  • Many photographers remain stagnant in their careers and find it challenging to evolve as a creative person. They struggle with inspiration and lose interest. The gear they use may be outdated and prevent them from achieving their best quality work and finding inspiration. Photography is an art that requires constant growth and development on the artist's part.
Ken Kaminesky is a Fujifilm X-Photographer talks about the art of reinvention. He offers some of his inspirational stories about the career changes he has made and how he made them.
He’s photographed a variety of genres including fashion, lifestyle, landscape, and travel. He walks you through a collection of these photographs and encourage you to further develop your career and fall in love with photography all over again.

Great presentation. As much about life and business as it is with photography. Yes, there is a lot of promotion of Fujifilm and his tours, but he makes no pretense about that. I fact that is one of the reasons the talk is so good from a business standpoint. He is honest about photography as a business, unlike some who claim they are only in it for the "art" and distain the business side. I think it is a must see for anyone thinking of going into their own business, be it in photography or not. Addressed the importance of change, adaptation and passion.
On top of that, he is entertaining, refreshing and passionate about his chosen field, photography. There are a lot of nice images too.

Probably one of the best B&H presentation that I've seen so far. Very interesting point of view on how much someone's work is worth. A must see !

Love his positivity and the pics he shot. Just a very nice person it seems to go on tour with and Fuji did a great job. JPGs....wow!
Some points....he seems to forget about Pentax 645Z that uses this sensor for years now, does not cost a lot more at all. Same is true for the Hasselblad X1D albeit very recent much like the Fuji. Also Fuji is not pushing more than any other brand like Sony (without their sensor their would be no Fuji GFX to begin with), Olympus with HiRes shots that are very near MF IQ, Panasonic especially for a fantastic Hybrid camera and Canon with the relatively new 5DmarkIV which is a seriously good landscape cam too and in my view more so than the 50MP which seem to be clearly worse at DR especially. And of course last but certainly not least it is Sony with its camera system pushing and pushing the boundaries more so than any other brand in my view with the A7RII and A9 is also a very nice evolution. Sadly the APS-c side of Sony is a (lens) letdown in my book. I will look into the Hitech filters but have to say I use 84,5mm filter (yes that is a brand) that ha sno colourcast either. But I have some small scratches so may be the glass is better.
Thx for this lecture, inspiring and for me in The Netherlands Norway and some other are really nearby. So I might have a peak near Lofoten/Tromsø.

Thanks so much for this presentation, Ken, which was well done, timely, and backed up by your wonderful pictures. If you don't mind my asking, what HDR software do you use.
