I don't know why people have trouble understanding a simple concept. When an aircraft ditches in water, water can attenuate high frequency radio signals, hence the difficulty in finding the beacon in the 24-72 hour time limit. Why is this so hard to understand?
@@TactileCoder Many people don't read much and take little in the way of science classes but somehow become experts when they feel like it. To me it just goes to show we have some room for improvement in our location systems.
That's not a fair statement @@shawnmulberry774 as many are genuinely asking question. I personally have a relative on that flight and I also would like to know. The reason is should a plane hit water, it does not sink automatically therefore the beacon would have triggered something but there was nothing.

The underwater beacon of the blackbox has run out of battery.
Yet we still lost MH370…
We didn't lose it. We were steered to look elsewhere while the plane was flown somewhere else.
However@@P_double_H this system seems powered by a G-Switch at 0:32. I am asking the very same question.
Perhaps the beacon got destroyed on impact?

@@cocojeffrey8502 No, but i've seen a photo taken by an indonesian fisherman in an news channel in RUclips, and the condition of the plane was HORRIBLE! And i think that the plane has sunk
