When this came on HBO back in the day, I recorded it when they entered Perret's stronghold and that 1980s action music kicked in. This was cult classic for me. RIP to the late great Jack Palance.

Released during the holidays in '89 as an nice blockbuster present. From the producers of Batman and another buddy cop classic that came out months after Lethal Weapon 2. Sly and Kurt were perfectly casted. The polar opposite dynamic gets no cooler than this like one guy is this and one guy is that. Good action, one liners, plenty of laughs and suspense. Teti Hatcher, pre-Lois & Clark:The new adventures of Superman and Desperate Housewives was so hot as Tango's sister. The late Jack Palance (Perret) acted in over 100 films by this point. It's hard to believe for some that there was on-set problems as good as T&C was. The original credited director was difficult to work with according to the actors and producers. So they hired Albert Magnoli (Purple Rain) and Peter Macdonald (Rambo III) to finish the film. The music by Harold Faltermeyer (Beverly Hills Cop, Top Gun) was so good. Themes for both characters and you can tell the difference. Yes, a lot of people wanted a sequel. Truthfully, i think Lethal Weapon as an franchise was fine enough. But with these things, you'll never know. Ladles, you've been watching plenty of classics. Please keep it going.
Fun facts: Jack Palance, that played the antagonist Perret, hosted a show in the 80’s called Ripley’s Believe It Or Not, a revival of the original series. It told stories about oddities, and strange events, that inspired the popular attractions of the same name, that are popular fun houses at tourist destinations. Palance was a popular actor for extreme antagonist roles, often referred to as “evil incarnate on film.” Mark Alaimo, that played Lopez (one of Perret’s two main dealers,) played Gul Dukat, the most hated Cardassian in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. He was brilliant in that role, and saw appearances throughout the series, from the first episode to the last. David Wong, that played Perret’s other dealer Quan, played David Lo Pan in Big Trouble In Little China, along with Kurt Russell. He also voiced Mr. Ping in Kung Fu Panda. Philip Tan, the assassin Quan sent to shoot Cash at the beginning, is a stunt man who did stunts for Inception, Transformers, Minority Report, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Brion James, that played Ponytail, Perret’s henchman, played General Munro in The Fifth Element, Leon in Blade Runner, and Ben Kehoe in Another 48 Hrs.

The song during the end credits is Best of What I Got by Bad English. "Black Rain" is another stellar buddy cop movie from the same year (1989). Starring Michael Douglas and Andy Garcia, directed by Ridley Scott. Severely underrated.
Other recommendable bromance movies from that era: "48 Hours" and "Red Heat" come to mind, both directed by Walter Hill who has done a lot in this regard. One underrated, but very comedic one is "Running Scared", starring Billy Chrystal and Gregory Hines. Another classic one that hardly anyone knows is "Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man".
It's toy, yay! 😂 She's so delightful. Loved her gun shooting impression ' Pew, pew! ', lol! 😂 Tango & Cash is such a good fun action movie. A great reaction ladies. ❤
Jack Palance was one of post-WWII's most vicious, most hateable villains. His 1950 PANIC IN THE STREET is a tension-fille thriller starring the pneumonic plague which has been inadvertently brought into New Orleans via a diamond shipment; Palance steals the diamonds and the police chase seems oddly disproportionate to cops chasing a burglar. He is in a ton of big-name films (SHANE, for example) but his HOUSE OF NUMBERS has him playing he and his twin brother, a prison convict who wants out and tricks Sweet Brother to change places with him. After years out of the spotlight, he comes to life again in Billy Crystal's great dude-ranch comedy, CITY SLICKERS and the second one, too.
