Thank you so much for the honest review!! I was looking at this bag, and if I shld pull the trigger on it. After you shared about the interior, I started to have 2nd thoughts. Thank you! I watch all your videos
I am looking for a pack for day hikes, and commuting on my bike or truck. I just found your channel, enjoyed this review , and am liking your other pack reviews. Thanks for the detailed, straightforward review, here. I am definitely agreeing with you, too busy , etc. , trying to do too much for one pack.
So cool you reviewed it I appreciate it. I love this bag for edc but the points you made are definitely valid. I can see why some wouldn't want to carry this as it does have a vibe. But it's kind of my style so I think it works. I also agree with you that the beaver tail top attachment needs to be reworked s little. Thanks again for reviewing this bag.
@@GeorgeDEFINED no man you're good lol I mean I didn't make the shit. No hard feelings on my end. Honestly some of the stuff you pointed out was stuff I felt too. I think this is V2 so maybe v3 they can improve on some things. As far as sugestions: Tom Bihn Synapse Tom Bihn Synik Arc'teryx Nomin Vertx Ready Pack Blue force gear Haley strategic flatpacks Triple Aught Design Litespeed. That would be a good one since you just did the step brother.
@@sleepnclass Do you have any issues with the straps and buckles? Mine doesn't slide as smooth as some of my other packs. Like George said it seems that Prometheus went cheap in a lot of areas. Do you other packs you can compare your Prometheus to? Thanks
I actually love the idea of having such a burly capable hip belt even for a smaller capacity backpack--speaking as someone who always overloads her bag haha. Wish that more EDC bags at this capacity have that kind of capable load-transferring hip belt (but removable so that people who don't want it can remove it).
Anyway I agree: too much call of duty in this pack but there is also to say that I think that this is a specifically military designed backpack, not so much for EDC. I mean, that hip belt is obviously too large for a 24l, and it is so in order to attach molle pouches
Thanks for the review George. Its not a new bag, but if you want a tactical style backpack done right with quality materials, thick high vis lining, items accessible from the side, comfortable and small enough for urban edc try the Vanquest Trident 21 gen 3. Cheers.
Great video George, getting to see a video of pack from a small West Coast gear company is awesome. Fun little fact... the founder of Prometheus Design Werx got his start at Triple Aught Design here in the SF Bay Area. Maybe a Litespeed pack review is in your future!!!
Thanks for your great review. The unfortunate part of my experience with Prometheus Design Werx was when I had this shipped internationally (Canada) and got stuck with massive brokerage fees ($100+) when most other companies preclear these products for that. I requested them to put the reference on their website in the shipping section, but they were completely unwilling to do this and simply said it was my problem to take up with the carrier. As much as I'm likely to enjoy this bag, I will not be purchasing any more of their products.
I have a first generation Condor Solveig Assault Pack, and it also is very busy with a beaver tail setup, it too will not stand up on its own. And at 3+ pounds it's very heavy for a small "daypack." $198 for the pack you reviewed is a lot of money for a bag that doesn't know what it really is or supposed to be. One.
Good job ! I get one and I really agree with all your criticism about it. This bag is a good prototype : full of good ideas but not really effective in real life, neither tactical nor low profile, not even place inside, where are the 24L, I wonder ?
Have two of them, black and coyote. Awesome pack. The only useless thing is the hip belt. I can say it all depends on your needs and way of thinking ((organizing). Thanks for the review though!
I have a few questions about the pack if get chance to talk. I purchased it and I'm kind of disappointed in the materials of the buckles and straps. Please let's talk. Thanks
I don't see that as a casual EDC bag either. Seems to have that military look which is fine for some people but yeah in an office setting it will definitely stand out.
@@whemmas I purchased the bag and I'm very disappointed in the quality of the buckles and straps. They don't slide smooth as some of the other packs do. You have this issue? Thanks
@@jonnybaily1206 honestly i think my bag was very well made. its just the fact it falls over made me throw it in the closet and not use it since i got it.
@@whemmas K. I find the lift straps do much of nothing on this pack compared to TAD and some others. It's just there. Even the strap that hold the beaver tail is hard to slide in and out. Do you have any other packs to compare it to? Thanks for the quick response btw!
