    Detailed Video Timeline/Windshield Repair Procedure:
    0:05 - Introduction
    0:19 - Step 1 - Examine the Break and Prep the Glass. Ideal glass temp should be 35*F to 85*F. Test break stability by applying a small amount of pressure with blunt probe around break.
    1:03 - Step 2a - Clean loose debris from break with probe point. If impact point can’t be felt, drill to create an opening. Many breaks will not need to be drilled.
    1:23 - Step 2b - Drill the break if necessary to create an opening
    2:38 - Step 2c - Attach Inspection Mirror to the inside of the windshield
    3:02 - Step 3 - Back out bridge adjusting screws & injector. Place the Bridge & Injector on glass. Ideally injector is below suction cup.
    4:24 - Step 4 - Position Injector over center of break. Thread injector down until it makes contact with glass, then add 1-2 additional turns.
    5:00 - Step 5 - Use mirror to adjust horizontal alignment, ensuring good seal on the break. Adjust leveling screws until o-ring seal is evenly compressed.
    5:14 - Step 6 - Apply HV resin to the Brown Plunger Seals at base of plunger to lubricate.
    5:39 - Step 7 - Apply 5 drops of Diamond Clear™ Resin into the injector body. Check GT Tools® Catalog for proper resin choice based on ambient air temperature.
    6:14 - Step 9 - Pull the Blue Release Pin knob on the side of the injector body and insert the plunger into the injector body. Release the pin, twisting until the pin slips into the plunger groove.
    6:37 - Step 10 - Vaccum Cycle: Open Air Release Knob, Bottom out plunger, Close Air Release, slowly pull plunger up and twist to lock in vacuum. Wait 1 Minute.
    7:07 - Step 11 - Pressure Cycle: Open and Close Air Release, twist plunger, depress until there is fair resistance, twist plunger to lock into desired pressure slot. Wait 2 Minutes.
    7:44 - Step 12 - Alternate between cycles of step 10 (Vacuum: 1 min) and Step 11 (Pressure: 2 min) until break is completely filled.
    8:48 - Step 13 - During Final Pressure Cycle: Attach UV Lamp to glass next to injector tip. Plug in & Turn on for curing cycle. Wait 2 minutes. Move light to opposite side. Wait 2 minutes.
    9:43 - Step 14 - Open Air Release, Remove suction cup, Apply small bead of PF above the pit on glass. Cover bead with Pit Square.
    10:56 - Step 15 - Move UV Lamp Over Pit Square. Turn on for curing cycle. Wait 3 minutes.
    11:24 - Step 16 - Remove UV Lamp & Pit Square. Scrape clean razor blade (held perpendicular to glass) vigorously back & forth until only a small circle of pit filler remains.
    12:13 - Step 17 - Apply small bead of Pit Gloss to the pit. Polish with paper towel or cork until glossy finish achieved.
    12:50 - Step 18 - Clean the glass. Clean ALL injector components with isopropyl alcohol at the end of each day. DONE!

    One of the simplest systems with both vacuum and pressure. I love it.

    You should make a small heat gun to use on the inside of the glass during the pressure stage to slightly/ safely heat the resin, which makes it less viscous, I've found it provides a much better injection of the resin, I use a small torch, which can be dangerous for various reasons.

    Can you modulate the pressure using the thumb screw without being forced to use the two pressure settings?

    • @gtglass
      @gtglass  2 года назад

      Good Morning! Yes you can definitely achieve different pressure values outside of the set speedlock pressure settings by opening the air release valve on the top and modulating pressure that way. Most users don't need to but we kept this function for those technicians that really like to dial in their pressure.

    I think this is just a copy of the Rock Star from equalizer.

    • @gtglass
      @gtglass  6 лет назад +3

      Morning Gilberto, GT Tools (Glass Technology) originally designed the Rock Star for Equalizer. This is a much-improved product from our original SuperStar/RockStar design. Greater Vacuum and pressure capabilities along with a simple locking design.

    The problem with this injector is that it has "pre"-set pressure cycle locks. I don't want any tool telling me how much pressure I HAVE to put on the break, and jesus, you have to dang near push the plunger all the way down to get to the locking screw. Terrible design. I do like the speedlock option, but the pressure cycle is a deal breaker in my opinion.
