    styling wise, i didn't think infiniti could do better than the g37 coupe which was gorgeous. i was wrong. the q60 is absolutely stunning. especially in person.

    I own this car, silver 3.0t. I'm in the casino business and work with a lot of Mercedes, Audi, BMW etc..owners. they've all drooled over it, and are looking at Infiniti now

      Do you have adaptive steering and if so, do you like it?

    • @JP-wm1cc

      Justin Dufrene - Do you live in a hot country?
      The reason I am asking is because I use to own G37 coupe but the from panel interior would crack due to the sun and heat.
      The weather can get up to 91 degrees here.

    This is an amazing looking car. I have to disagree with those who are saying that the interior is not up to the competition. Look at Mercedes C class for an example. They just put a gigantic tablet in the middle. Every car has its goods and bads. and I believe this car has more goods than bad. Well done Infiniti. oh and also great review. You sir definitely deserve more views and subscribers.

      PN&SP: I agree wholeheartedly that all cars have trade-offs, and people should get what THEY find important. I don't understand why so many people spend a lot of time and energy hating on each other over whether (for example) BMW this is better than Infiniti that, or whether comfort/reliability is better than performance.
      The cars are different, have different prices and performance points.
      Frankly, I like to get a car a few years off lease with low miles, and let the previous owner eat half the price of the car in depreciation.
      In my experience, as long as there is a long powertrain warranty, I get about all the benefit, "suffering" only, say, a few paint chips. I've had friends assume such cars I bought were new (these aren't car geeks, just ordinary folks, of course).
      But each to their own. To me, a Mercedes (aside from the AMG or super expensive performance end) is about interior comfort and driving comfort and looks, and not performance.

    It's a shame Infiniti dropped the G branding. That car had a great reputation especially with there incredible run from 2003-2010. The car always was priced way below the competitiors with a MASSIVE horsepower advantage. Looks like they are finally coming back to there glory days.

      Looks like you went for the "red pill".
      In your wonderland, NOT staying with the "G" design language is a GOOD thing.
      Had you chosen the "blue pill" you would see that this is not true.

    Really great review, I have always appreciated your work! I am with you about the electric steering, I didn't find it to be that bad and I appreciated the driving dynamics that they pulled off with it. The Q60 appears to be a car that I could see myself in very soon.

      Three years ago I picked up a Q50s, (the newer, redesigned Q60 was not out yet). Don't get me wrong, I have really enjoyed my Q50, but I very much look forward to picking up my new Q60 within the next 6-9 months. I've simply always felt two door coupes handled better on turns, and are 3 or 4 times better looking than four door sedans.

    400hp model is a great bang for the buck compared to S5 and 435i. I'd get the sedan for practicality, though.

    Beautiful machine. Engineers really hit this one out of the park. Great job folks! :) One of our neighbors has one and I must say I can't help but admire the design/lines on this machine. I am afraid I'll get caught staring and she'll think I am checking her out instead of the car! lol! That said, I feel from my personal experience/observations that some people are influenced/driven by how other people view them.
    As most people would agree. People may go for the name versus the deal. If their wallets are big enough that is. :) Names like Mercedes Benz, Rolls Royce, BMW etc may charge more than Infinity even though they may offer less tech/flash for the buck. However as I am sure most would agree it's the name/brand that they are also selling you. It's the privilege of owning a Mercedes Benz or BMW that they are charging for on top of the luxury/tech.
    Personally, I am not quite at the point of my life yet where I can invest $40K - $65K on a car no matter the brand/tech. When I get there, the folks at Infiniti sure will make it hard to choose. :) I've always admired Mercedes Benz cars. I've always felt these machines were synonymous with wealth/status, financial freedom. Some may disagree and feel the higher brand name cars are such as Rolls Royce, Bentley etc..give off that proverbial vibe. But hey, to each his/her own right? :)

The 1st thing I hear is “what kind of car is that, That’s Nice” I’ve always been the type of Person that admire and compliment cars or etc. if something that’s nice however I’ve always wanted to have something Nice but different. Something Everyone did not have. Having the Q60 was a perfect choice for me. I Love My Q60 ❤️💋

    I'm looking to lease a new car and the 400hp for $50-55k USD is definitely a draw to Infiniti, in my eyes anyway. I'm comparing it to the A4, C300/43 amg, and the 340i. I've driven all but the amg and the Infiniti. I've seen a couple of red sports on the road and they catch my eye as much as any c class. I've watched review after review and I'm anxious to check one out. Everyone who I've ever known with a Nissan/Infiniti hasn't complained of any issues , and I can't say the same for Mercedes ownership although incredible cars. Anyway ,, excellent review Zack !

    Stunning exterior. Personally, I think the interior is just okay...I don't like that the top screen has much better graphics than the bottom. I think Infinity should scrap the dual screen model and just build one large, crisp screen. I'm surprised that you like Steer-by-wire. I drove a Q50 with that option and it felt totally devoid of feel to me. Personally, I think putting that system on a sports sedan sorta defeats the purpose of driving a sports sedan. A sporty drive includes great steering feel, but that feature is totally lacking in my opinion. Other than those quibbles, I think it's a great car. Hopefully some of the design features (such as the headlights and full LED integrated turn signals), will migrate to the sedan version.

