Wow, thank you for showing the realness behind starting a brand! I tried selling handmade clothing and ran into similar issues. Underinvesting and having no idea what I was doing 😄. At this point I’m focusing on promoting my sewing lessons via Instagram and growing a sewing how-to RUclips channel. The things that feel like they come naturally and don’t require much financial investment. I’m learning about marketing and being consistent/persistent this way, and some day in the future when I have a good amount saved up, I’ll take the risk and try the clothing brand again. I know a lot of people take this approach.
I truly understand your struggle! My story is pretty similar to yours except I did not go to school and have taught, myself everything I know, also I have 3 girls and work a full-time job. Sewing, designing and creating clothes is truly something that I enjoy but it has not been easy. So... I understand your pain. Thanks for this.
I absolutely loved this and I can’t wait to order from you! I’m wanting to start my own business and my journey is the same as your I just haven’t re launched or taken the time for myself. So thank you for making this video. It gives me so much hope that I’ll be okay. 🖤 your so strong
I appreciate your transparency and I hope it has gotten better for you. Self care is so important. You mentioned that and some others things that we all learn when we hear the motivational speeches and but I’m what’s even more important is application. That’s where a lot of us struggle. I really hope you are still pushing forward so that you can inspire us all even more❤
Respect! It's not easy to start a business, it's probably even harder to maintain it. Don't be discouraged along the journey, keep the faith and keep moving. All the best.
Thanks so much for sharing all of that with us beautiful! I’m so proud of you for overcoming so many hiccups in your personal and business life. God bless 💞💞💞💞💞
I can relate to EVERYTHING you went through and am also in the process (I'm literally still working on my sewing skills) of starting a handmade clothing brand. This video was very transparent and motivational. YOU GOT THIS GIRL!!! P.S. that top is gorgeous
True i am a fashion designer with no degree in fashion i worked for 22 yrs in this field with a team of 24 ppl.i searched a lot for detail of gow to start a fashion buisness on my own.and finally i have my own brick n mortar shop..i wish i cld have learnt pattern making in my 22 yrs. But thanku.
I really needed to hear this. Like, I fully understand your process because I'm going through it myself. I really appreciate this video and, hopefully my own launch happens in a week!
Congratulations on launching your business! Your story is very similar to my life as well! I was working on my debut collection when the pandemic hit. Then I put it on the back burner and started an etsy for masks. But tbh, my love has always been to make actual clothing for people. that is my passion. And I'm definitely proud of you for taking this journey. Thank you for being transparent about your process. I've been in your position before and I'm currently suiting up to launch again. I appreciate the content! can't wait to see more! best of luck to you! -Taivy
Hi! Thanks for encouragement 🥰😍 I suggest you make some videos about how to sew ! I really got motivated to learn how to sew after watching your videos 💋🥰
I got emotional watching this! I can relate to the self-confidence thing. I've only had a few of my items sold, and it's meant so much to me! But since then, nothing. It sucks for now, but it's all part of the process.
We got this! I've been on a bit of a thinking/saving money hiatus for my business. I launched with no plan; end of last year I realized I needed to think smart with what I am wanting for my brand. It's so hard when you see other people's businesses popping off, but like you said it is all a part of the process and in due-time our time will come. BUT always think of how to improve! If something isn't working, what can you do to better the next time you launch a product or make sales, etc. Keep it going love. You got this
I am in school for fashion design and I finally decided to take the next step to opening my own clothing business. It’s been really hard with absolutely no support from my family but this video has been a inspiration!
Thank you! So awesome! You got this love💓 It's tough when loved one's aren't supportive, but I use that as fuel🔥 to keep me going and prove to my self that it's achievable no matter what!

Hi, I feel the same way - I went to Fashion School quite a long time ago and now I am a teacher, however I have always had a dream to have my own business. I set up a YT channel which isn't doing well at all either, so I just think I am not worthy, even though i still try - sometimes I wonder why I keep going when I see all these other channels doing crazy stupid stuff and getting millions of subs/views! I am lucky that I have a stable FT teaching job and I do love it, but it's not full-filling 100% of my heart. I also have a ten year old and am married. I am 53 now and my time is getting less so it's either do or die. Oh I also have an Etsy shop which i sold nothing so i have unlisted for now. I just make and sell scrunchies at markets and not that successfully, but clothing is my trade and what I should really be doing ....... thanks for sharing your journey and sorry for over-sharing my woes🤣
Social media is your friend when having a business. I still have a hard time being consistent (posting everyday on socials) but I do my best cause it will all be worth it one day🖤. You got this! Sending nothing but positive energy your way for you and your business ☁️☺️🌼
You’re welcome ! It’s very inspiring considering that I wish to be a designer with my very own business one day. Keep going and reach for the stars !!!
Your story is really similar to mine. I just "launched " my eco-friendly clothing brand called Maya Litzia but I still have to figure a lot of things out 😄 after making a lot of mistakes.
We got this🖤 it's all trial and error, but never giving up through all the mistakes. Is your Instagram Maya litzia? I'm going to follow☺️! I can't wait to see your clothing brand flourish ✨🌼
@@sheerlo yes me too. I saw that you followed my brand, thank you for the support. I just followed you with my personal account and liked all your post. I hope it will help for the algorithm! 😉
