I’d like to know what the senior citizens up there think of the winters

Born and live in Northern Idaho. We consider it on the warm side of the Rockies. And frankly we hope for a bad winter. Not average bad, not just worse than normal but BAD. You know, can't see out the house windows because the snow is too deep. We find watching the newcomers scrambling to rent UHauls to get out has great entertainment value. Sun goes down here very near 3pm up here by the Canadian border.

Craig, you put the -60 pic on this video, making me think that was a usual occurrence! Then you said 20 deg and realized it was clickbait! That said, your videos are more informative than most. We moved from So Cal to Missouri and we love the winters. The lowest is -10 but goes up in a day or 2. It sounds like the inversion is just like LA and traps the smog.

Also, for the record the coldest temperature ever recorded: -60 F, Island Park Dam, eastern Idaho, on 1/18/1943.

All the videos that I see on the boise area do not cover how boise is for seniors.Such as medical care, how easy is it to get doctors and crime rates for certain areas in and around boise.I live in california and weather has a lot to do about a persons comfort. Also,I have seen what over building has done to most of California and from the videos that I see about the boise area the same thing is going on in boise. If the boise area continues to build as they are now it won't be the nice place that it is now.I liked your video.I recommend that you design a special video for seniors. As a senior I know that most of us do not desire to play in the snow as younger people do.For instance what does a senior do that wants the boise life without having to shovel snow.Perhaps you could list a few clubs or activities that a senior could do in the winter. Most of the seniors that I know would have the financial means to buy a home there so to have a video that would focus on seniors may be good for a real estate agent. Thanks again for your nice video.GOD BLESS,Richard

Hi Ricard, Thanks so much for your comment. Doing a film for seniors and retirees is on my todo list and I'll be sure to look over this comment before making it so that I can get your questions answered.

I'm also making another video about the down sides of Boise and one of them will be how the city is building and how it might not make it the best city in terms of how they're doing it. I lived in Seattle and Portland before this and saw how the building and code changes affected things.

This was so helpful! 😄 Thank you for sharing your insight. I think we’ll be hopping on a plane in January to see if it’s something we want to commit to-I really like how you put that. We also lived in Seattle but for a short while and didn’t mind the winters but we missed the sun. It even snowed hard one winter we were up there and we loved it! Anyway, thanks again! Really appreciate it.
P.S. I love the long jackets! Maybe I’ll surprise my husband with a matching one if we make our move up. 😉😅

The fact that the winter chases off Floridians is actually a major selling point.
