My family and I were looking at a couple homeschool options but we’re pretty set on Connections Academy in my state. I love your videos, they’ve helped solidify this decision more! Like, I used to just *not ask questions* because I felt like people would think I’m stupid or whatever, so I’d get behind, but with online school, I don’t feel that way.
This is my first year of online school as a junior and I really like it , It is very flexible and I can do what I what whenever I want. I only miss brick and mortar because it is more organized , now I can do what I want when I want how I want but in b&m I had a schedule to follow and it kept my life organized. That’s the only thing I miss

I did connections academy as well and I’m a freshman (technically a sophomore now)I did online for a couple months and next year I’m going back to public school just because it fits me better, and there isn’t a reason for me to do it anymore. Online school is actually pretty cool and curricular wise it’s easier but also harder than public school. I recommend it to people who can do it.

Perla Avila I have been home schooled since 2ND grade and I have plenty of friends that I made in extracurricular activities so I don't really think you will become isolated. And also homeschoolers that I have met are usually alot smarter than public schoolers so I think that homeschoolers actually have a better chance of getting into a good college. Also they have the ability to study certain areas more that others so that makes it easier if you already know what you want to go to college for.

At my online school I go to the campus every Thursday 9:00-12:00 and if you have after school activities then you stay but for lunch you can just go tot the vending machines and sit outside

Definitely! There were even some days that I wouldn’t get anything done at all. It’s completely normal to feel unmotivated at times, just like at brick and mortar.

I would say genuinely listen to their concerns and questions and reply with patience and be well Informed so you can answer their questions. Provide them with lots of resources to answer their questions and to provide them with information about the school. Try to think of any and all questions they may ask you and find the answers before you talk to them. Feel free to ask any other questions you may have:)

Well it depends if you prefer macs or PCs, how big your budget is, and if you’ll be traveling while doing school. For example I live in two houses so it was important that I get a laptop and not a desktop so I can take it with me when I change between houses. I have a 13in MacBook Air and it worked perfectly so I would recommend it:)

Hoping I can give a good suggestion. I would recommend a online homeschool called Monarch, from Alpha Omega Publications. None of the lessons are live, and while it will give you a schedule, you don't have to follow it, you can go at your own pace. However, this is for if you are in the United States, if you are not then I'm not sure you can access it. Hope this helps!

My biggest concern about online school is having to video/call the teachers that'd be soo uncomfortable
i go to k12 and honestly it’s so much better, i have lots of time to do all my work and honestly public school is just the worst for me lol

From my experience, not in connections academy, you can start with nothing and wait to see what you need.
