It was a bittersweet goodbye to Caitlin. She has grieved so much for the people she’s lost. Once she lost frost, she would do anything to the bring her back and that ended up killing her and making a new person. I do think we will see her or frost around the end of the season if team flash needs Caitlin or frost back. Kinda disappointed how they just killed Caitlin off like that, but technically she and frost are asleep somewhere in Khione body.
Really shows how broken, Caitlin was that she couldn't accept it. Unfortunately, it makes Frost sacrifice pointless now as Caitlin ended up dying anyway.
It sucks for Caitlin but in some ways this is a fitting end. S8 showed Caitlin hadn't moved on in 8 years. She was attached to Ronnie and then Frost. Maybe Khione will actually live a life. Still think Caitlin will come back in the series finale though.
I’m not convinced Caitlin and frost are gone for good, we might even get Caitlin, frost and Khione to show up all at once, my only guess is khione is a mix of Caitlin and frost’s personality, so maybe they’ll find a way to somehow bring Caitlin and frost back with khione staying.
From the way Khione talks along with her gentle kind nature I feel like she embraces the best parts of Caitlin and I believe that deep down inside Caitlin would have wanted this for herself I know that this isn't Caitlin but this version is what would be the best version of her. Very much looking forward to seeing what her powers are going to be as I've never really read the comics maybe she will be like Storm from X-Men who's to say but I know one thing I'm looking forward to her character development over this season
I think this was a kinder outcome for Caitlin\khionne , Caitlin had suffered so much It hurts to see one of the kindest characters getting the shortest ends of the stick
Honestly this episode brought out more so on Caitlin's tragedy (yet shreaded some light in it), something that I feel TV hadn't really done in a good manner in a while but this is sorta the closest one nowadays. Caitlin never really moved on and that was the purpose, that's why she failed and died. Season 8 showed that even after so many long years, Caitlin never really fully moved on from Ronnie and was so quick to bring him back regardless on the risk and consequences which led to the death of Frost, instead of taking time grieving and slowly moving on, she instead choose to bring her back which instead killed her in the process and created a new freely person. There is some tradegy but also some light in it because I feel like Khione will live something and learn, and be able to do things that neither Caitlin or Frost never been able to do.
Grieve doesn't go away , even years later Caitlin sadly was too emotionally broken after Frost she pretty much has nothing to live for. That's honestly a failure on team flash part , seasons of trauma, killer boyfriends they just let her be , and didn't reach out.

If you think about it , she kind became emotionally dependent on frost by season 4 & had no real life outside of star labs. Of course I also blame the writers for not fully addressing her constant emotional trauma , caitlin has honestly felt aimless for several seasons.

So Caitlin is dead after all since her attempt to resurrec Frost but only succeeding to create a new persona Called Keon and Caitlin is gone for good and so of all her memories too and it really is sad but i hope at least that Keon is staying in team flash. Also I'm gonna miss Caitlin so much because now the original team members of the flash is falling apart i know that is the final season but come on and i hope in those final episodes Cisco will appear.
Honestly this was such a weird episode. it's not bad per say but no that good especially with that whole dilemma with frost/caitlin/new caitlin. caitlin having this storyline this late into the show and well she's effectively killed off.
to add as well, this should've been a plot point at least season 5-6 or 7 not at the last season since throughout the 9 seasons, caitlin had little to no significance on the show after season 3.

Danielle's portrayal of all her characters are just ... love! Looking forward to seeing Khione more and Caitlin and Frost will always be there no matter what but right now, it's Khione's time. I dont believe they could ever be killed off as long as THE body is still alive. Yes, Frost's body - that she got because of the mirror gun- died but I believed that was just a copy. I believe that last season she was still apart of Caitlin within the original body and Caitlin was a part of her within the second body, just repressed.
This has to be one of the dumbest decisions they could have possibly made for the character. Caitlin, a character that has been on this show for close to 9 years is just gone like that. An off screen death. The team act like it's nothing, they don't tell Cisco either who was there with Caitlin from the very beginning before Barry even got struck by lightning. And that's it? Wow. This season is starting off horribly, I'm gonna be honest. They better end the show with a fight with thawne and zoom or something worthwhile, because this is just bogus.

