He was proud of his choices. His choices allow him to be with the woman he loved, father 3 sons which 2/3 he had the chance to raised along side Rhaenrya. He had the chance to meet all three. He was happy with the choices he made. It was a pleasure seeing beating up that bitter weasel.

the goodbye scene breaks my heart so much because him and Rhaenyra couldn't even properly say goodbye, and you can see how much she was holding back and literally holding her tears back, ugh and then they never got to see each other again :( and Joffrey never got to know his father ughhhh
True true. In the books the boys publicly deny being bastards and proclaim themselves as Targaryens but I think it would be cool if we see Jace privately being proud to be a Strong

Forget Daemon...Harwin is the best for Rhaenyra. (I know he dies) he still is the best man she ever had. They deserved better.
It's true, Larys knew as much another reason he killed his own family....
He grounded her, he was the true love of her life. Kind, honest, with no ambition except being with her. Daemon and Rhaenyra have a connection with their house, expectations and power and they get power and comfort from each other, not really love, Harwin was her love

Harwin does what he thinks is right and decides what honour is for himself.
He was happy to have her any way he could. To have his sons even if they didn’t bear his name. Christon never would have been able to stomach that. He was stupid to taunt a loving father in front of his own kids
His honor had more value that the hyprocrite honor in the realm , for him honor was taking care of his love ones even in the shadow. He was a real father and husband without the labels , it's so sad that he died that way. I will be crying the rest of the series for him.
good people generally on't last long when the game get serious . Even the originally good ones will have to become monsters .
Those who have good intentions and are noble by nature always are the first who die, in a game like that you have to embrace your "inner darkness" and be ruthless to survive.
The best and most common example: Ned Stark. He acted with honor and attempted to do "the right" , thing that made him lose and quickly was eliminated at the hands of his enemy, he made the mistake of telling the enemy about the carts he had and would use

George RR Martin shared that he wants to write a novel about Harwin and Rhaneyra and I’m here for it. Fanfics are nice and all but we need a 10 year story for the author himself

He was such a good man. He clearly loves his kids and Rhaenyra more than anything. Even when being exiled, he didn't have any regrets and you know he'd do it all again in a Heartbeat. I do appreciate that Luke and Jace got to know him and somewhat be raised by him, unlike Joff who will never know who he even was.
The most honorable thing he could've done is be present in his son's lives, be support for Rhaenyra, and protect her.
And he did, for nearly a decade he did it, he look after his sons, raised and trained them and thanks to that Jace and Luke became noble and good-nature at heart
The fact that he never snitched on Nyra makes me respect and love him even more.

It’s funny how Viserys talks about Harwin Strong being the perfect match for Rhaenyra sarcastically but in reality it was true all along 😢
At the beginning, I didn't really like him. I thought he was savage and had no class. But I was so wrong, it turned out harwin is a very fine knight with honor and pride. Oh and he is the strongest, too. No wonder Ryenra went for him.
In contrast, what Criston did really has no class. What a whiny boy.

I’m really hoping we get a reaction from her and the show runners don’t just sweep Harwin’s death under the rug. If they’re smart it should be a catalyst for Jace’s anger when he lashes out at Aemond after he makes the “Strong” joke

I definitely didn't have much of an opinion about Breakbones in Fire & Blood, and his first few episodes made me cringe a little. But he won me over in Ep. 6 and it hit me in the feels when he and his father died.
Worst of all, he won't be around to fight for his sons and to get his revenge on Cole. Oh the fight that could have been...

Harwin Strong is my favorite character and he kind of had maybe four five small scenes, there are many who think like me, shows how bad this is for the show that they cut his character off... Very bad, he was the second John Snow, huge potential for his character to grow and make this show great, I don't prefer Damon, story between him and Rhaenyra is too weird even for a Tv show... Harwin Strong should be the one who wins Rhaenyra at the end...

they do..all of three are brave and strong and good like their father, in the books he trains all of them and he leaves when joff is older not like in the show.
Rhaenyra and her lovers are legit entertaining. Daemon the hottie #1. Laena the hottie #2. Harwin the Honorable Daddy. Laenor the Unbed. Crispy the Bitter (a traitor but he still managed to smash her). All this while she's suppose to be fat in the book. No wonder Alicent is so angry and bitter. (yeah yeah i know.. but it was implied in the books that rhaenyra, laena and daemon we so close they would visit each other often and its just the 3 of them and that one of this visit resulted with their kids betrothal to one another)

The tragedy I do think he loved her, I think Rhaenyra loved him in a way, especially as her children's father. Aegon loved his nephews, Alicent and Otto poisoned him all he ever wanted to be was a party boy, not a king. Ser Cristan love Rhaenyra, I do think Rhaenyra loved him in the beginning too like first love, and I think Alicent was in love with her, then she and Cristan bonded over their hatred of the woman they both loved for not loving them back as they wanted her too. While Damon always loved Rhaenyra and sick as it is she loved him too.

If only Rhaenyra had chosen Harwin when Viserys allowed her to pick her husband. Then Harwin would've been her husband and none of her sons would be accused of being bastards cause through Westeros law and marriage they'd be Harwins kids and nobody would dare call them bastards and make fun of them. And most of all it wouldn't be an excuse for the greens to hate Rhaenyra.
Viserys gave her the chance to choose her groom and she squandered it.She should have chosen him.

Harwin reminds me of the Hound from GOT. Not as legendary, wise or skilled as a warrior but definitely a cool character. I wish he got more spotlight other than a short presence in four episodes. I always loathed Criston Cole because he comes across as your generic pretentious douchebag with no honor, morals or value to his name. He's usually doing the worst and the most spiteful, and morally wrong things in the show. Showed his true colors at the wedding. Cole antagonized Harwin for no reason other than being an ass and wanted him to lash out at him and lose his job. It was psychologically planned.
Cole acts like a total beta cuck simp for the queen (like Larys Strong). Harwin had a rough and potentially a ruthless and a chaotic personality but he was a good, caring and a loving family man. I'm still team Green and support them entirely for the most part but there are definitely individuals in it that I would prefer it without. Would have enjoyed seeing his character grow. Definition of wasted potential from the creators or GRRM. I miss this character already. We could all use some energy from him. RIP to a great and an honorable person Ser Harwin Strong. He deserved better. I believe he's the real father.
