Adapt to a lifestyle, be thrifty, set a budget, save money, and make investments to live within your means. I benefited from this as a six-figure income. With this strategy, my retirement savings have increased by almost $1 million.

Minimalism totally changed the way I spend money. I really question the value of anything I am buying and whether I want this item in my house. There are many questions I ask myself and so impulse spending doesn't happen anymore. I love living a minimal life where I either love or need everything I own.

Our financial way of life absolutely needs to be blown up, but at the same time, people also need to be more responsible. I know for a fact that there's a lot of people that simply don't make enough money. I make roughly 100K a year and in California, rent prices alone eat up almost 3/4 of what I make.
Throw in dependents, and other financial obligations and it's easy to end up in the negative.

I am not living paycheck to paycheck but am feeling the squeeze from higher food, utilities & gasoline. I looked at my budget constantly & finally realized that I was paying too much for cable, internet & home phone & cell phones. It is a pain to have to renegotiate yearly but really saves money. I have really been spending a lot less discretionary income & creating revenue for more interest, Luckily for me my coach Frost Hilda has been using every opportunity to ensure I benefit from each turn the market trend takes. Best be prepared for what the future will be bring..

I use to be like this when I was younger, now I'm way better with money. I'm just not impressed with a lot of material items anymore. Having a budget and having patience is something I had to practice overtime.

@Camila Santos I can mention some that were beneficial to me.
      1. Make a plan for it.
      2. Be frugal and spend as little as possible (don't buy things you don't need).
      3. Put money aside for retirement (Roth IRA /401k).
      4. Create an emergency fund
      5. Save in order to invest. This is the most significant because it is a tried and true method of increasing one's wealth. Very essential in terms of financial success

    • @bashirauwal5825
      @bashirauwal5825 2 года назад

Don't buy property at the moment, take atleast a year to research and looking on various sites. Buying a home in London is like buying your own life 😂. Save money for atleast 2 to 3 years. If you already have a good deposit which is usually 5% of your property, it's around £20 to £30 for a property worth at least £320000. Don't rush into property especially if you are thinking of London. It's not just property but the other costs too. So get in touch with a good property dealer and then it will be easier. But not this year, around next year is a good time. By the way I live in London with my family. Good luck.

    • @HumTumInEngland

usually depends on credit score, affordability and your visa status.. several factors but general rate could be 2-3% these days

Interest rates in the UK are dependent on the Bank of England's base rate. As the base rate increases the rates will go up. Something which we are experiencing in the UK now.

I had recently purchased the house after landing in the UK in 6 months, I paid 20%, there is no government scheme helped because i.e. only applicable for 1st-time buyer and the 1st time buyer major condition is that you will never own any house in the world 😞 but yeah it was great to have a house and paying the mortgage for our own house 🙂. one more thing wants to add if someone is with a family and willing to purchase the house then please consider your house which comes in the area near to grammar school because as per law you need to be in a nearby area (around 10 miles) of a grammar school for 2 years minimum to be eligible.
One pro tip - if you go to the builder with the approval of your mortgage principal - they lose this option of giving their mortgage advisor because even mainstream banks like Barclays, HSBC, and many more also help first-time buyers.

@Rupinderjit Singh It all depends upon how much you are earning at the moment as well, since my wife and I both were having good salary according to the bank, so bank helped us and that too, we are on skilled worker visa for another 5 years because I am already paying around 2300 GBP per month in rent and also have car lease, so it helped me, I took the car in just 15 days after landing in the UK. Yes it was Halifax only for 1 year and then will switch to HSBC or Barclay as I have a premier account in both. So in nutshell it all depends upon your profile and there is one special tip that - choose some advisor who can help in searching manual entry of credit score rather from the system, although we both have good credit score there is another condition that you need to fulfill that your current location tenure, so just after 1 year HSBC is very easily able to give. There are some financial advisors who help only for tier 2 visa people, so google it you will find many more.

Hi Mukund, so if you already own a house anywhere in the world (I have one in India) then it means you are not eligible for this "Help to Buy" benefit from government, right? In that case, we need min 20% as deposit if we wish to buy house anywhere in the UK.

@@sandeshsalkade2500 Yes so ideally you need 10% but if you have less than 1 year of stay and your salary is lesser than what the bank feels in that case yes you need to pay 20% of the deposit and additionally also you need to pay stamp duty as well since you are not qualified as a first-time buyer.