The potential this season could have had. All the characters they could have brought back for the last one. The wells, rogues like captain cold and heatwave, weather wizard, grodd, the thinker, Ralph, Mark Hamills trickster, Julian, Jesse quick, the rival, savitar, zoom, the real Ronnie Raymond, Jax and professor stein, timeless wells, and so many more. And instead this the mediocrity they cobble together? I hope the rest of the season doesn't continue like this, but considering the way the trailer for the next episode looks, I wouldn't be surprised.
I feel like what we should be really concerned about is Caitlin’s mom when she finds out what happened. Why is because now that Caitlin’s mother has the frost gene within her who knows what could happen
On one hand this sucks because Caitlin was a day 1 character on the other hand this is her consequence people told her to move on but she didn't want to get Mark to help her and it cost her her own personality again
True, but keep in mind that Caitlin is part of a team that has countlessly found ways to bring Iris back. Even Ronnie came back after the particle accelerator, so I kinda understand why she behaved the way she did. Caitlin just really hoped that Frost could be brought back. That being said the writers seem a bit lazy these last few seasons with some of the storylines and inconsistencies. It’s sad that integral characters like Caitlin and Cisco aren’t even on the show anymore. As much as I love the show, Team flash is almost unrecognizable. At this point, I’m just waiting for the finale.

I think it would be great if towards the end of the season we discover that Caitlin and frost are both alive but just in a unconscious state within khalion and something awakens them towards the end of the season. Whether they shared the same body or all three got their own separate body's remains to be seen. Caitlin may not had been trying to create a completely new personality but she did and now that it has happened it wouldn't be fair to ask kahlion to to give up her life. She deserves to have her own choice, her own free wil tol decide. No one should take that right from her. I happen to love her. She is so kind and radiant like a beautiful newborn trying to find her way in the world and grow and it so beautiful that she can go on this journey with team flash. I definitely do not think we have seen the end of frost or Caitlin

Deathstorm said that Frost technically didn't have one being a carbon copy of Caitlin Caitlin saying Frost is still in her is because of her meta gene. If Frost came back, it wouldn't be the exact same Frost, but the one in season 6 prior to their split.

You know, this is a "final season" switcheroo trick we've actually seen before. 20 years ago, Angel was going into its final season and they did a weird and largely unnecessary plot line where one of the main people, Fred (Amy Acker), was killed off in a way that allowed the actor to continue on the show as a totally different character. Basically an ancient being possessing Fred's body and mind and manifesting visual changes too. Right down to having blue hair. Other characters were very resistant to her new "Illyria" self at first, and she stayed like that all the way through to the series finale in May 2004. Point is, we've seen this exact character development playbook before, albeit with less "science" and more of a "supernatural" execution to it, and a literal generation ago. WB TV for you, I suppose.
They did this with Jennifer pierce and Jj in the final season too {black lightning } , they brought her back. I’m hoping all the ogs come back for the final season including a true killer frost 😅.
This Khione character with the partial blue hair, which has taken the place of both Caitlin and Frost. This reminds me of Angel, which was a spin-off to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on television. There was a character named Winifred "Fred" Burkle that had her sole perish, after an ancient demon named Illyria took control of Fred's body. This female demon caused Fred's eyes and hair to turn blue, kind of like Khione's hair in a way.
2:50-3:31 this constant theme we hear throughout season 8 from episode 14 to the end of season 8 gives off a mysterious vibe from this new character. I wonder what truly is khiones purpose is this season?
Why should we care about this "new" character on the eleventh hour of this show? I never cared much for Frost, but Caitlin I can't believe was just done away like this.

I have 1 confusion. They went through all the trouble to separate frost and Caitlin, only to "kill" both of them and bring in a new personality with the same powers? Don’t get me wrong, I like this character and I hope they find a way to bring Caitlin and Frost and Khione at the same time so the 3 of them can have a happy ending in the final episode but I think that killing one of the main characters and killing another important characters is not a good idea and giving more reasons to the fans to criticize this show more than what it was already. I loved this show so much and I was there since day one but since season 6, this show already lost it’s concept, they keep releasing new content every week but the story keeps moving away from its original concept and it’s more than far away bc these type of stories doesn’t make sense anymore. And they can have one good episode but the next one can be a bad one and it keeps going like that. Unfortunately we get more bad things than good things and that’s the only truth.

