0:25 Yeah it took me an hour to full download all the custom weapons, I've noticed a lot of them aren't that great but it's all the customer gets since most of the TF2 weapons are not here. I for sure like the artillery gun since it puts heavy on the same playing field as soldier and demoman, I can shoot around corners now. The one thing that bugs me is that most custome weapons haven't been implemented into the proper servers so most of the classes are stuck with Stock weapons for the most part. 1:55 the Drunkard's Wrath is probably my favorite weapon design for demoman What I like the most about custom weapons is how they reload.
You can actually recreate most of the weapons from normal TF2 pretty accurately. Sure, stuff like head counters (Eyelander, Bazaar Bargain), meters (Heatmaker, Baby Face), and unique complexities (Wrangler, Short Circuit, Dead Ringer, Red Tape) can't be recreated, but you can pretty much get the majority of the weapons through various attributes. Why a lot of custom weapons servers don't port more regular TF2 weapons is beyond me, but stuff like Jarate, the Thermal Thruster, the Dragon's Fury, and the Loose Cannon have all been successfully ported in custom weapon packs on Gamebanana with minimal differences.

Problem is that, in a lot of these servers or packs on gamebanana, a lot of people tend to make custom weapons that are just an existing live TF2 weapon but with extra steps/pushed to an extreme. Like a Rocket Launcher that heals you on kill but also regains ammo on kill and comes with a bunch of unneeded upsides and downsides which is just a more complicated Black Box. Or a Minigun that is a silent rev, very accurate, but shoots extremely slow being a more extreme version of the Tomislav. If you're gonna go through all the effort to port models and sometimes even make custom animations, why are you just gonna make more exaggerated or complicated versions of weapons you can very easily just recreate, and make something more original?
btw, i recommend using the pyro's Bone Buster melee it deals a LUDICROUS amount of damage at the cost of needing to recharge once you smack someone with it
6:38 I really like that sniper gunslinger kind of primary for going the rifle for a mid to long range option maybe it could do mini on headshot like the shotgun. I just like to see it in vanilla. It looks like such a fun play style
