  • When Nancy visits Fagin and his gang of pickpocket orphans she's surprised by meeting Oliver and his mild-mannered nature. In this classic musical number, Oliver and the boys remind Nancy of good manners and that "I'd Do Anything" for you!
    Watch Oliver! Now: AAN.SonyPicture...
Experience the high-spirited adventures of Oliver Twist in this Oscar®-winning musical adaptation of Charles Dickens' classic tale! Young Oliver (Mark Lester) is an orphan who escapes the cheerless life of the workhouse and takes to the streets of 19th-Century London. He's immediately taken in by a band of street urchins, headed by the lovable villain, Fagin (Ron Moody), his fiendish henchman, Bill Sikes (Oliver Reed), and his loyal apprentice, The Artful Dodger (Jack Wild). Through his education in the fine points of pick-pocketing, Oliver makes away with an unexpected treasure... a home and a family of his own. Set to a heartfelt score that includes such favorites as "Consider Yourself," "Where Is Love?" and "As Long As He Needs Me," OLIVER! leads us on a journey in search of love, belonging and honor among thieves. Winner of six Academy Awards® (1968), including Best Picture and Best Score, OLIVER! will steal your heart!

I have always loved the beautiful and extremely talented actress, singer, actress, and entertainer Sahni Wallis! Shani Wallis should have won the Golden Globe Award, the Academy Award, and the BAFTA Award for best actress for her brilliant performance as Nancy! It should be Dame Sahni Wallis! I was born in 1978. The 1968 classic movie Oliver! is perfect and one of my favorite movies of all time! I love it! Thank you for posting and sharing this beautiful and classic movie musical number!

I love how Artful Dodger will do anything for Nancy but fight her Bill what fisticuffs and there expressions on they're faces to say are you crazy!!!
Oliver Reed did a great at performing as Bill Sikes Charles Dickens would be pleased as he totally deserved the role! They all did a great job those on the screen and behind the screen team work to bring together such great talent! This scene actually looked so much fun to film I am sure they all had a blast!

Oliver Reed had many things in common with Bill Sikes in real life, Oliver Reed was a violent drunk who started many barroom brawls! Oliver Reed was a sexually assaulting womanizer who did get one of the extra female dancers pregnant while filming the movie. She refused to marry him. He was married at the time! Mark Lester who portrayed Oliver and Shani Wallis who portrayed Nancy in the movie both said that he was moody, brooding and unfriendly and did not associate with the main cast members after rehearing a scene or filming a scene. Oliver Reed was director Carol Reed's Nephew. Carol Reed didn't know at the time that Oliver Reed was his nephew! They had never met. Mark Lester, Shani Wallis and the rest of the main cast really liked and respected Carol Reed and each other. The Main Cast members were not comfortable around the brooding, rude Oliver Reed!

One of the most disturbing, shocking, violent scenes in movie history! There was nothing likeable or loveable about the Abusive, Bullying, Brutal, Crude, Cruel, Evil, Violent Criminal, Thief and Murderer Bill Sikes! Nancy Loved Him! She was the only person who did. He didn't love her! It was one-sided! Nancy deserved better! She lost her life, the ultimate sacrifice to return Oliver to his great Uncle Mr. Brownlow, so Oliver could have a decent life. Nancy never betrayed Fagin or Bill Sikes. Bill Sikes gets it in the end of the movie. Bet loses her best friend and confident. Oliver sees Nancy Brutally Murdered by Bill Sikes violently beating her with his club. Fagin, the Artful Dodger and the boys are horrified when they found out that Bill Sikes murdered Nancy and rightly so! Nancy is the tragic figure in both the Novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens and in the 1968 movie Oliver! It is horrible that Nancy is murdered!