I thinks Cait and Snow soffer a lot. Cait soffer Ronnie's death. Frost soffer all Cait losts and the guilt of Caitlyn's pain. I think the writers wanted to show a new side of their nature. Cait was the primary personality, she was the Brain. Frost was the protective side of her traumas, her shield and sword againts the world, and herself, so she become the Strenght. But when both are gonne, when both are tired, they needed someone that can put everything in perspective again, kindess, and care with itself, someone that can love them again and show the world is not all soffering...And so Khione is born, as the manifestation of Hope that they needed. And I think she still dont acess the powers becuse the powers are still associated with Frost. But I think they will develop new abilties to her,like a more extensive Ice Healing or maybe more control over the creation of ice objects and living creatures maybe.
I dont know what to say about that episode but really guys, those who are blaming Barry for being ok with it thats Just wrong. I mean if you think about it Caitlin started this by thinking she could revive her husband, and Barry did try to warn her not to. Fake ronnie became their nightmare and Frost died after cleaning up that mess. They say grief makes you lose Focus but they also say if you dont learn from the mistakes in the past youre bound to repeat them. Caitlin did Just that and died. Also she did that even after Barry destroyed her lab, so how can Hé be blâmed for this outcome? Really that épisode was depressing
This storyline wasn't needed with her playing third Snow sister. We should have gotten just Caitlin and has her work through her grief and become stronger because of it
How come the whole team is “OK” with caitlin being gone? Barry is not even mourning for her to be gone. All these years, they were like together in goods and bads. Barry’s reactions were not predictable. He should have said something, or in shock with caitlin gone. Because Caitlin is literally dead. (Thats shocking man). So Caitlin is dead after all since her attempt to resurrec Frost but only succeeding to create a new persona Called Keon and Caitlin is gone for good and so of all her memories too and it really is sad but i hope at least that Keon is staying in team flash. Also I'm gonna miss Caitlin so much because now the original team members of the flash is falling apart i know that is the final season but come on and i hope in those final episodes Cisco will appear.

Honestly this was such a weird episode. it's not bad per say but no that good especially with that whole dilemma with frost/caitlin/new caitlin. caitlin having this storyline this late into the show and well she's effectively killed off.
to add as well, this should've been a plot point at least season 5-6 or 7 not at the last season since throughout the 9 seasons, caitlin had little to no significance on the show after season 3.

Danielle's portrayal of all her characters are just ... love! Looking forward to seeing Khione more and Caitlin and Frost will always be there no matter what but right now, it's Khione's time. I dont believe they could ever be killed off as long as THE body is still alive. Yes, Frost's body - that she got because of the mirror gun- died but I believed that was just a copy. I believe that last season she was still apart of Caitlin within the original body and Caitlin was a part of her within the second body, just repressed.
This has to be one of the dumbest decisions they could have possibly made for the character. Caitlin, a character that has been on this show for close to 9 years is just gone like that. An off screen death. The team act like it's nothing, they don't tell Cisco either who was there with Caitlin from the very beginning before Barry even got struck by lightning. And that's it? Wow. This season is starting off horribly, I'm gonna be honest. They better end the show with a fight with thawne and zoom or something worthwhile, because this is just bogus.

