John going after Micah pretty much made everything Arthur fought for at the end obsolete. Arthur told him to run and never look back, that revenge was a “fool’s game.” John looked back, went after Micah, and ended up getting the Pinkertons on his trail again.

I also forgot in one of the missions of chapter 6, when someone attacked Arthur with a knife, Dutch just left, Eagle Flies was the one who saved him. It’s normal to think that Micah was the one who “killed” Arthur, but if you think deeper, there could be a hidden antagonist in the shadows.
Fortunately, Jack Marston, Charles Smith, Pearson, Josiah Trelawny, Reverend Swanson, Sadie Adler, Mary-beth Gaskill and Tilly Jackson are in 1914 alive.
The ending I wanted for this game was John coming back and shooting Micah and then taking Arthur to somewhere dry and he miraculously survives and then Arthur goes to live with Mary and John settles down with his family

@@htk_ket Sadie was not even an idea until the making of RDR2. Only Javier, Dutch, Bill, Abigail, Jack, Uncle, Rufus(the dog), and Edgar Ross are characters that are ideas that are in RDR2. The rest don’t exist in the brain of John in RDR1. This is why RDR1 should be remade, not because of the graphics but because John doesn’t mention the new characters even once. Arthur as a person doesn’t exist in Johns head in RDR1.
