The Marquee tool is super useful. You can do so much with it. There's maybe 6 or 7 things you can do with it. Or maybe more

Thank you for this video.
I'm not realy in EDM and other "musics for the youth" 👨🏼🦳 but sometimes I could need to mimic these classic effects of the mainstream sounds of our time.
I think the best thing as a producer is actually when you get out of a certain box and apply a technique to a different genre
@@iamdannywyatt That's exactly what I thought, use all the tools and ideas you can, i, art only the result is important.
great video
Thanks a lot! Lot's of love from Russia
Thankk u so much! Hi! From Turkey :D
Wow I never knew about the snap automation feature!
Thanks
Useful tips thanks :D just to add to this, you can turn snap on and off faster with CMD+G
False Start Effect was just wow
16:00 - for risers it’s better to use pitch bend on the synth so you don’t get artifacts from a plugin. Default is usually set to only +2/-2 so you can increase those to taste.
Yes, if the synth can do a 2 octave pitch bend. Many of them can’t.
Great video! when I create new instrument, I must select a instrument, but you create with a blank instrument, then added the drum. How to configure that?
8 THANK YOUs to you
What's the best way of doing the high Pass Filter without affecting the vocals
Great
@musictechhelpguy when it comes to automation snap, if it's turned OFF you don't need to move the first node back anymore. At least in 10.4.6, which is what I have, you can have 2 nodes aligned without one deleting the other. It just doesn't work is the snap is ON, though
Good to know! I though that 'flush' automation points were allowed in a recent updated, but I confused as to why it wasn't working! Thanks.
Супер!
I always find automation on the stereo out a little tricky. When using certain plugins, you also want to automate the 'bypass' for that plugin because you want to be sure it isn't effecting the audio in any way after the transition. By doing this, you can get clicks and pops and even the bypass moment is hard to get it synced to the correct beat/point.
Therefor, I like to bounce out the transition part and have it on a separate track and make my automations there.
Secondly, I never automate my 'volume' but use the gain plugin instead. This way you can still use the fader when you are about to downmix your project.
What is your approach on that one? Thanks.
I also thought the same in your second point, but you can adjust the automate, when you open the automate window, are the automate options, read, latch, etc, to the right the parameter to automating, volume, cut off, whatever, and at the corner, the magic option, you can swipe up or down to adjust the general automate, so now you can automate the volume :)
I hope you can understand me haha, i am learning english
Appreciate, Josh! Love all of the ideas, superb!
And, Band-Pass Filter Sweep, Create Your Own Riser, Remix FX Tape Stop are my favourite!
For Tape Stop, I'll prefer to Stop all the instruments except Drums!
Another method that I always use is "Bass Slide (automate the pitch) ". Just like the style of R&B back in 90s!
