years to finally put a face to a song.
When I saw what song it was I listen to the very beginning as usual and hear you talk about good energy and everything and then say are you ready and man I couldn’t hold it in anymore I started laughing because in no way shape or form are you ready for this song and it’s exotic unique erotic flair that it possesses the 60s 70s some of the 50s 80s and 90s was the best era of music. When musicians played instruments and you could feel the soul connection between the instrument and the person we don’t have that today as always love your show love you guys S&M squad peace love and joy to you and yours
The 60s was full of Motown, The British Invasion which including The Zombies and all the others of Soul, Pop, Country, crossovers etc. That to me was definitely telling the stories of what was happening in the US and around the regarding Vietnam War, Civil Rights, Women's Rights and everything else all going on at once. Once again great reactions yall ✊🏾✌🏾👍🏾
I love the Zombies. These sweet choir boy vocals and a name like Zombies. Perfect. My favorite song is "Care of Cell 44"--a song about a man welcoming his girl back after she gets out of jail.
What a great generation I grew up in. Great music and lyrics. So glad your enjoying it too. Keep them coming. The zombies made some super music that I hope you feature in the near future.
From watching you , I found you both have beautiful old souls . You bring joy and sorrow to me and probably a few more people. We all have lost people on this journey called life . Watching you brings those wonderful moments back to life . Thank you
Y'all would have made great flower children back in the day....I remember when this song came out...along with so many others...keep the journey going....later.
Back then, a lyricist had to be extremely clever 😂' In this time, give it to me easy, and let me try ..'With pleasured hands' Even the 'clicking of the tongue' followed by the 'Ahhh' 😂
@@Zebred2001 might be right... In the ( American) studio's there was a hand held clap-board that was used a lot back-in-the-day too. Not sure about British recording studio's
This song takes me back to four years ago. As a Pharmacy student at the university I used to walk to the hospital where I was an intern listening to this song in my earphones while walking. I also listened to "She's not there" by them.
You guys seem to really like the 50's, 60's, and 70's... you might want to continue on your original path (reactions no one else is doing) and react to the legendary Disc Jockey... the late, great, Wolfman Jack.. lots of videos on RUclips of him.. have a listen... you might be surprised..
The band states that they don't know why their original bass player came up with that name, but it's long been speculated that since their drummer was Hugh Grundy and an opponent of the Green Lantern in the comics was named Soloman Grundy and was a Zombie ,,,,so,,,
Was he born on a Monday, christened on a Tuesday, married on a Wednesday, taken ill on a Thursday, grew worse on a Friday, died on a Saturday, and buried on a Sunday?
❤❤This song!! When I hear this song it stimulates my mental jukebox & Groovin, Crystal Blue Persuasion pops into my head. It was sampled by Melanie Fiona in ‘Give It To Me Right’. My son was in high school when her song was released and recognized that she sampled The Zombies because he’d heard me play it many times and love the lyrics especially ‘what’s your name, who’s your daddy’?
In the modern era of music, everyone tries to produce a good beat and add a catch hook to it......but back in the 60's music was much more rhythm and melody-oriented.....this song has a PHAT BEAT!.....it's been sampled many times by artists in all genres and if this song was just an instrumental, it would still be a killer track!
the more I watch you two do reactions the more I think that it would be cool to meet you. you would fit right in with our group of friends. Your actions, expressions, what you think, listening to you is like getting together with our best friends. If you are ever in NC look us up. Thanks for the reaction!

No Time? Are you sure you’re not thinking of the Guess Who? I don’t know of one by the Zombies.

The best one word description of this song: sensual.

The Zombies is one of my favorite 60's bands - recently induced into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
A song by them that I like quite a lot is "Tell Her No." They're also famous for "She's Not There."
She’s Not There is another favorite of mine.
"SHE'S NOT THERE".
