disculpa mi comentario en español, pero no recuerdo escuchar el "Yui solo" el que se escucha al inicio de la segunda temporada antes de OP. Aparte de eso muy bueno el video, disfruté la hora y veinte minutos ^^
You're all good, Spanish is cool. The solo I was talking about was right when the first episode of season 2 begins. Yui is sitting in the club room practicing by herself and then she gets up and strums her guitar in wide circles. Also, I'm glad you liked the video!
@12:23 That's probably because ... they *are* muted. Every song in the movie was sung in a place where there is a reason to not go full out on the volume. When you play in a restaurant, you are supposed to be BGM, not forcing the less interested to listen to you. On the stage, their placement outside is because Houkago's music is inoffensive unlike the more metal or heavy oriented music played inside by Ritsu's old friends. If you like it, hang around or come closer. If not, it's BGM - at least it's not annoying. It's so family friendly, a baby was able to stay quite close without being scared away by the noise. The classroom was where they were trying not to make too much of a ruckus. Note that Yui was able to leave her mike and continue singing, which places upper limits on how loud the instruments can be. Similarly, they sang without the microphones in the clubroom, and it is meant to be a gentle moment - maximizing the volume is clearly not the way to go. So it probably deserves some points for trying to match the situation in the movie. P.S. @10:33 It seems Sakuragaoka also gives all the girls singing parts, making it the 2nd of 3 songs in a row where everyone gets a part. While the two arrangements aren't the strongest, they've grown on me and I like what they represent - the girls taking another crack at a song they didn't handle well the first time and then showing their love of the school by arranging the school anthem.
I think I found the first person that actually prefer Singing! to other EDs. For me aside of the good song, it also serves as "this is really the last ED huh?" melancholicly

I ripped my brother's blu-rays of the show a long time ago when I made my first K-On video, so I just have the entire show and movie on standby. Also thank you!
Personally prefer the cassette mixs myself. They lose some of the finer details and instrumentation, but I like that less polished sound sometimes. Also, that tape is just like it was taken out of the anime and the little bits between songs are a fun listen every once in awhile.
got a lot to say about this topic but here's to fuwa fuwa time #12 mix clean vocals no harmonies dubbed in it's peak fuwa fuwa time besides seeing HTT play it live
It’s interesting how fans of the same material can have such different takes on it while still loving it. I’m typing this after only watching less than half so far, and I’m already surprised how differently we see the songs. Always figured I had a pretty generic take on them. So far, you seem to have a general preference for the Yui-led songs with a few exceptions, while I prefer the Mio ones almost entirely. Although my single favorite track that was used in the show is a Yui song, that being My Love Is a Stapler. Oh, that song title? Yeah, I watch the English dub version. And I make no apologies for it. It’s a legitimately good dub for once, albeit with a few rocky spots. And I think it’s funny when the girls keep complaining about having to learn English… while speaking perfect English. That is my humor. I go with the dub because I saw the series first on Netflix, which does English by default, and then I got the blu ray set when it was taken down, which again defaults to English. I keep meaning to run through the series in Japanese, but at this point, the voices are so ingrained in my head that it feels weird to me. Oh well. I’ll get there eventually. Anyway. You don’t care for Don’t Say Lazy, which I really like, to the point where it was the first K-On song I learned to play on bass. And I love Sweet Bitter Beauty Song for that spunky pop-rock sound, which you think sounds like it’s trying too hard. Meanwhile, Utauyo Miracle might be my least favorite OP, while it’s top of the pile for you. And most glaring example of all, if I were to do my own version of this list, Gohan would be… eh, lower mid-tier. Not at all bad and certainly fitting, but far from my favorite. And then there are several we agree on, like Samidare 20 Love and Heart Goes Boom being totally badass songs; again, I love playing the bass lines on those songs. Could go on, but I think that says enough. It’s interesting to me. Obviously, neither of us is wrong, and I didn’t come to this video seeking validation for my opinions or to stir up trouble. I like hearing different takes like this. I’ve never had my mind changed by ranking videos or reviews. I just see it as broadening my horizons. Especially since I’ve somehow never even heard of some of these songs. I thought I’d heard them all at least a dozen times. Hm. Wonder if I can get my hands on one of these disc sets…
Thanks for sharing your perspective! I agree, it’s cool how people can like the same thing but feel wildly different about every aspect of it. About the dub, I actually grew a soft spot for it while editing this video for like 2 dozen hours since I use dub clips to avoid subtitles. I was editing this video for so long it feels like I rewatched the entire show dubbed lol
@@Totaraum That’s about how I’m feeling with the original audio. I’ve seen so many clips in Japanese that it’s starting to feel right in my head too. I have this weird bit of mental gymnastics where Stephanie Sheh IS Yui and Christina Vee IS Mio because the casting is just about perfect, but their singing voices are definitely the original actors. I’m going to watch with the original audio before too long. Maybe I’ll use it to practice Japanese. God knows I haven’t practiced enough. By the way, I meant to say this in the original comment: don’t feel bad about trash talking Azusa’s singing. Her poor singing ability is actually a plot point in the manga. So I’m fairly confident that her VA can actually sing much better than what we hear from Azusa, but they told her to do it badly on purpose so it’s consistent with the manga. Probably a similar deal for Jun too. Still, it’s a shame that some otherwise great songs are tarnished by that.

Gotta ask tho for how much k-on b-roll is included did you more or less record the entire show + movie and splice it in where needed? Amazing work tho keep it up!!
I ripped my brother's blu-rays of the show a long time ago when I made my first K-On video, so I just have the entire show and movie on standby. Also thank you!
Dear God
He can't help us now
Over an hour. Jesus
It sure is
This is the video of all time
Personally prefer the cassette mixs myself. They lose some of the finer details and instrumentation, but I like that less polished sound sometimes. Also, that tape is just like it was taken out of the anime and the little bits between songs are a fun listen every once in awhile.
Oh god. You overdid it! OTSUKARESAMA!
got a lot to say about this topic but here's to fuwa fuwa time #12 mix clean vocals no harmonies dubbed in it's peak fuwa fuwa time besides seeing HTT play it live
The perfect database
Now I can make 257 K-ON mod videos
