    Hey! You finally turned on comments on your videos. Great. Half the fun is being able to chat with others interested in DIY mechanics. Thanks.

    Great video and thanks for posting. Staring down a rebuild right now, and while I have tons of experience tearing apart engines, have always been skittish about messing with the tranny. This gives me a lot of insight, so thanks again!

      @thestateofreal2533  Год назад +1

      In my experience, you have good reason to be skittish around trannys but I would say the easiest ones to rebuild are manual ones. Automatics have much more nuance. I rebuilt my 1991 Bronco E4OD trans and I didn’t get it right the first time. Now I have a couple under my belt but you have to start to learn!

      Like most other things, take pictures/ videos before you tear down so you can see how they went back together if you get in a jam.

    That reverse plate is what bends causing reverse lock out,no? I have that same trans where that happened but i just swapped it with the 96’JDM trans. Still have that trans though too! Meu amigo, gostaria muito de saber se existe compatibilidade de peças, algo do tipo meu cb9 seria F cambio P2, preciso muito do kit sincronismo da terceira marcha com a capa e engrenagem, saberia dizer se tem algum outro que posso usar no lugar? Brasil nao existe nenhum reparo ou algo do tipo, to desesperado temos menos de 300 unidades de accord 90/96 manual no territorio todo... ta complicado.

    Yeah it takes allot of huevos to crack into a Honda tranny. Especially the automatics. So many parts...
    I had a shop in HB that works on NSX and Lamborghini, etc... work on my 2002 Ep3 transmission. One old man from start to finish spent a month rebuilding my transmission. After he put it all together it never misses a shift or grinds going into gear. Prior to this I even had the Honda dealer fix several gears under warranty and it shifted like crap! I dunno what that old man did but 100k miles later and the transmission still solid

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  Год назад +1

      With the manual transmission they are pretty easy to rebuild and shim. Automatics have a lot more going on.

    • @thestateofreal2533

      Never had that problem but I tend to go with heating up the case that surrounds a stuck bearing.

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  Год назад

      If the bearing is trashed then weld two bolts to it and use a slide hammer on either side incrementally. There are bearing pullers out there for this application

    For the high pressure power steering hose did you have to unpressurized it? Or what

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  4 года назад +2

      Nope it’s only under pressure when the pump is running. The pressure gets higher with rpms so opening it at high rpm would be dangerous but not with the car off.

  • @LouhMaylin

    There are 2 bolts that are a little longer than the others on the case. Where on the case do those go?

      Not the really long ones but the 2 slightly longer ones that go around the outside of the case.

    What cars come with compatible lsds for h series transmissions?

    • @thestateofreal2533
      @thestateofreal2533  4 года назад +1

      All the JDM ones: m2b4 (prelude sir). You will pay about $800 one of those trans so you might as well get an Mfactory or Quaife LSD.
      Other options LSD blocking plate or weld the stock diff. Con: won’t hold for big power and wheel hop.
