the 5" slides are actually the same weight, it's just more towards the back of the slide vs the front. I checked the P320 Max, and the P320 X5 slide without the barrel and spring, deducted the red dots' weight, and they were within 1-2 grams of each other.

I do not like the SRO, the edges get wacky, but seasoned shooters say you should not even see that. The romeo3 MAX is supposedly THE way to go if you want a round shaped dot. I know you love CZs but you gotta give this thing a go!
Long time Sig hater and CZ lover here who just picked up an X5 Legion. I can’t believe every Production and CO shooter isn’t shooting an X5 Legion! It truly is a badass pistol!
I still have my CZ Tso, TS, P09, 75B, P10c, P10f, I did sell the Shadow 2. CZ design is one of the strongest in my opinion, so the +p should not be an issue, you should however check with the CZ folks themselves.
Pops, I am looking at the shooting sports innovations' x5 tungsten slug. The X5 legion I bought came with a tungsten plug. So, I ask myself "how can their slug be 55% heavier than the Tungsten I have?" or are the factory standard slugs Brass for something? Did you replace tungsten for tungsten? Its not cheap so I want to get it right. Thanks!
The Steel plug that comes in the legion is not Tungsten, I think they have a weight comparison on their website, It's expensive so I would get used to the gun first

My first thought is that the two have to play well together as a system. Balancing the pistol. But, I'll take your advice and spend some more time with the factory weight.
Almost my same setup. I have the gas pedal, Romeo3Max, springer baseplates on 21"s with new gram followers for 23 (yours look better), and I use the GG competition trigger I had in my regular X-Five
Pops, I’ve heard some moan and groans about a loaded indicator that’s cut in the slide that throws a bunch of gas right into your optic. Say it ain’t so. But knowing SIG It may be an oops.
They have fixed that issue, I made sure the backup gun I ordered had no hole, I have also been told that Sig will fit a new barrel without the hole if you send it in

Pops Quest I was on the fence about going from production to carry optics but going ahead and now getting a Romeo 1 and use my gas pedal I couldn’t use in production. Didn’t know it was legal in carry optics.
Question, while you look through the sight, finger off the trigger, does the slide move the dot when you place you finger on the trigger and begin to pull the trigger? so as the trigger engages the striker does it move the slide "up"? mine does and I don't know if it's "ok" of not. I don't like it as it's a 3-4 inch change in the POI. I have a really early version of the X5 Legion so it might be something they fixed as they built more of them.
I do not see that much movement, but there is slight movement without a mag, I'll have it with me when I see you next and you can check it out, trying to come to your match sooner than later
@@PopsQuest good point about the mag inserted, if I have a few practice rounds in the the mag there's no movement, but I never do that when I dry fire soooooo yeah...oops.
Pops Quest I don’t have a heat gun, so I just dremeled a bit away. The Comp-tac was supposed to fit as is, but it would bump the gas pedal and turn it slightly. I’m going to try and find a different holster down the road.
Planning a switch from Limited minor to CO and just purchased an X5 Legion! I ordered a holster from RHT but I've run Blade Tech ones as well. Love your videos. Haha this camera angle makes me feel like I'm in the trunk of a car tho
Enjoyed the upload mate. Youre lucky you shoot USPSA. IPSC only where I live,, so no large mags due to 15rnds in mags to start . No gas pedal type take down levers. Wish we took USPSA on here. I have an SRO to go on mine so find it interesting what you said about height. I obviously had to get the Springer plate as well. If it proves an issue I might drill and tap the slide. Also got some grip tape and a tungsten guide rod from Springer as well. Still havent got the gun tho. It is still with importer as it is one of the first, of ONLY 10, sig X5 legions to enter our country and there will be no more till 2021. Cant wait to get my hands on it. I feel a bit dirty going from a .40 back down to 9mm but I am sure I will get over it pretty quick.