The 80s and 90s are full of great buddy movies! Let's start with "Big Trouble in Little China" (1986) which also stars Kurt Russell and James Hong from this movie. Another must-see with Kurt is "Tombstone"! That cast is stacked! "Cliffhanger" stars Stallone. The "Lethal Weapon" series is one of the best of all time. Others include: "Beverly Hills Cop" series, "Stand By Me", "The Goonies", "Top Gun", "Back to the Future" series, "Ghostbusters", "Die Hard", "Die Hard (3) with a Vengence", "Running Scared", "Tough Guys", "Point Break", "Boyz n the Hood", "48 Hours" series, "Rush Hour" series, "City Slickers", "Bad Boys" series, "Shawshank Redemption", "White Men Can't Jump", "Dumb and Dumber", "Planes, Trains and Automobiles", "Tommy Boy", "The Outsiders", "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure", "The Hangover", "Swingers", "Lonesome Dove", "Band of Brothers" series. From the 70s, "Jaws" and from the 2000s, the Simon Peg and Nick Frost movies: "Shaun of the Dead" (2004), "Hot Fuzz" (2007), "Paul" (2011), "The World’s End" (2013), and "The Wedding Crashers", "Dude, Where's My Car", "American Pie" (the 4 primary movie series).

Ohhh yes! Settling down to this reaction... a fantastic often overlooked movie! "Tango and Cash... Cash and Tango!!!" when the protagonists are the bane of existence for the bad guy rofl
Lethal weapon is one of the best buddy cop movie series from the '80s. You can't go wrong without one. And they added a new character every single movie. So that it created a new dynamic. Tango & Cash is one of those underrated movies, yes it was gratuitous, but it was fun to watch. As an aside, I don't know your names, but the girl on the right, you look identical to the last girl I dated before I met my ex-wife. I chose poorly, should have tried harder for her. We weren't boyfriend and girlfriend, not due to a lack of effort on my part. I wouldn't have my kids if it wasn't for my ex-wife, but I would have avoiding a hell of a lot of heartbreak. Anyway, you two are the reaction duo, the buddy movie watchers, it was fun watching you react to one of my favorite movies. Another great buddy cop pair of movies was 48 hours and another 48 hours with Eddie Murphy and Nick nolte. They were Eddie Murphy at his finest.
The little squirly guy that was Tango's prison roommate is actually Clint Howard, director Ron Howard's brother 😁 You have seen him in The Waterboy, the Austin Powers trilogy and Apollo 13
I recommend "Red Heat", an action movie from 1988 with Arnold Schwarzenneger and James Belushi, but there is also "48 HRS" which is another action comedy to see, from 1982 with Eddy Murphy and Nick Nolte.
That review had different vibe. I love these 80,'s movies cause as I pistol instructor and competition shooter I like laughing at the ridiculous gun handling😂😂😂
Oh, and to finally clarify the difference between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, you should check out "The Expendables" (at least part 1 and 2 - the third one is still decent, but kinda meh). They finally got to act together.
Tango's cellmate, the bald guy, is Ron Howard's real life older brother. Bryce dallas Howard's uncle 🙂. He was in water boy and 2 million other movies 😂 you should do Soldier (Kurt Russell) and Oscar (sylvester stallone) next. Awesome movies that nobody has ever reacted to yet 😊
If you like Kurt Russell and his wife Goldie Hawn, they were in a movie together in the 80s named Overboard. It's a comedy. Well worth the time and effort.
The wildest thing about Kurt Russell action star is he started out as child actor in Disney family movies :). For other movies with these actors in separate rolls Kurt Russell in "Escape from New York" as "Snake Pliskin" and Sylvester Stallone in "Cobra", huh see the connection? Good buddy cop movies "Lethal Weapon" ofc, "48 Hours", "Beverly Hills Cop", and "Running Scared".
This is just a fun action movie. The sarcasm is great with the banter bwtn Tango & Cash. Yes, the electrical statement Cash made is true. My dad was an electrician & you have to be grounded.
@16:33 That's MTV Life Time Achievvement Award winning actor Clint Howard. Oh and also brother of actor/director Ron Howard and uncle of actress Bryce Dallas Howard.
Producer's note: Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man is a personal favorite of mine. We may cover it one day in the future, if enough folks ask for it in the comments.