The potential this season could have had. All the characters they could have brought back for the last one. The wells, rogues like captain cold and heatwave, weather wizard, grodd, the thinker, Ralph, Mark Hamills trickster, Julian, Jesse quick, the rival, savitar, zoom, the real Ronnie Raymond, Jax and professor stein, timeless wells, and so many more. And instead this the mediocrity they cobble together? I hope the rest of the season doesn't continue like this, but considering the way the trailer for the next episode looks, I wouldn't be surprised.
I feel like what we should be really concerned about is Caitlin’s mom when she finds out what happened. Why is because now that Caitlin’s mother has the frost gene within her who knows what could happen
On one hand this sucks because Caitlin was a day 1 character on the other hand this is her consequence people told her to move on but she didn't want to get Mark to help her and it cost her her own personality again
True, but keep in mind that Caitlin is part of a team that has countlessly found ways to bring Iris back. Even Ronnie came back after the particle accelerator, so I kinda understand why she behaved the way she did. Caitlin just really hoped that Frost could be brought back. That being said the writers seem a bit lazy these last few seasons with some of the storylines and inconsistencies. It’s sad that integral characters like Caitlin and Cisco aren’t even on the show anymore. As much as I love the show, Team flash is almost unrecognizable. At this point, I’m just waiting for the finale.

I think it would be great if towards the end of the season we discover that Caitlin and frost are both alive but just in a unconscious state within khalion and something awakens them towards the end of the season. Whether they shared the same body or all three got their own separate body's remains to be seen. Caitlin may not had been trying to create a completely new personality but she did and now that it has happened it wouldn't be fair to ask kahlion to to give up her life. She deserves to have her own choice, her own free wil tol decide. No one should take that right from her. I happen to love her. She is so kind and radiant like a beautiful newborn trying to find her way in the world and grow and it so beautiful that she can go on this journey with team flash. I definitely do not think we have seen the end of frost or Caitlin

Caitlin saying Frost is still in her is because of her meta gene. If Frost came back, it wouldn't be the exact same Frost, but the one in season 6 prior to their split.

They REALLY didn't know what to do with Caitlin for the whole show.
You know, this is a "final season" switcheroo trick we've actually seen before.
20 years ago, Angel was going into its final season and they did a weird and largely unnecessary plot line where one of the main people, Fred (Amy Acker), was killed off in a way that allowed the actor to continue on the show as a totally different character. Basically an ancient being possessing Fred's body and mind and manifesting visual changes too. Right down to having blue hair. Other characters were very resistant to her new "Illyria" self at first, and she stayed like that all the way through to the series finale in May 2004.
Point is, we've seen this exact character development playbook before, albeit with less "science" and more of a "supernatural" execution to it, and a literal generation ago. WB TV for you, I suppose.

This Khione character with the partial blue hair, which has taken the place of both Caitlin and Frost. This reminds me of Angel, which was a spin-off to "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" on television. There was a character named Winifred "Fred" Burkle that had her sole perish, after an ancient demon named Illyria took control of Fred's body. This female demon caused Fred's eyes and hair to turn blue, kind of like Khione's hair in a way.

I have 1 confusion. They went through all the trouble to separate frost and Caitlin, only to "kill" both of them and bring in a new personality with the same powers? Don’t get me wrong, I like this character and I hope they find a way to bring Caitlin and Frost and Khione at the same time so the 3 of them can have a happy ending in the final episode but I think that killing one of the main characters and killing another important characters is not a good idea and giving more reasons to the fans to criticize this show more than what it was already. I loved this show so much and I was there since day one but since season 6, this show already lost it’s concept, they keep releasing new content every week but the story keeps moving away from its original concept and it’s more than far away bc these type of stories doesn’t make sense anymore. And they can have one good episode but the next one can be a bad one and it keeps going like that. Unfortunately we get more bad things than good things and that’s the only truth.

I thinks Cait and Snow soffer a lot. Cait soffer Ronnie's death. Frost soffer all Cait losts and the guilt of Caitlyn's pain. I think the writers wanted to show a new side of their nature. Cait was the primary personality, she was the Brain. Frost was the protective side of her traumas, her shield and sword againts the world, and herself, so she become the Strenght. But when both are gonne, when both are tired, they needed someone that can put everything in perspective again, kindess, and care with itself, someone that can love them again and show the world is not all soffering...And so Khione is born, as the manifestation of Hope that they needed. And I think she still dont acess the powers becuse the powers are still associated with Frost. But I think they will develop new abilties to her,like a more extensive Ice Healing or maybe more control over the creation of ice objects and living creatures maybe.