I just enquired about ordering one when I was told there was only one of the shipment that would be up for grabs as the rest pre sold. And no more will come in for another year. So I pulled the trigger on one. I have been waiting a few months and all due to draconian gun laws and import issues. My long guns got some much needed attention lately so not all bad. I am not worried about the scoring as much as I am about all the teasing I dished out to my minor PF mates and their sexual preferences.😁
Pops Quest - So leave my Shadow2 slide alone and buy the Sig for CO ? I’ve been thinking CZ is gonna come out with something soon.....I’ve been playing with one of my P10c’s with an optic, love the c10 trigger, plus I can rack it with the optic, (arthritic) hands, wrist & others.......and yes I struggle with the Shadow. But I hate strikers until the P10, I have a 365 & it’s a great tool for carry, so I don’t hate on Sig. & I have 320 4.7 barreled something I took it in as partial down payment on a car & put a x5 grip on it, trigger sucks but haven’t worked on it yet. I've been shooting and competing with an M&P 2.0 5" with apex trigger and I swore up and down nothing could get me to shoot anything else......then I shot this. Finally broke and picked this gun up and have been shooting it stock with iron sights nearly just as good as the M&P with the Deltapoint Point so I'm stoked to get the dot on the x5 and see what happens! Thanks for the info on the gas pedal! Was wondering about that.
Ordered the go gun gas pedal after I watched your video. Have to say feel of it is great. But does not fit my holster so going to have to order a new one. Until then I’ve modified my old to work for now
I have been running the Legion for a couple seasons now with the gray guns trigger and I am starting to lean towards the CZ shadow 2 optics ready gun. I think the sig is great but I don't think the trigger is great and the gun feels a little sloppy to me compared to the CZs. I do think the legion is the best bang for the buck and I shoot with several Master level shooters who run them.
I totally love these videos with your competition videos! However, (yep another however), how about breaking out your E.D.C and doing a cold video shooting it? I'm curious since you put a lot of time into competition shooting with your great custom builds how is the transition to your E.D.C.? Just someting my brain conjured up? Guess I think to much! How now your target aquisitions are much faster. Your hits to a target are greatly improved by sports shooting. It just would show the benefit of your "Quest" relative to everyday life. Good stuff! I just ordered 3 ext base plates. Unfortunately, I didnt do my research. I got hyve +3. They dont even offer a power spring. I ordered a few from shield arms for +5...hopefully it all works out.

IMHO the only people who should be "carrying" (CC or OC) should be LEO or military. For people who require a sidearm for their job. Security guards at a jewellery store or bank. Case in point. Civilians who have a CCW and make RUclips videos revealing what guns they own or carry...and what they look land sound like when they talk. Kind of defeats the purpose of CC. Never mind that it's rarely going to be "one on one" and with warning. Situation ideal. Maybe the bad people won't don't have internet access and/or don't watch RUclips videos. :)

Does the Go Gun gas pedal interfere with your Bladetech when you re-holster the X5?
Bladetec sells a holster for the 320 with the gas pedal, but you can modify the existing holster to work

15 yards, but I check my impacts at 3 yards and 30 yards, no shoot penalty targets always seem to be on the bottom

No, bladetec makes a option for it so for the other holsters I can't really say, some guys take a heat gun and just bend the holster a bit

Good stuff! I just ordered 3 ext base plates. Unfortunately, I didnt do my research. I got hyve +3. They dont even offer a power spring. I ordered a few from shield arms for +5...hopefully it all works out.

Whoa! I didn't see that shadow 2 style mag release!
IMHO the only people who should be "carrying" (CC or OC) should be LEO or military. For people who require a sidearm for their job. Security guards at a jewellery store or bank.
Case in point. Civilians who have a CCW and make RUclips videos revealing what guns they own or carry...and what they look land sound like when they talk. Kind of defeats the purpose of CC. Never mind that it's rarely going to be "one on one" and with warning. Situation ideal.
Maybe the bad people won't don't have internet access and/or don't watch RUclips videos. :)
