They were banking on Beal to be what he was in Washington but he couldn’t…and Chuck has always reiterated this point. It’s easy to put up numbers on high volume and get quality looks via play calling when you’re the only decent player on a bad team. But when you’re asked to mesh with other superstars the variance becomes glaring.
Suns have an ownership issue and this move should help but roster changes are needed
They were banking all 3 to be their best. They all stunk outside of losing effort in game 3. Same thing Kd’s nets did in game 4 vs Boston. Kd is a culture killer
No, he was the same person he was in Washington he just isn’t that good. He was balling on a bad team for a decade of course everyone thinks he’s good. IMO book and kd learned he’s not that guy and that’s the problem.

@@KadeForever i disagree... the roster had lots of good role players but did not work. Gordon was a miss. Beal did not deliver. Booker had fill the pg role and i believe this was a key to the team's failure.

Correction, Andraya Carter never played professional basketball due to injuries and she ended her career in 2015-16. Also, she wasn't a great player, averaged 6.4 ppg and 199 steals in her college career.

I remember at the beginning of the season how people were talking about the Suns were the winner in the 3 way deal to get Bradley Beal. Yeah, they got the farthest, but they would have gotten the farthest even if these 3 players did not play at all.
Beal's contract might be one of the worst in the NBA right now; not only is he ridiculously overpaid but he can also refuse any trades involving him. I don't know what Wizards were thinking when they gave him that clause, and I don't know what the Suns were thinking when they inherited that.
So it’s Vogel’s fault for taking the job? Why isn’t Vogel getting same support Han did? Also, Vogel hasn’t thrown his players under the bus, or used injuries as an excuse.

It was just a week or 2 ago, Vogel said he had the full confidence of the owner.
Not Vogel’s fault I mean the GM trading away what they need the most which is a PG (CP3) trading away for a washed up Beal. KD leaving GS might have been a mistake but come on the Nets would’ve champions in 2021 if Kyrie and Harden eres both healthy and KD foot wasn’t so big
Durant+Booker just doesn't work
At least give the coach a decent roster to work with. He has a defensive background, but who on that team does? Nurkic or Beal? Of course not. Just like the Lakers, it's hard to blame poor roster decisions on the coach.

Beal was the best player in a garbage team , a big frog in a small well , and you thought Beal was gonna join a big well and be as productive as he was when he was a one man show ? I blame the suns owner for this . They should have taken that money they paid Beal and used that money to surround book and KD wirh solid role players and talent . They gave up a farm for Bradley Beal … owners and GM fault . Not frank vogul fault.

Stephen A is incapable of speaking to professional women athletes like they are equals.
Not sure if Budenholzer will work, but Vogel did not know what to do with this team. He could not decide on a rotation all year and that affected the team a ton. I watched almost every game. He had this problem all year and it almost got worse as the year went on, because it was clear some guys needed more minutes than others. As a role player, not knowing where you stand also screws up confidence and how you approach your minutes. The offense seemed to also be a mess and guys didn’t seem to know what the game plan was, or if there even was one, even during the playoffs.

It’s a case of siding with a player over the coach. Perhaps Durant is not as good as it used to be. It seems weird to fire a coach after one season with a winning record.
If it turns out that Durant is the same next season, and the coach is fired again then you know it’s not the coach
