Story 2 reminded me of when I worked at a gym. One of the members brought a carbon fiber prosthetic leg to our lost and found, because someone had left it in the locker room. He probably switched when getting changed in the locker room and just forgot it. Well fitting and working prostheses should feel so natural that they can be nearly forgotten. There's even ones for above the knee amputations that have motors in them to operate a knee and ankle. They use sensors on the limb on the areas of the muscles that are contracted or relaxed during normal limb functions to guide the prosthetic to move like the real thing. The person has to remember to charge it, but most people have to remember to charge a phone anyway. They're definitely expensive, but a lot of manual labor goes into getting the fit right for the person. Type of prosthetic, length of limb and proportions, socket type, socket shape, padding and "sock". A good prosthetist does all of that work and will spend hours with a patient over multiple sessions getting the fit, comfort, and style(s) just right for their individual needs. A lot of work and care goes into a good prosthetic!

Really hoping Carlo comes back, his takes were so good, his voice is so soothing and the chemistry with Morgan is perfect. Usually there’s quite a bit of interrupting each other and sometimes feels a little awkward (no complaints, that’s normal) but there were no awkward moments in this episode, the conversation flowed so well and their opinions and knowledge complement each other really well. My ex was so hateful sometimes towards random stuff, especially sexual stuff. She was literally in kink shaming groups just hating on people. It always bugged me. She never seemed to grasp how rude that was. She had an insanely high libido and was very fairly kinky, too, so that was very ironic.
Sounds like it might've been shame over her own sexuality she was projecting onto others. Dedicating time to hating certain groups/people (esp harmless ones) is almost always a sign of some kind of insecurity. The last story: this reminds me of my parents. They both carry mail and for YEARS while they do their route, they have each other on the phone. Half the time it’s pure silence or filled with them talking to customers. Then they come home and still talk!! I’ve been apart of these conversations on long doves when going places because it makes me feel better, but no way could I do it all the time.
I got baby trapped by my ex back in 2021, within a few months of us dating. I always thought it was something women did to men more so than men did to women. But he admitted to me that he did it on purpose without talking to me about it. He said "its just another mouth to feed." He was 41, I was 27. I miscarried at 8 weeks which was extrenely sad but also a relief, considering we broke up immediately after. The next year he had another girl my age knocked up within a month of dating. I pray for that girl.
Story 7- I had a similar experience with my husband where he liked to call me and keep me on the phone for entertainment when he would be driving (for work, to the grocery store, anywhere) and I did have to end up telling him that I enjoy my alone time and he was stealing it from me with this behavior, especially now that we have a baby who rarely naps without being held. I also work full time. I need time away from him to appreciate and enjoy his presence when we reunite 😂 he was a little bummed but he understood!

The last story comment : my husband is a truck driver. I am a SAHM. He is only home for 2 days and a half. The rest of the days he’s working. We talk sometimes 2 times a day. But for sure at least 1 time a day. Yeah he’s not home as much but we don’t feel like we need to talk at all times. Story 7: I almost wonder if it's common for Autistic people to want to be on the phone or spend almost every waking moment with their significant person. My husband is ASD, and he will want to be on the phone with me for hours if he is far away from me. Like when we were living in Wisconsin and he was going to Alaska for the summers to do forestry, he'd want to be on the phone or computer with me for hours and hours. Enough that he'd fall asleep on the phone. Even now we are having some problems, he always wants to be part of all of my hobbies, but I have been working nights on the weekends for my job and he works 4 days/week of 10 hours/day. Our schedules couldn't be more different, but he also doesn't want me going out and doing hobbies by myself. He is always just like "why can't you do those things with me!" I have to tell him all the time "the days that you are free are days that I have to sleep because I shouldn't be awake for 24 - 48 hours just because you want to do a hobby with me". He keeps telling me that he feels like we are never doing anything together, despite always going to roller derby practice together (I play, he's a skating ref). If he could, he would be attached to my hip 24/7.

For condoms you have the option of latex, sheep skin or a new latex free one that's a man made material that contains neither of the components from first two options. I don't remember the name of the material for the last option unfortunately. I did lots of research on all forms of birth control both for myself and my children's sake years ago. I prefer to keep my kids well informed so they can be as safe as possible when they become seggually active. They've never heard the words, "We're not talking about that." or "Just don't have sex till you're married and you won't have any problems.". Those sentences just tend to cause problems for kids and young adults so I refuse to do that to my kids. Are our conversations a bit uncomfortable at times?...yes. will I stop being honest and giving the best information I can to my kids to save us being uncomfortable?...no. Story 2 reminded me of when I worked at a gym. One of the members brought a carbon fiber prosthetic leg to our lost and found, because someone had left it in the locker room. Clearly it was very expensive. It sat there for 3 days unclaimed while we all came up with scenarios to explain how it could have ended up there. Legs are made for different activities. (All information from RUclips short so take as you will) some people are several if they are very athletic. They probably just changed it and didn’t realize that they had not put in with their stuff. I mean, we do say “I would lose my head if it wasn’t attached.”
Yeah, a running or cycling leg are good for those specific activities, but they're not good walking legs. I'm betting it was a cycling leg. The knee joint unlocks to cycle, and then can be locked straight to move to another location, ideally to put on a regular walking leg. He probably switched when getting changed in the locker room and just forgot it. Well fitting and working prostheses should feel so natural that they can be nearly forgotten. There's even ones for above the knee amputations that have motors in them to operate a knee and ankle. They use sensors on the limb on the areas of the muscles that are contracted or relaxed during normal limb functions to guide the prosthetic to move like the real thing. The person has to remember to charge it, but most people have to remember to charge a phone anyway. They're definitely expensive, but a lot of manual labor goes into getting the fit right for the person. Type of prosthetic, length of limb and proportions, socket type, socket shape, padding and "sock". A good prosthetist does all of that work and will spend hours with a patient over multiple sessions getting the fit, comfort, and style(s) just right for their individual needs. A lot of work and care goes into a good prosthetic!

