In tears I just saw some of my old friends of UM. We got white hair by now, but as we used to say, still "whaling"
By the way it should be "wailing", but 2 miles from the ocean we made a pun.
It’s a privilege to know a few of these guys. “The Chicken” is the standard opening number for this bunch of geniuses
Now, that's serious music! Ed Calle, fabulous! He was one of my son Rocky Yera's first sax teachers while in High School. Now a professional jazz sax player well-known in the Chicago area, my son Rocky, still considers Ed one of his biggest inspirations! Thanks, Ed!
El maestro Ed calle en el solo del inicio 🎉
ed calle, wow.. one of my favorite player.. maestro calle!!!!
Great sax and the band wails as one of the best for this chart
Excellent interprétation!! All the soloist are really keen! And so is the bass player! A great redemption of this tune ! Congrats
Its weird how we are the old guys now.. Still Smokin though... Better than ever..
Ed calle is a Genius!!!!!
featuring ed calle on rhythm guitar
No that's Dan warner on guitar......I was there!
I think it's a joke ;)
would have been funny if the bass player looked similar when they are right next to each
Now I get it
Cloning Program in full swing!
Ed Calle is the most incredible sax player of the 21st Century.
Que orquestra fabulosa! perfeita... Ed Calle incrivel, espetacular!!!
Great redition. Great musicians. Great fellow bass player. Great and intelligent interaction between synth and piano .
Ed Calle is so good that he can be on tenor sax and guitar at the same time 😂.
sax solo at 2:55
This was such a great concert!! Here is but one little example!
Ed Calle rocks!
Wonderful!
Ed Calle é incrivel...
3:25 Never heard that done before. On Fire!! Makes me want to enroll in Univ Miami!
Great rendition! Always good to see a Maynard Alumni, Walter White, still going strong!
Tremendoooooooo!!!! La convinacion exacta de virtusismo y elegancia para tocar de ed calle!!!!! 3:30 vuela!!!!
💥💯💫👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋👋
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
XCL versión, Great Guitar performance !
... GREAT HAPPENING !! SALUT !!
brutal sax
Sensational!!
similar to bob minzter in tone more than Brecker. Yet on a new video on Saxquest with a macsax and mouthpiece he sounds way different.
good music !
Oh Yeah! Jaco with the Detroit Wheels-but the tune was written by Pee Wee Ellis from that group.
Genios 👏👏👏👏
Did anybody else notice at 5:13 that it was just noise from the trumpets. Very good overall though except that one part
I really want a selmer no matter wht the price i have a student yamaha and i really want a selmer
Over rated and over priced. Best horn I have ever played is my Eastman. Intonation and everything about the horn is unmatched.
Viva o Sopro...
ed needed more microphone volume. wanted to hear more of his notes on solos. the king. brecker is gone so who is left that plays better?? nobody.
Algum brasileiro aqui??????
Is there a doctor in the house?
Is this the faculty ?
2:57
Correction, that is Alex Norris in the trumpet section stage left not Cisco Dimas
I found the simpsons Saxophonist!!
Pensei que era o Michael Brecker
Turn up that sax!
Who was directing? I can't place his name.
Looks like Peter Graves
Esos 16 que dieron dislike han de ser fans de Bad Bunny... ¡#"%$ sordos.
the intro when we beat Japan in ww2
uh...
I hate the sound of the bass, it's the modern , I want to be heard sound.
They're playing The Chicken in the style of Jaco Pastirious, and that was the sound Jaco used. Peter Graves is leading the group. He's the director of the Jaco Pastorious Big Band. Jeff Carswell is capably laying down the bass....playing the chart....not showing off. Every player from Miami to Boca LOVES The Chicken and feels obliged to play it....
@@kenjohnson3522 Do you think anything you wrote would make me suddenly like it? I doubt Jaco would be seen dead playing a six string bass.
Too bad the sax player is a racist. He’s pretty good
Quite a bold statement to just throw out there with no supporting text.
@@G8RDucit’s all publicly available via an easy google search
@@jsweenie13 So Calle calling someone by their nationality is racist? Ok….
@@G8RDuc Obama is American, and the birther conspiracy shit is racist
@@jsweenie13 It’s racist if someone is targeting him for his race. Not quite the case with what Ed stated. Claiming someone is not of a certain birth is basing it on where they were born and what nationality they are, not race or ethnicity. Quite the stretch to accuse someone of being racist.
