Thank you much. Bought this shed at a yard sale and it had been broken down for transport. Putting it together, I went to the Lifetime website, but could not dredge up the corresponding manual. Workin' on a Brave Browser may or may not have been the issue, but your video is good for panel installation, not so much for selection of different sized hardware. But I sincerely thankyou for the help. Mention of hardware size would have made it perfect. Apolgies..., I now see the screw sizes.
I just assembled my Model 60441 shed and this video was a an incredible guide and life saver it took me about 5-6 hours and I definitely needed my wife's help to carry and place the roof panel as well as to push in the walls for the last 20 screws etc.
This video is immensely helpful. The instruction manual is not entirely clear. The self tapping screws that go into the door locks and wall tubes are awful - the Phillips socket stripped out very easily. I replaced them with hex head sheet metal screws
If they would have bagged and labeled the hardware as designated in the manual this would have taken you only two hours at best! I have put together 3 other products from them together which had very clearly labeled hardware. Good products but this one needs some production reviews.
Just put this together and it was pretty easy. I used a 12v impact driver on medium setting and it worked fine. Watching the video is a must and saved the day. This is definitely a two person job. One thing though, the support pole for the shelf was too long. It didn’t snap in. Had to cut maybe 3/8” with a hacksaw and it worked fine. I’m pretty happy with it.
I wish the hardware and all the pieces were labeled but I got it done. I like how Lifetime encourages the use of a drill driver. We all use them anyway so it is nice for a manufacturer to recognize that and just tell us to do it from the beginning. Now that I have done this once, I feel like I can do other Lifetime products quicker.
Ordered this shed online Costco. Expected delivery this coming Monday. This video was recommended by one of the reviewers on Costco product page. The shed looks kind of short. I guess with a tall person doing this shed install video does not help! 🙂 I called Lifetime and with the installation guide/manual but it would be helpful if the person over the phone had also provide the link to this youtube video.
My roof does not line up that easy. I had to walk away from the instal out of frustration. Is the pole that connects the door to the riof supposed to snap and be flush? Our roof top will not let the pole from the door snap into place
Did anyone else have problems with 1.4 on the doors? Why are there channels to the sides of where the screws go in? If I miss my shot and slide into the channel it ruins the precise angle for the screw. I put the doors aside and built the rest of the shed and came back to this. 3:15
I put one of the screws for the deadbolts on each end to hold it in place and align the side screws. Then I backed out that deadbolt screw and installed the dead bolts.
I had trouble attaching the screws to the roof because the roof was slightly warped on the ends. I ended up placing cement paving stones on the ends which forced the roof downwards allowing me to attach the roof to the walls.
It’s extremely annoying not labeling the exact little parts for each assembly part , having everything loose in bags makes the job 10 times longer 🤦♂️ that’s why I’m here
Great video and helped a lot! I had a problem a lot of other people had, installing the roof on the wall hinge tube. With this problem, you need to ream the hole on the roof so that the rod will fit. Why wasn't this done in the first place and would have saved me tons of time thinking I wasn't exactly level instead of a manufacturing problem.
At 18:02 my pole looks exactly like that. Same height. But it won’t go all the way in even though I widened the hole. Everything else looks aligned but I can’t get the roof down. The small 8 in part of the wall is slid to the inside of the roof frame. It just won’t go down and I see the material already bending.

This video helped. Took about a little over 2 hours to assemble with a friend helping me. I do notice the slide lock falls out from time to time. Any ideas what’s causing that?
Where is step 2.26? I'm lost with that one. It says insert a screw (chk) through the right front corner wall panel and into the wall tube. That's a solid metal tube. That screen is not going through that
Step 2.26 was removed from the assembly, as of 3/12/2024. This step is no longer necessary. Removing the step from the assembly will not affect the shed, but you will have 2 extra screws.
I love the part where when installing the latch on the second door, you just shove those bolts right through that metal tube! You have to drill that out to get those bolts to go through.
Because the panels are plastic they can warp in the sun if left out. We don't recommend leaving the panels out prior to assembly. If they have warped, leave them flat on the ground and they should go back to their original form.
You may need to have another person apply pressure on the outside of the roof while you try to insert the hardware. If that doesn't work, try reaching out to our customer service experts. They can be reached at 800-225-3865 or by email at customercare@lifetime.com. Customer Service hours are Monday-Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm (MT).
at 12:51 of the video we are told to secure the long end of wall bracket GQO to the fllor (section 2,20. However, the instruction manual said to install the long end to the channel (wall). which is correct?
Good catch. We're not sure how we missed this. We asked Isaac why he installed the bracket with the long end on the floor when the manual says otherwise and he said that the screw that goes into the floor fits better in the hole on the long end. He technically shouldn't have done it this way and should've followed the manual. But, installing the wall bracket either way will not affect the rest of the shed assembly.
Pro-tip on this nightmare build, when putting the black screws into the door deadbolt (1.5 step) , DON'T! Take a drill and bore it out a tiny bit more or you will strip the heads of the screws. They also have steps missing from this, that I came to see wtf they are talking about. Step 2.26 isn't even in this video, and there are NO holes in the tube to use the screws. I bought two sheds one from Lifetime (never again) and one from Suncast (much better) from Costco, you can't be bothered to put bags and parts in descriptions??
We apologize about the frustration with the assembly of your Lifetime shed. Step 2.26 actually doesn't exist in the assembly manual which is why it isn't in the video. This is a terrible depiction of what the assembly is like. The metal pieces usually have holes that are too small for the screws to fit through. The idea that they are supposed to fit through the holes and then into the plastic is further sabotaged by the horrible design of the plastic piece that they are supposed to fit into. Instead of designing a fortified plastic area, the area is cut away so that the screws can never get any kind of grip. They actually have far less plastic to support them than they need. It’s unbelievably stupid! And of course, the fact that the screws don’t fit through the metal pieces anyway - you know that this isn’t going to go well. The assembly manual is bizarre too. They are incapable of using names for the pieces and they use letters and numbers. So you’re going to be spending a lot of time trying to learn a new language and you’ll be flipping back and forth between pages to figure out what a CHK or a AEE or a GNK is. Totally annoying. I’m not sure if this thing is even remotely possible to assemble. The screw holes are impossible to get the screws through and if a company does not have a clue as to what diameter screws they use so they can drill the appropriate diameter hole for them… well, good luck dealing with these problems!!