0:30 - Well you're close. Schwarzenegger and Stallone had an indirect pissing contest during the 1980's & 1990's to see who could put out an action movie with the most testosterone. This is why you'll notice in-movie references and jokes between Stallone and Schwarzenegger's films. 47:07 - Here you go: 48 Hours (1982) and Another 48 Hours (1990) Dragnet (1987) Red Heat (1988) Lethal Weapon Quadrilogy Last Action Hero (1993)
Not sure if someone said it or not, so apologies if it's a repeat. I always laugh when Tango says something about Conon the Barbarian, that was an Arnold Schwarzenegger movie. So they kind of covered all the bases. LOL
Great bromance movies of the era that you undoubtedly have heard of, maybe even seen, include the "Beverly Hills cop" and "Lethal weapon" movies. One that you may nor have heard of, but cannot afford to miss, is "The last boyscout". OK, that's 1991, but it's pretty 80s anyway 🙂
I wasn’t going to watch this reaction at first because to me this movie was cheesy as hell I like both the actors but the writers were trying way too hard but I watched it and you guys made it fun
Hello ladies, finally, someone reacted to this movie ty for that, lol, and Toy always has the jokes, lol hope you ladies are having a good week. Take care, ladies
Ha, yazoo, don't go, from my home town, my brother taught vince Clark to play the guitar, him and Andy fletcher (both originally Depeche mode) were always round our house when I was a kid lol
Tango's (Stallone) cell mate is Clint Howard. Clint is Ron Howard's (star of Happy Days & Academy Award winning Director) brother & Bryce Dallas Howard's (Jurassic World movies) uncle. He has acted in hundreds of T.V. shows & movies.
Abby: Boo, what do you think's gonna happen? Boo: Where'd the mice go? Loved the reaction, I always liked this movie. It's fun, but it did not do well at the box office and critics were not nice. But I liked it :) I could have sworn You'd already done Big Trouble in little China (1988) with Kurt Russell on the channel but I couldn't find it.
Saw someone post this and think it's a great idea - Tango & Cash remake with Alan Ritchson and Henry Cavill. They are doing remakes night and day might as well go all in and think it could actually work.
You should finish the Lethal Weapon series. Best buddy cop movie series ever! Also, check out K-9 with Jim Belushi, Black Rain with Michael Douglas, Running Scared, Stakeout, See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and 48 hours. If you're looking for newer ones, check out Rush Hour.
Fun 80’s facts, predator and commando were supposed to have nudity and sex scenes and Arnold said it’s not necessary and the studio said, why not, sell more tickets and I remember as a kid adults would be mad if there was no nudity in a movie.
I was wondering if you have seen 'Overboard' with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. It was actually written by the actor that plays the butler on the boat.
Funny story about that. My family and I were talking about this movie and I have been dying to watch it. We were actually going to watch it but my aunt and mom wanted to sing karaoke instead lol. So I didn't watch it yet but have been dying to.😊😊❤
You should react to The Assassians from 1996. It stars Stallone, Antonio Bandares and Julianne Moore. Its not highly rated but its still pretty entertaining.
Great reaction ladies and just for the record there are 3, fubar, tarfu snafu. 😅😅😅 fucked up beyond all recognition, things are really fucked up and situation normal all fucked up. 😅😅😅 love the channel and have a great weekend. 🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️🙋🏻♂️💯💯💯
Because it's an 80s buddy move, because it's Arnold Schwarzenegger, and because I've yet to see any reactors I like react to it, I'm suggesting 1988's "Red Heat" starring Arnold and Jim Belushi as Soviet cop and a Chicago cop who are forced to team up when the Soviet cop's pursuit of a drug lord who killed his partner back in Russia leads him to the United States.
Yessssssss!!! I mentioned In the escape from new york reaction that death proof is my favorite Kurt Russell movie and in the after discussion mentioned big trouble little China! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ I hope the girls watch both soon! They are absolute gems.
Kurt Russell in Soldier to Kurt Russell in Overboard shows his versatility like Tom Hanks in Toy Story to Apollo 13 or Michael Keaton playing Beetlejuice and Batman. I know the ladies all love Tom Cruise and Leonardo DiCaprio but they were all the same character in all their roles - no versatility.
