I just want to share a quick story about this video. 6 years ago I had a massive opioid addiction to oxy's perks methadone you name it. I felt like I was doomed and stuck with it forever because everytime I tried to quit the withdraw was unbearable. Then I saw this video (Never Give Up) and I was so moved by it. I told myself if this guy can go from never being able to walk again to running full out down a sidewalk then there is nothing stopping me from quitting. That was 6 years ago and I've been clean for 5 years and I honestly have that video to thank for it. Its a strong message to anyone out there that feels like the odds are against them.

Hope or strength from it. I know the video they show in this clip certainly changed me for the better because it helped to know I wasn't the only one struggling against what felt like unbeatable odds.

It did more for me than the $10's of thousands in Physical therapy ever did. I was in a real bad car accident in 1993 and shouldn't even be alive but I had a separated shoulder and 2 blown discs amongst numerous other injuries (3 cracked ribs, broken nose, cracked cheekbone) but for 20 years fought off the urge to take opiates or pain killers because I knew this was going to last the rest of my life and thus it would be impossible to not get addicted but it was becoming unbearable and I have one of the highest pain threshholds my doctor has ever seen. I had been toying with the idea of trying DDP Yoga for a few years but it was a video with Chris Jericho that Page posted that got me to pull the trigger. I'm not going to tell you I'm 100% pain free and as good as I was when I was at 33 before my accident but I have absolutely no need to take addictive pain killers. Don't get me wrong, I'm no saint and while I seldom drink anymore I do like to partake in my favorite herb which also seems to help manage the pain a bit too. But I've seen first hand what a nightmare becoming addicted to opiates can be and it ain't pretty

Then he found a way to take what helped him, help others. He's Americana. Using free market to benifit those that make up the "market".

I’m 31. Was an avid mixed martial artist and motorcycle racer. Those passions took their toll on my body and in 2011 at 23 I had to have reconstructive spine surgery that failed. A few months prior to that I endured a malpractice procedure that left me with severe nerve damage in my legs including some completely severed nerves. My injuries are permanent and I’ve accepted when countless doctors have told me that I will be in severe pain and on heavy pain meds the rest of my life. A. Few months ago in July, I broke two vertebrae and the adjoining discs ruptured into those vertebral spaces. I used to be quietly offended when people would suggest yoga. After watching the video in this podcast about the disabled veteran with very similar injuries to myself, I have been more than inspired to give yoga a try which is something I NEVER thought I would. This has been truly profoundly inspiring for me. Im very thankful for Joe’s podcast and the guests he has on, especially this one. Just goes to show, no matter how bad off you are, no matter how many people tell you that “you can’t”, YOU CAN. Accepting that you cant do something is the biggest disservice you can do for yourself. What do you have to lose by trying? You have everything to gain. NEVER take no for an answer.

I had a bad accident at work and was unable to walk properly, at one stage i was temporarily numb from the waist down.
One morning after a terrible night of pain, discomfort and thoughts, my brother sent me this video and said, “Bro you can do anything you put your mind too, i believe in you xmlx”.
Well after 18 months yoga, strength & conditioning and building muscle i was participating in a charity boxing fight for my first fight back and playing football again(unfortunately i was unable to return to semi pro, this did not dishearten me. To the contrary, it encouraged me to push)

I was afflicted with patellofemoral pain syndrome when i was 21 this also branched out into serious issues with both the coordination of my quad and hamstring muscles as well as my glutes. In addition I also had cubital tunnel syndrome in both of my elbows due to improper form when lifting weights. due to all of this it practically disabled me and luckily working in the aviation field I didn't have to do much manual work so I could keep my job but I was definitely having to split my effort between keeping my job and trying to mend myself as best I could. It got sort of dark and of course with all that pain came a lot of anger. And of course this put a strain on my relationships. Luckily one day when I was pretty down I saw that video of Arthur and Dallas. After seeing the video I ended up buying all of the Dallas yoga that I could get and it ended up practically rebuilding a lot of the weaknesses in my body as well as giving me way more flexibility that I needed to practically undo all the damage that I've done to myself. With this and some additional work that I received from doctors I was able to create a rehab program that got me back on my feet as well as allow me to use my arms again. Without Diamond Dallas Page's yoga routine I would still be years behind where I am now. It also unlocked a requirement and a passion to learn more about how Anatomy works and how my body works and I can happily say that now I am at 99% of where I once was. Diamond Dallas Page is the real deal.

