Hi Robert, unfortunately there are almost no photographs of the beach pillboxes from the time apart from the aerial photographs. On our blog you can see one photograph of the pillbox in the background of a post-war photograph (this is thought to be the one by the walkway now almost completely covered by the dunes). tairawhitimuseum.org.nz/2020/04/15/tairawhiti-ww2-memories-defence-preparations/ Aerial photographs from the era are our main source.
