@@yethindra1173 Buying a car is not at all difficult here.. you can find a second hand or new car on websites like autotrader.co.uk and contact the seller 👍🏻
@@ChaloAbroad haha btw ye ananya didi ko hai bhai?? 😀
That's true but it's not just here in the UK but everywhere as well
I lived most of my life in England. When you earn in sterling, you don't convert it to rupees. Weather didn't bother us. We had good neighbours, colleagues and friends. We had very good life in London. We decided to retire in India but unfortunately I lost my husband in 2021 after coming back.
We never compared our life in England with India.
I think as India was a colony, britishers are more familiar with our culture and you have more freedom to maintain your own culture than you will have in USA or Australia.
Those days we didn't have anything like blog to reveal our life style. We came to India every year.London became our second home. We were never depressed and were very happy.
When you move to a new country you have to accept it as it is. Now a days you get indian food everywhere but those days there were hardly any Indian shop but we got used to English food. We loved fish and chips. You get so many ready to cook meals that make your life easy. I had a full time job, did all the housework on Saturday, my husband looked after the garden, entertained friends for dinner, went out on Sundays. You just have to plan everything for the whole week.
As I always lived in Assam, the rain didn't bother me.
Best wishes for your future.
Hi.. Mam.
Just read your post
It was really wonderful.
So..are you staying in Assam now..after your husband passed away?
Sorry to be asking this...what had happened to your husband.
Me and my husband...who is a very good journalist from Wall Street Journal... Live in Delhi.
AND I JUST LOVE ASSAM.
Best Regards from Delhi.
Chitra
I have roots from Assam but I was born in England. Since my father passed away in the care home here in London last year, I have really wanted to visit Assam and Shillong. Very few relatives of ours are in Assam now. It is lovely meeting you both, here!
@@monicanath4859 sorry to hear about your father.
I am in kolkata now. It will be very painful to visit London without my husband but I may go in future when ready. I have all my friends over there but most of them are living alone. I would love to meet you sometime in future.
Take care.
Huge respect for mentioning mental health struggles, very important but not often talked about. Loved the video, some very useful tips. I also love hearing about what you guys are up to in the UK, you’re really making the most of your time here and it’s great fun watching you both in your vlogs. Looking forward to seeing what you post next!
Thanks a lot 🤗 Absolutely Mental Health and stress is the biggest challenge these days specially when you are moving abroad. We have to accept that and find ways to overcome these challenges 👍🏻 Next video is going to be a really nice daily vlog and we will give some of our self care tips while living abroad
@@HumTumInEngland but many of us British Asians suffer from mental health issues. The challenges in psychiatric hospitals in regard to our community is very great, but being hospitalised a few times has been the best for me personally. There is a lot of abuse in hospital but you get over it.
Really loved how you guys touched upon ' Mental Health'. This is my 3rd month here as a student and I can relate to all the facts such as missing family and friends, festivals, etc. But yes, it's all about staying motivated all the time because positive attitude is the only way to move forward. Thank you so much for making this video!! Much love :)
Thank you for sharing reality check for foreigners here in England. It's a very practical video. Keep great work guys.
Exactly this is the reality check so you know before you move to UK. 👍🏻😊
hi bro ..hum b try kr rhe hain uk aane ka main aur meri wife.......aapki videos bhut jada help krti hain.......50 to 70% knowledge to india baith k hi ho.gyi h.
THANK YOU SO MUCH..
Its amazing video and very well covered the content! Also the struggle in taking up the public transport when you don't have the car in the initial phase!! Superb guys! Keep on preparing such informative video's!
Thanks Pooja 😊
In India, we stayed in Bombay for 28 years. We never ever had a servant. We are settled in Hyderabad. For about 6 months, we had a servant only to wash vessels , sweep and mop the floor. For 3 works, we used to pay Rs. 1500. We realised that the servant doesn't come for a few days and we have become totally dependent. We decided that we employ no servant and get back to our earlier days of doing all the work. My wife, daughter and me do all the work without a servant. No more servants. Lesson learnt - Be self reliant.
You are right. Most people live in appt in Mumbai and cannot even clean a 3 or 4 rooms or cook for a family of 4. Believe its a kind of mentality issue. If you have a servant your status is higher than a family without one. People should stop this mentality. Obviously it will become a struggle when you move outside India.
You both are such a happy couple, so simple in explaining things with no such tam-jham, it feels like you are talking one-to-one with the viewer. At least I feel that way. I stumbled upon your channel as I was searching about info regarding UK and now I am hooked ONLY to your channel for every info. Both are absolutely charming. Keep it that way. All my happy hormones start working the way you folk smile or talk.
Completely agree with the mental health point. At some point, I thought I would stop everything here and leave the UK and go back to India and live a connected life. But, yeah, you guys explained it very well. Thank you.
It can be hard in the beginning but with time it will be alright 👍🏻
I thought I was the only one who is thinking to go back and live with family in India everyone is in same boat but can not accept .
Super bro apne to reality bta de h
Because hum logo ki expectations very high
Jo dream dekh kar aye tye uska apposite hai sub kuch
Yeah the every point you guys said is amazing the main thing that I learnt and realised from watching your video is the person needs to accept the changes and take it as a challenge especially for international students who are going to come for study like me
Yes challenges will be there in your life always but accept it and move on !!
Hamara job chaheha

All the struggle is real ..we were shocked at plumber prices once our bathroom was chocked...we got scammed by agent and lost our money but anyhow managed to live in 1 room for almost 1 yr which is not meant for family according to rule ..(its a long story) with my health issues and a child and husband to look after plus grocery runs was a add up for me ...btw ur garden and home is lovely ....🍃🍁🌾
Thanks for watching 🤗

We Indians have a very bad habit of breaking rules in every walk of life. For people who have the Chalta Hai attitude, it is a big lesson. For people who always follow rules, people who are self reliant, do not depend upon others for anything, such people can survive any where in the world. People with Self discipline, down to earth, modest, no ego and pride can manage anywhere.
In India also many people have mental health but I never heard there is anything like this in India as there is no recognition of this concept, and yes Costa coffee is damm good
I am sid from Mumbai and coming for sept intake in leeds....iv seen many videos and many youtubeers in uk who promotes uk but none have highlighted this point which u guys have done...amazing work...and yes iv already been to Bahrain country so i have exp of staying isolated ...

Hii, Avi pls Ek info do k waha beauty parlour k kya rates hote hai aur india me jaise beautician ghar pe aati hai uske rate kam hote kya aaise London me aisi facilitys hai,, thnx😍🍫❤️
You are extremely lucky that you have such a good life in India. Also you are really fortunate that these days you get street food here in England. That was never the case before. You just had one or two restaurants that was within one or two hours of your home. As of the past 20 years, life has really changed here. We have been flooded with immigrants which has made things more pleasant as well as more challenging also.
This video had many important points, tried to understand what I could. An English version would be nice :)
Will upload subtitles soon 👍🏻
