WOWWW!!! THIS IS AWESOME!!! I LOVE HOMESCHOOL!!!
Most western europeans see everything east from the former iron curtain as eastern europe
And that is pissing off many Central Europeans
Because that IS eastern europe
@@deusvult1995 France is Africa and middle East
@@matthew5556
Yes, france germany sweden are nowadays all the middle east and africa
@@deusvult1995 Ignoring the fact that most of it is right in the centre of the continent.
Poland and Czechia is central Europe.

Krakow would be interesting.
Geographicaly Poland, Slovakia, Czechia are central Europe, nur mentality is eastern.
What's eastern about our mentality?
Thousand years of history can not erase previous thousnad years of history. Culture and mentality of Poland, Slovakia, Czechia and Hungary are of course clearly western.
@@amatuspragensis6106 I hope you’re joking haha
@@dacian_1346 Czechia was part of Austrian empire for 400 years. Communist party was leading Czechia for 40 years. I guess the West (Austria being considered "West" in their mentality) had more influence on Czechs than the "East". These are just basic facts (that you are obviously not aware of).
@@slouberiee still means nothing, Eastern Europe is not communism. Greece is in Eastern Europe too but it was never a communist country. I’m from Transylvania, we’re culturally Central European but we’re still part of Eastern Europe.
Half is central europe ...
@Nick name they are Slavic so they are Eastern
ᛁᛜᚦᚨᚱ ᚷᚢᛊᛏᛟᚦ ahh you are such an asshole!🤬
Bro all these countries including me from slovakia are slavic languages we are Eastetn broski cyka blyat
ᛁᛜᚦᚨᚱ ᚷᚢᛊᛏᛟᚦ How does language determine a geographical location?
I dont understand what is so bad about being part of Eastern Europe? I always though my country Romania is East European, why others avoid this considering it Central Europe.
Red and blue states still exist in Europe after the cold War.
If you know what I mean.
No, I don't. Could you please explain?
@lonelyplanet Especially the Czech Republic is not Eastern Europe! (Geographically, historically and politically).
The almost whole country is geographically more on the western side than the location of Vienna.
Bohemian kingdom (today the Czech Republic) has been more than 1000 years both politically and culturally connected with France, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria ..., historically we have never been connected to Eastern Europe except for 41 years of oppression of communism.
Therefore, I'll be glad that this "Eastern" stereotype about Central European countries will end. Unfortunately, these videos don't help to it.
@Rob Smith :))
The demarcation line defining "Eastern" Europe was only a political deal, which was valid for 41 years of Soviet repression.
For Czechs, Europe looked like for hundreds of years like this:
shorturl.at/gvBS4
Czech (Bohemian) kingdom was joined to the Holy Roman Empire from 11. century. (Czechs even ruled the Empire from 1346-1437.)
The Czech language is western Slavic and I don't say that Czechs are not Slavs. I only say that is stupid to call Czechs as eastern Europe due to 40 years of political games after WW2, although the reality is for thousand years different.
Btw. when you mention genetics...
Genetically are Czechs Slavics only from 35%. The other 35% is Germanic and Celtics origin.
@@Paulie8837 I am not sure, if someone who have such low mental ability, that he even cannot properly write English comment (what the hell is "easz euro"?!!) is worthy to answer. Yes I know, we all must combat stupidity and ignorance no matter how mighty and inconquerable they seem.
My DNA test brought me here I am curious about Eastern Europe my DNA test says I am 3.7% Eastern European just really curious
Go and look for your roots. Thank me later.
That 3.7% is less than a hair on your head,we dont want you here
There are 20+ countries in "Eastern Europe" with different cultures, languages, traditions and history. The DNA test isn't very specific, is it?
Czech republic, Poland or Slovakia ARE NOT EASTERN EUROPE!
Everything that was behind the iron curtain is considered Eastern Europe
Poland is idiot
@@dad7493 nah it's central
You should learn geography! Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland is in Central Europe
Deus Vult en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Central_Europe
Deus Vult I thought, that Slovaks hate Russia, because they ocuppied them.
It's not about geography, it's about the division of Europe during the Cold War. If the country was Nato, it's Western, and if it was part of the Warsaw Pact, it's Eastern
You're kidding, since when ?
Try Austria, Switzerland etc..
This feels like a never-ending story: Czech Republic and its capital Prague are located in CENTRAL Europe, NOT in Eastern Europe. Four decades of the socialist/communist regime couldn't change a fact that has been legitimate for over a thousand years! Czech Republic's location is almost identical to that of Austria (only a bit more to the north) and Prague is located approx. 200km more western than Vienna! Both countries should be called Central European, yet to most Americans a many West Europeans is Austria "western" and Czech Republic "eastern". That regime you're referring to ended 30 years ago! Czech Republic is a highly developed, stable and safe country and its economy is in much better shape than that of most South European countries that are called "western" for some reason. Czechs have much stronger geographical, historical, cultural and economical ties to Austria and Germany, rather than to Eastern European countries like Romania or Bulgaria.
Ignorance and stupidity are seemingly inconquerable. But it is just one more reason to combat them relentlessly.
here because of canvas activity bwhahahaha
I would classify Czechia, Slovakia and Hungary as Central Europe.
I would absolutely not
Whatever was once behind the iron curtain is considered east europe
Yes @@dad7493
Might I suggest that lots of Americans might benefit from the Gates Foundation subsidizing their emmigration, he does not only cater for super heroes.

Russia most high up
Rather embarrassing for Lonely Planet to classify central european countries as eastern Europe. Thumbs down.
russia isnt eastern europe
Eastern Europe- Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Romania, Lithuania, Estonia, Latvia.
@@matthew5556 no. There is central europe, the baltic states and russia. Its so big its an own category that goes even in asia
@@robert4598 Central Europe- Poland, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Austria
You are extremely stupid
You obviously have NO brain. Read European history and you'll find out how much EUROPEAN Russia is even before the time of the czars, you idiot!