So I went from having a new job and a car and fat/lazy girlfriend who I really need to do something about, to being completely broke, no car or job, and totally dependant on the fat/lazy girlfriend to pay rent and eat. Man did she really abused it too. My parents, both self-made millionaires, didn't help at all. In fact they only stepped in to berate their son for needing to be bailed out of debtor's prison. "32 years old and still needs his rent paid" kind of thing. And that fucking scammer is still out there, presumably.
Not everyone has the ability to change. They don't have enough self-determination, or willpower. But people who do usually change a lot, because X amount of willpower is no big deal to them. But while that is the most significant limiting factor, it isn't the most common limiting factor for most people. Most people are just too damn poor to make a meaningful change to their life, without it being a 10x bigger deal than the same change for someone with 2x the money.

Thank you for this yoga video. I have been disabled for over 25 years. Eight months ago, I decided I was no longer going to be a sick person. I had a myriad of medical conditions. I took copious amounts of opiates plus other pain medications a day. I used oxygen 24/7. I have so much metal, the security alarm goes off at Kohl's. I focused on positivity and determination to recapture my lost life. I am doing it now medication free and oxygen free and scooter free....I am better. My body is remembering what it is supposed to do. No one, not even my physicians, can believe how much better I am now. I simply made up my mind that pain was a sensation, it would not kill me. Now I am headed into a new endeavor...DDP Yoga. My son told me if I would go completely sugar free, he would get the programs for me. My month will be up Feb. 5. Watching this video has been a huge inspiration for me. I am 65, past body builder...I never give up. I used to be a member of the gym that Diamond Dallas owned. I am going to be able to do the things I used to do. You are absolutely correct in saying it is 85% positive attitude.

Wooooooo! Been doing that since we kids were fighting over who got to be Ricky Steamboat when we'd have wrestling matches on Nannies's bad while she was at work, of coarse. We'd all unlatch her door with a butter knife and get hopped up on her Cokes and snack cakes. Good times. Haven't thought about this in a long time but that woooo definitely still gets me gassed up !💪 Thank you Joe and DDP💚

I have no words.Just INCREDIBLE!!! I am working towards more weight loss myself. I got a stomach bug and I'm still fighting with it. I have been diagnosed with H-Pylori. I don't think I will ever get over it. I have lost 150 so far. Had my up and downs with my weight, but, I have gotten back on my snowboard after a 12 year hiatus from it because I had gained too much weight to ride. I have had a total life change. I need to get into this DDP program.

Self promotion is bred into all great Professional Wrestlers especially the guys from back in the Territory Days that Page came out of .... A lot of people don't realize it but both Page and Jericho were pro wrestling pioneers on the Internet and both had their own websites (Union of Diamond Cutters and The Lion's Den) well before WWE or WCW had one. Jericho even had a message board on his where you could leave question or just BS about wrestling and he'd jump in when he wasn't working. Jericho would also post Quicktime videos of his better matches at house shows and while it would take you 5-10 minutes to download a 60 second 240p clip (This is still the 56K modem days) it was always worth the time, especially since no one else including WWE and WCW were doing that yet in pro wrestling. This was still the pre-Troll per-Spam era of the Internet but Jericho eventually had to shut the message board down because Trolls and Spammers had ruined it. Page had a email list which was sort of a precursor to podcasting and would send a a long email every week and they'd include links to videos on his website. This was all years before streaming full resolution video was even possible on the Internet.

Been doing it for about a year with my mom after she was diagnosticated with arthritis and fibromyalgia, so any kind of excersise that stresses her articulations it's out of the question. I've lost arround 25 pounds (I've always been kinda husky but not really fat) and gained a lot of upper and core strength. But, more importantly, my mom has had ZERO crysis this year, she's been better than ever, like she's not even sick.

This was a fantastic discussion. Normally (depending on the guest), I mentally kinda dip in and out depending on the chat at that moment in time (or just watch a few JRE clips that interest me) but this, I was glued from start to finish (and two hours feels like two minutes here).
There's a bunch of folks in the wrestling industry that would make for compelling discussions to hear. I think a chat with Heyman would be pretty cool - I suspect it would be a GREAT insight into Brock Lesnar too. A chat with Cornette would be funny but probably a complete shitshow by the end of it. Jericho, Bischoff and/or Stone cold would be good too (maybe Jim Ross but I suspect he'd not reveal much).
