- How to fix forgotten Windows 7 Password - This is how to bypass password on Windows 7, where startup screen requires login but you have forgotten the password, perfect fix for forgotten passwords, with this way you should always be able to get into windows 7 on your own computer and remove the password, or reset the password. No software or external USB drives required, only windows 7 a some patience.

You can also try PassFab 4WinKey ( bit.ly/2MhhG8S ) to remove/reset forgotten Windows password easily using the PassFab software, if you have any issues with the method in this video, it should solve the problem for you. [sponsored link]
If you want to restore the sticky keys command, go into System32 again, find sethc, remove it, find sethc55(or whatever you called it) and rename it to sethc again, now sticky keys command will be activated again.

I'm plenty tech savvy & I'm the guy everyone to 4 stuff in XP/Vista/10, but Thanx a lot for this! I had already tried about 10 other ways to do this which all failed, used a Win Vista method I'd used for getting a local radio host back into their work PC, tried changing CMD via removing the drive & accessing on another PC, but all the drives, even root were write-locked for anyone other than the drives original Admin. Plus it had some extra security I wasn't counting on. You made what was already a long process so much quicker. Now my friends mom can have hers back & I can get back my gaming laptop I loaned her!

@@GMODISM I was able to change everything in the files, but got to the windows login and "Shift 5 times" didn't launch the cmd screen. Any other methods to launch command screen? I am on windows 7 professional (does that make a difference?)

Your tutorial is good, but the only other thing that should be mentioned is that you should add quotes if your user name is split eg. "Joe Smith" otherwise the rest was good and worked fine.
