Saw this band's very first gig, live at the Electric Lady show Aug. 2014 when they shared the bill with exist trace, Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin, Doll$Boxx, Light Bringer, Bridear mong others. The band's original bassist and drummer were from Light Bringer, and LIght Bringer"s keyboardist Mao has worked with them (as well as Lovebites et al). Vocalist Marina, formerly with Destrose, speaks good English. Also saw Mardelas at Electric Lady in 2016 with Mary's Blood, Gacharic Spin, Disqualia (Nemophila Hazuki's old band), and Soramimi (Nemophila Tamu's old band).
@@thedocofrock1890 I keep saying, there's no music scene, especially club circuit, anywhere else remotely like Japan's, especially for all-female bands. The Electric Lady shows aren't the only such events. I went to a fest last spring (it's an annual event), 200 bands across 12 clubs, all with female vocalists-most were all female, some mixed f/m. Many other examples.
Love Marina ❤! Check out one of their older songs, “Apocalypse “, mv., which got me hooked!! It features Mao, on keyboards, so-called sixth Lovebites, as he was involved with every aspect , songwriting, lyrics, and so on with Lovebites!
Cool Reaction! I started to buy their albums a while back and they have grown on me over time. Marina is a power house for sure even though it took me some time to get used to her vibrato. However, "Patriot Anthem" for me is the one released by Yousei Teikoku 2007 on the "Gothic Lolita Propaganda" album so, if You wonder how excited a Japanese audience can get check out the live version from the "Pax Vesania Live Tour" 2013 with english subtitles and You can see Empress Yui in action. Keep on Reacting!
Yeah, i love Mardelas too, but I honestly thought when Patriot Anthem came out it would be a 妖精帝國 Cover XD Still it's a cool song but it was kind of fun that judging by some of the comments over there I was not the only one expecting a Feenreich homage.
Mardelas has a ton of official live performance videos on their RUclips channel and very few MV's. And just like most of these amazing Japanese bands, live performances are the preferred option anyway. Mardelas also semi-regularly does excellent studio-live song covers much like NEMOPHILA does, and there are a bunch of those on their channel too. A few live suggestions: "Cleopatra" (Live) 2021 - ruclips.net/video/B-wIUV5CzAE/видео.html "Bullseye" (Live) 2020 - ruclips.net/video/A7TW0kO96CA/видео.html
Gosh, I love this band just as much as Lovebites, Marina does have an amazing voice, I've always loved it since I first heard her with Destrose. So glad you decided to bring them to your platform, they released the first album in 2015 and since then no one has ever given them a chance or react to and IMO they are just as good as many metal bands if not better. I tend to be a very picky person when it comes to bands as well as singers, it is what it is, Mardelas is one of my favorites and I support them always I chat with Marina every now and then she is an awesome person. I think the last concert they recorded is the Nagoya 2022 Live here is "Last Round Survivor" ruclips.net/video/MyTA59rPk2Y/видео.html Nope I forgot they did "The Fox and The Grapes" (Live) 2023 Tokyo from the very recent album Mardelas IV ruclips.net/video/4o4ywhMqOWw/видео.html
@@DShiflet01 that's a long list Poison , Motley Crue, White Snake, Def Lepard etc. etc. etc all those pop metal groups in the 80's had a singular vibe and this band nailed that wasn't a criticism just an observation like i said i hope there is a lot more to them then that this was only one song after all
@@ericdarlington2332B But those bands literally sound nothing like this one. If you'd said 80's power metal or speed metal, sure. But this band sounds absolutely nothing like hair bands so I'm not sure how you think they have that vibe?.

Excellent band that doesn't get enough love. That guitarist reminds me of Syu from Galneryus big time.
Miho and Haruna's singer from their old band does a great job on vocals and the musicians are fantastic. Love this song!

Marina, the queen of vibrato. I absolutely love this band, and Kikyo is one of my favorite guitarist. Please more Mardelas. 🤘🏻

guitarist kikyo oikawa is at the top of his game and has been for a long time. and marina is vocally in a world of her own.
He was awesome. I was just fixated on her voice.
