@@deebonoko6818 The most common cause of poor flowering is too little light or not having cool enough temperatures over winter, although most of South Africa should be cold enough over winter to induce flowering, they need temperatures under 10c for a few weeks. Even below 10c at night but warmer during the day should be cold enough.
You got so many from one plant. I planted one seed in 2009, and my plant is nice looking, but the house is too warm so it has only produced a flower once since then. Can't wait to see the update.
They do take a long time to get to a good size, the one I grew from seed didn't flower for the first few years. Since making this video they have been in the conservatory at around 12c and the biggest one has just started to grow a flower shoot. Without a cool location over winter they are difficult to flower.
They should be nice and green again by the summer, one has already started to form a flower bud so hopefully I will have some flowers in the next update. Hope you had a good Christmas.
Enjoyed this all the way from south africa🇿🇦
Have you seen these growing wild in your part of South Africa? I think they are native to the wetter eastern side of South Africa.
@@Gardeningat58N yes i also have them in my garden however i am struggling to get them to flower