Buddy films: "Showdown In Little Tokyo" (1991) Dolph Lundgren, Brandon Lee (Bruce Lee's son) "Nighthawks" (1981) Sylvester Stallone, Billy Dee Williams, Rutger Hauer "The Last Boy Scout" (1991) Bruce Willis, Damon Wayans, Halle Berry. Directed by Tony Scott "Lethal Weapon 2" (1989) "Bad Boys" (1995) Will Smith, Martin Lawrence "48 Hrs." (1982) Eddie Murphy, Nick Nolte "Beverly Hills Cop" (1984) Eddie Murphy "Red Sun" (1971) Charles Bronson, Toshiro Mifune, Ursula Andres, Capuccine "Universal Soldier" (1992) Jean-Claude Van Damme, Dolph Lundgren

haha I had a feeling you'd reach for your notebook, Toy, when that FUBAR line came on lol
Brilliant! :D
@@watchreadplayretrolol I'm definitely gonna use it in certain situations 😊😊❤❤😂😂
The little squirly guy that was Tango's prison roommate is actually Clint Howard, director Ron Howard's brother 😁
You have seen him in The Waterboy, the Austin Powers trilogy and Apollo 13
Ohhhh A🥰🥰🥰The Sin CITY REFERENCE
❤❤❤❤❤
Love it!! Sylvester Calzone!! 🤣🤣🤣Loving the reactions
😂😂😂😂❤❤❤ thank you so much! Hope you are doing awesome!!!
The great Jack Palance is in this movie. He is a terrific actor.
Girls there's movies called Lionheart 1990.
Oh, and to finally clarify the difference between Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone, you should check out "The Expendables" (at least part 1 and 2 - the third one is still decent, but kinda meh). They finally got to act together.
Producer's note: we have a reaction to it with Hannah and Tori here on the channel.
Stallone & Russell Are The Best 💯
Tango's cellmate, the bald guy, is Ron Howard's real life older brother. Bryce dallas Howard's uncle 🙂. He was in water boy and 2 million other movies 😂 you should do Soldier (Kurt Russell) and Oscar (sylvester stallone) next. Awesome movies that nobody has ever reacted to yet 😊
Oscar is a brilliant film! Stallone can really do pure comedy, and do it exceedingly well!
Movie is so much fun, would love to see them return for one last hurrah.
If you like Kurt Russell and his wife Goldie Hawn, they were in a movie together in the 80s named Overboard. It's a comedy. Well worth the time and effort.
I have been holding off seeing overboard. I've been dying to see it since my family paid a visit from new york and we were talking about it.
@@toy4871 You MUST react to it! It's fun. I think you'll love it.
@@toy4871
Believe me, you won't be disappointed.
And now Russell is playing Santa Clause and Sly is playing an aging gangster.
Great reaction ladies, always loved this movie. I hope you checkout Tombstone with Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer and Sam Elliott.❤️
Thank you so much! Glad you liked it. Tombstone huh? You had me at Val kKilmer! I must watch this!😍
This is just a fun action movie.
5:19 Abby: "He's my favorite already."
I approve of Abby's approval of Kurt Russell.
48 Hrs (1982) - Eddie Murphy / Nick Nolte ... Harley Davidson and the Marlboro Man (1991) - Don Johnson / Mickey Rourke
47:07 - Here you go:
48 Hours (1982) and Another 48 Hours (1990)
Dragnet (1987)
Red Heat (1988)
Lethal Weapon Quadrilogy
Last Action Hero (1993)
They were real life foes until later I heard.
if you want to watch another cop movie with Stallone Cop Land (1997) is very good
Damn, white suits, 80’s through early 90’s. In the 80’s suits just had crazy colors.
I'm do glad you enjoyed our reaction! 😊😊😊❤
Hello ladies, finally, someone reacted to this movie ty for that, lol, and Toy always has the jokes, lol hope you ladies are having a good week. Take care, ladies
Lol thank you so much. I hope you had a great week and an amazing weekend 😊😊😊❤
Bromance movies? The Lethal Weapon movies spring to mind...
If you're getting confused between eighties action stars, watch thbe Expendables and your head will explode.
great action flick. many forget about it.
About the time Ron was little Opie on the Andy Griffith Show Clint was co-star on Gentle Ben.
He was in the movie Blade Runner.
