Nicely demonstrated. What is the required micri SD card specification compatible with this camera ? If a micro SD Card is not compatible will there be a message ?
See if i put my sd card in my tapo cam and turn on motion detection so without taking the subscription can I see my videos remotely on my phone without taking out sd card? Please reply its urgent.
If I want to download an extended period of video - eg for an hour or so - do i have to re-record it onto my phone again or can i just get it from the SD card?
Do I still get motion notifications if I've TapoCare but do 24h recordings on the sd card ? So the Motion clip will be uploaded to the cloud, but I've the 24h recording on the device. The motion notifications are imported for me, not only because of the recording.
With 64gb card and 1080p quality continuous recording, I get 7-8 days of footage. But for 128gb card, If you prefer lower quality recordings such as 720p or 360p you would get upto a month's recording for sure.
Depends on the quality you set. If you set to 360p then you might get two weeks of footage. For 1080p you might 3 days or approximately closer number of days
Thank you! This video was exactly what I needed to learn how to save the videos from the sd card without having to remove it. I wish there was a way to just save the entire recording to memory. Quick question, is there a way to delete the Playback recordings?
I am glad the video was helpful.. To delete the playback recording the delete option is available right next to the download button in the "memory" screen of the tapo app.
@@shrey522 Sure, I will try to post a video soon. For now, here are the steps . In the Tapo app home screen ->Click on the Tapo camera -> Click Playback & Memory -> On top right corner, above the video you can find the button "1X". Click on it and it will display a list of speeds supported. Scroll the list to find your desired speed. :)
You can set it at motion detection which highlights in orange as shown in the video. It means it is recording and doing motion detection at the same time.
Company says it supports upto 256GB of memory card. So i went for "Samsung EVO Plus 256GB microSDXC UHS-I U-3 A2 V30 130MB/s" but its not supporting/formatting.....
Thanks for the video. How can I save the whole video (5 minutes) at once instead of recording that 5 minutes? As I have lots of recordings time to save ?
@@blinkNbeep Actually there is no way from App. But what we can do is use the memory card to get the vedios. Better way than waiting for it to record. So the memory card contains all the playbacks in one hour vedios we can just copy paste to our computer.
I am not sure why this occurs. But have you tried restarting the tapo once? Or if it still doesn't work you can manually try to reset the camera by using the reset button. Maybe that might help.
Loop recording is different from cloud storage. Loop recording happens in sd card. When sd card storage is full, the old recording gets removed automatically. Whereas cloud storage is a online backup for which you might have to pay after 30 days.
In the app home screen, Click on Tapo Camera-> Click on settings icon -> Click on microSD card -> Click Format. This will delete all the recordings from sd card. I hope this is what you are looking for :)

That video was helpful thanks
Which memory card you have used? my camera unable to format card. Pls tell me
I am using a SanDisk 64gb card.
Hi. Is it really only recording when there’s motion detected? When there’s no motion, it’s not recording. How can I fix this?
I already set it to continous recording but it’s still not recording. Only if there’s motion detected. 😢
It records 24 by 7 when you set it as shown in the video. I might suggest you to restart the camera once and if possible update the firmware.

If I want to have recording of timeframe. Do I have to wait for the app to record all that ? Is there a easier way ?
I believe we have to wait for it. I haven't found a better way.

If camera is offline can i see sd card recordings
No. It has to be online.
does it record audio? and can that be played back?
Yes it can record audio along with video. And you can disable audio if you don't need it.
How do i delete playback?
How u change the 24 hours when I gets 1 o clock it shows 1300
I don't think we have option to change the time format.
DOES IT HAVE LOOP RECORDING ON SD CARD?
Yes. It has loop recording. Once the memory card is full it automatically replaces oldest footage and new recording is saved.
@@blinkNbeep what if the free 30 day trial is over, does the loop recording stops?
Loop recording is different from cloud storage. Loop recording happens in sd card. When sd card storage is full, the old recording gets removed automatically. Whereas cloud storage is a online backup for which you might have to pay after 30 days.
Im confused between Tapo c200, Ezviz and Ranger 2.. which one would you recommend?
Does Tapo have PC app?
I haven't used the other two products so far. Tapo does not have a pc app.

There should be a delete button right near the share button in the playback and memory tab screen in tapo app.
