Hello, appreciate this series as its gonna be really helpful for me! I am in the same process currently. Since this was an old house you viewed, did you consider the EPC rating council tax of the house before viewing? Also whats your view on buying a property if it needs a lot of renovation on carpet and interiors?
Yes we consider EPC rating but as this house was fairly new built in 2020 so it was energy efficient with good EPC rating.. we don't consider buying a house that needs a lot of renovation as it requires time, efforts and while you are doing renovation either you'll be paying rent somewhere plus mortgage or mortgage for this new house and your old house too.. unless you can stay in the same house while you are renovating it..
Hello Gaurav. I am looking forward to buy a new build home in the UK. Just wondering to know where have you bought your new home and which development you have chosen? I am living in Cambridgeshire and I have chosen a new development in Littleport.
Thanks for the information it's helpful, we are also looking for buy houses as a first time buyers its very complicated process i feel, but if you have any idea how we can safely transfer money from India to UK for the deposit please try to provide detailed information about it, it really helps, thank you. Good luck for your new house search.
Have a meeting with a financial advisor.. you can find financial advisor at any of the local estate agents.. they have the right tools to check the exact affordability.. or you can just good mortgage affordability check.. and once you find that then start looking for houses on rightmove or zoopla.. check our detailed video on this ruclips.net/video/kV_X7D09cTY/видео.htmlsi=ySox8h1msUhlv6Lz
Looks like a really good house, 1356sqft is quite generous by UK Standards. How much would be the property tax you'll have to pay as it will be your second property in the UK? Will you guys be selling your current house or renting it out? We bought our first house - 4 bed detached early this year in Oadby, Leicester - Reasons for the location - good schools including a Grammar school, good amenities nearby including supermarkets, cafes with really good Indian food joints. Train takes 1hr5mins to London St Pancras, Birmingham is less than 1 hr drive, Bicester village is 1hr15mins. Hope you guys get your dream home soon :)
The things that could make it harder to sell a leasehold property, apart from a short lease, could include- Unfair service charges, ground rents or fees on your property.
Hi.. do you guys have any idea about asbestos roof being used in old houses in UK? Our friend is in process of buying a house n they did survey which shows potential use of asbestos in roof..they are highly confused now..can you please throw some light on this? 😊
@@prachisaraswat5779 it depends on lot of factors . The area u live is a major factor . We live in south east of London area and cost is very high . We were quoted around 2.5k to remove the asbestos and new ceiling just plasterboard was 2 k. The total area was 1600sqft
@@HumTumInEngland best wishes. We are also buying our first house now. Since it has been only 18 months in UK for us, mortgage options are limited for us.
Hi Gaurav and Avi, This is very informative. Thank you for shooting it. I was wondering if you guys have any email where I can ask your suggestions related to House buying based on the visa I currently hold. I just need some advice based on my condition here in UK. If you could share then will get in touch. Thanks.
Not 100% sure but as far as we know whichever will be your tax residency yes you would have to pay tax there if you are earning profit yearly even if its in UK.. or pay tax in UK.. better to consult with tax consultant
I am not sure what's the reality of UK, due to some community is taking charge of UK. I have heard people are returning back to India due to these disturbances in UK , don't you guys wait for awhile before buying a new property. Rest is up to you all. My good wishes are with you both.
Pathetic comment to make openly. This is UK & they both are British Citizens now. You are telling them to reconsider their house buying decision on the basis of Your hatred view towards one religion. Shame on You.
LITERALLY PUMPED UP AND THRILLED TO HAVE A LOOK OF YOUR NEW HAPPY PLACE AND ASLO THE HOUSE TOUR

You should also do a level 3 survey before buying a old house, as it gives details about structure and overall status of the house
Thanks for the headsup mate!

Old house jada strong hai ajj ke ghar se mere father in law kehte hai wo 60 65 years ho gai hai unhe UK mein rehte huye.
it might be strong but not very efficient and not in a newer communities for today's generation in our opinion but yeah it has pros and cons

Why did you mention that leasehold properties are difficult to sell? Can you explain the reasons?
The things that could make it harder to sell a leasehold property, apart from a short lease, could include- Unfair service charges, ground rents or fees on your property.
Hello we are also looking for house in uk…what all platforms you check for houses apart from rightmove and zoopla?
these two mostly and estate agents own websites
Really … freeze dried instant coffee?
which estate is this guys? I think GP Practice & hospital should not be far off specially when you guys have kids

We wouldn't buy that house.. buy only when you are 100% happy with a house and all the surveys are positive.
U can buy the house and remove the ceiling . There specific companies who do this work . Our house had Asbestoes we got the ceiling replaced
@@Deejay82-13 thanks for the reply..can you please tell approximately how much does it cost to replace a roof? its a 3 bedroom house..
@@HumTumInEngland yeah..have read about it and if the gov. has banned it since 1999 there must be something really wrong with this material :(

If we buy and later rent out the property, and return to India, are we liable to pay tax on rental income from UK property to Indian govt?