Bad writing. Worse acting. Rediculous scenes and dialogue . . . I love it! Always loved this one. I have no idea why. 🤔🤪
"Don't Panic Room, I only want your Tango and Cash, so just Pay It Forward, and will all be Happy Gilmore"
If you know, you know. 😂
"I'm not going to william hurt you" 😃😂😂😂
@@toy4871 yes! 🤣
@@Eisenheim1191 lol loved that show 😄❤️❤️❤️
@@toy4871 same ♥️😂
Abby: Boo, what do you think's gonna happen?
Boo: Where'd the mice go?
Loved the reaction, I always liked this movie. It's fun, but it did not do well at the box office and critics were not nice. But I liked it :)
I could have sworn You'd already done Big Trouble in little China (1988) with Kurt Russell on the channel but I couldn't find it.
I looove this soundtrack, so 80's
I feel like 80s movies definitely had the best sound tracks
A GREAT bromance, romance, action, comedy movie of the 80s is "The Princess Bride"
Hey, great to see you, Toy. Watched this when it came out, let's go 🙂🇬🇧
Let's goooooo!!!! Great to see you also! This was definitely a fun watch.
Saw someone post this and think it's a great idea - Tango & Cash remake with Alan Ritchson and Henry Cavill. They are doing remakes night and day might as well go all in and think it could actually work.
It's like pairing up Liam Neeson with Keanu Reeves...
As long as they cast against type and Alan is the suave Tango and Henry is the wildcard Cash.
1 minute in
I believe Stallone did a 'money shot' once
but that's a story for another time lol
😂😂😂
OUTSTANDING MOVIE!
💘 Terri Hatcher!!! 💗💗🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰😁
LETS GOOOOO!!!!! 💪😎💪
BOOOOOOOO!!! 💘🐱💗🥰🥰🥰
Can't believe how tight they made her cleavegag at the end of the movie?! 😆
Some good ones in there. Running Scared has the most ’80s opening credits song, by Fee Waybill.
the slinky guy is Ron Howards brother. The big crime boss was the host of a cool show called Ripley's Believe it or Not. check it out.
FUBAR is a military term, first used in WW2.
16:25 Apollo 13, Austin Powers movies (he's the military guy that starts the rocket joke)
Running Scared is an 80s cop buddy movie, part action part comedy. good flick that wasnt a blockbuster.
Fun 80’s facts, predator and commando were supposed to have nudity and sex scenes and Arnold said it’s not necessary and the studio said, why not, sell more tickets and I remember as a kid adults would be mad if there was no nudity in a movie.
I've never heard of your channel. But I can't resist a Tango & Cash reaction. Hope this is good...
Yeah one of my favorite movies 👍👍👍.
33:25 Lisa Simpson just getting Marge's laugh
I was wondering if you have seen 'Overboard' with Kurt Russell and Goldie Hawn. It was actually written by the actor that plays the butler on the boat.
Funny story about that. My family and I were talking about this movie and I have been dying to watch it. We were actually going to watch it but my aunt and mom wanted to sing karaoke instead lol. So I didn't watch it yet but have been dying to.😊😊❤
You should react to The Assassians from 1996. It stars Stallone, Antonio Bandares and Julianne Moore. Its not highly rated but its still pretty entertaining.
You had me at Antonio Banderas! Thank you for recommending! 😊😊😊❤ I'd love to check it out!
You're welcome! He's the villain in the movie
Now, watch Kurt Russell again Big Trouble in Little China, Breakdown, Death Proof, 3000 Miles to Graceland & Unlawful Entry.
Don’t forget Tombstone and Stargate
i wish theres a sequel to this movie
Kurt Russell 90's thriller movie suggestion - "Breakdown".
Nice reaction guys :D
Thank you very much! 😊😊❤
More 80’s and 90’s classics please. They were the best movies ever made.
He's the actor and director Ron Howard's brother
❤❤❤

@@toy4871 And emotional.
“Showdown in Little Tokyo” is a good one with Brandon Lee & Dolph Lundgren. “Lethal Weapon” series is always good to check out.
LEGENDARY Movie 👋👍👍👍🎉❤
It was so big for Stallone and Russell that they got to be in a scene with Robert Z’Dar.
Lethal Weapon series, 48 Hours series