My ex was so hateful sometimes towards random stuff, especially sexual stuff. She was literally in kink shaming groups just hating on people. It always bugged me. She never seemed to grasp how rude that was. She had an insanely high libido and was very fairly kinky, too, so that was very ironic.
Sounds like it might've been shame over her own sexuality she was projecting onto others. Dedicating time to hating certain groups/people (esp harmless ones) is almost always a sign of some kind of insecurity. The last story: this reminds me of my parents. They both carry mail and for YEARS while they do their route, they have each other on the phone. Half the time it’s pure silence or filled with them talking to customers. Then they come home and still talk!! I got baby trapped by my ex back in 2021, within a few months of us dating. I always thought it was something women did to men more so than men did to women. But he admitted to me that he did it on purpose without talking to me about it. He said "its just another mouth to feed." He was 41, I was 27. I miscarried at 8 weeks which was extrenely sad but also a relief, considering we broke up immediately after. The next year he had another girl my age knocked up within a month of dating. I pray for that girl.

Story 7- I had a similar experience with my husband where he liked to call me and keep me on the phone for entertainment when he would be driving (for work, to the grocery store, anywhere) and I did have to end up telling him that I enjoy my alone time and he was stealing it from me with this behavior, especially now that we have a baby who rarely naps without being held. I also work full time. I need time away from him to appreciate and enjoy his presence when we reunite 😂 he was a little bummed but he understood!

I will say in relation to the Taylor Swift hate is that its not fair to hate on her for the NFL thing but, hating on her for her insane jet pollution is for example fair. There are many things to critique about Taylor Swift, the pollution is just one thing.

The last story comment : my husband is a truck driver. I am a SAHM. He is only home for 2 days and a half. The rest of the days he’s working. We talk sometimes 2 times a day. But for sure at least 1 time a day. Yeah he’s not home as much but we don’t feel like we need to talk at all times. Once he stops working we won’t even text after we know we talked already in the day time lol. It’s crazy to be on the phone that much idk how he would wanna talk a lot. My husband gets annoyed wearing his headset for long cause it hurts him.
Story 7: I almost wonder if it's common for Autistic people to want to be on the phone or spend almost every waking moment with their significant person. My husband is ASD, and he will want to be on the phone with me for hours if he is far away from me. Like when we were living in Wisconsin and he was going to Alaska for the summers to do forestry, he'd want to be on the phone or computer with me for hours and hours. Enough that he'd fall asleep on the phone. Even now we are having some problems, he always wants to be part of all of my hobbies, but I have been working nights on the weekends for my job and he works 4 days/week of 10 hours/day. Our schedules couldn't be more different, but he also doesn't want me going out and doing hobbies by myself. He is always just like "why can't you do those things with me!" I have to tell him all the time "the days that you are free are days that I have to sleep because I shouldn't be awake for 24 - 48 hours just because you want to do a hobby with me". He keeps telling me that he feels like we are never doing anything together, despite always going to roller derby practice together (I play, he's a skating ref). If he could, he would be attached to my hip 24/7.
Not letting you do things you like without him is a red flag even if he's got ASD. I've got ADHD and im nero spicy but wouldn't control my partner like that. That's pure controlling behavior and it's not a good thing
For condoms you have the option of latex, sheep skin or a new latex free one that's a man made material that contains neither of the components from first two options. I don't remember the name of the material for the last option unfortunately. I did lots of research on all forms of birth control both for myself and my children's sake years ago. I prefer to keep my kids well informed so they can be as safe as possible when they become seggually active. They've never heard the words, "We're not talking about that." or "Just don't have sex till you're married and you won't have any problems.". Those sentences just tend to cause problems for kids and young adults so I refuse to do that to my kids. Are our conversations a bit uncomfortable at times?...yes. will I stop being honest and giving the best information I can to my kids to save us being uncomfortable?...no. Better safe than sorry and eventually everyone gets used to these conversations so much that it stops being uncomfortable for everything involved.