    Great review. I agree car looks great. I was disappointed when I decided I was going to buy a Q50, Consumer Reports rated it bad. The engine was good, but not much else. Every magazine or reviewer hated the steering so I decided against getting one. Need AWD where I live and have two kids so 4 door is a must right now.

      Cornelius: Unless you track the car, what possible difference can it make.?
      Yeah, to merge or pass, the acceleration of a car like this is wonderful compared to the GLACIAL acceleration of, say, a Corolla. (Disclosure, I have a 2013 G37, but the principle is the same).
      However, unless you want to lose your license or maybe get jailed, or even kill someone, where in the US public road system would you conceive of going well over 100 mph?

      T. Bigums
      I know Infiniti change the name from a G to Q and how is it stupid? I have a valid point, why spend all the money promoting a new name when the G name is already establish with a huge followers.
      And just in case you are to Stupid to know the G35 is call the Skyline GT350 in Japan.

    • @rogergeyer9851
      @rogergeyer9851 8 лет назад

      T. Bigums: I hear you. When I wanted a sporty fun car for weekends, I first looked for the Infiniti G series, because I always wanted one but never wanted to spend the money while I was working.
      When I saw they were gone, I almost skipped Infiniti altogether, not realizing they'd just renamed things, and not liking the prices of the Q50 new.
      To me that was stupid. I guess with the internet, people who actually care can figure things out, but throwing away that whole line of tradition and quality and car fan devotion seems like madness.

    This should be like the time when the G35 coupe came out back in 2003. If at 2016/2017 a Q60 top line is at 400 hp, ..it should put out something like a 3.5 lt. tt at 450-470 hp, ..400/450 tq within 1-3 yrs. (depending on sales I suppose). Then eventually a 3.7 lt. tt (@ 500+ hp. within 5-10 yrs). For now, I'm still happy with my G37X coupe (had it for 3 yrs. now), always have the option for FI and Tuner incase...

    • @rogergeyer9851
      @rogergeyer9851 8 лет назад

      Unless you're going to track the car, does it really matter much? I have a G37X too, and enjoy the car, especially the performance. I love accelerating to 60 quickly on county roads, but after that quick burst, that power just burns gas.
      In fact, on similar roads, after the rather glacial pace to get to 60 mph, my daily driver 2015 Corolla is often more comfortable and handles the turns, etc. just about as well, as long as it's dry.

    Drove the 2.0t RWD for a day. Nice car for the price but engine and engine sound was not sporty enough. I also didn't like the totally new fully electric steering which changes the feedback quite often and suddenly while driving. You don't feel the street at all. Power is enough but you expect sth way more sporty with that design and don't wanna lose against a 2.0l BMW diesel family car, which you will. I would like to drive the 405hp version without electric steering if available.

      no, luxury cars tend not to have those. Those are really made for lower end cars, as it doesn't add to the premium feel a luxury is supposed to have. having Apple or Android play would only blur the lines. Don't expect it anytime soon.

      Couldn't be further off luxury cars already do and/or are adding Apple CarPlay in the 2017 models... Audi, BMW, Ferrari,Mercedes Bentley, Porsche.

      Jacob Robert Gray the infiniti brand is indeed in the category of luxury. Whether you like it or not is a different story. So you're wrong there, sorry.
      As for car play being added to the above stated brands, did you fact check at all? Because before I go any further, I'd like to know if you're just one of those guys who will argue just for the sake of arguing, thus, being a waste of time. If you did indeed fact check, please enlighten me on your sources. Because I will correct you

      lol I think you're looking for an argument bud I never said Infiniti wasn't a luxury car brand I actually like them. Spent 25 seconds on apple.com is that good enough for you?

    • @HodsBroo

      how is it underpowered if the q60 has roughly the same 0 to 60 time and just 15 or so more torque and 6 HP less. (the equivalent q60). lexus has a smoother ride, more refined luxury, more reliable, holds its price better and has superb customer service.

    • @SlowWhip
      @SlowWhip 8 лет назад +1

      This car would shit on a RC350 F-Sport. Twin-turbo v6 with 300hp, more torque, and it's lighter. RC350 F-Sport is supposed to go against Q60 Red Sport but it doesn't have the power. BMW 340i/440i, Infiniti Q50/60 Red Sport, Mercedes c450amg, and Audi S4/S5 are the way to go. Lexus IS350 F-Sport or RC350 F-Sport performance is garbage.

    • @HodsBroo
      @HodsBroo 8 лет назад

      RC350 F Sport is definitely not suppose to go up against the red sport. Despite the RC F being heavy af, it will shit on the red sport. Not to mention it's way more reliable than any car in its class.

    • @SlowWhip
      @SlowWhip 8 лет назад +4

      You need to learn more about these cars. RC-F go against M4, RS5, and C63AMG coupe. Infiniti doesn't have a car to compete against these four. Q60 Red Sport go against the new BMW 440i Msport, Mercedes C450 amg-sport which is going to be C43 amg for 2017, the Audi S4, and Lexus RC350 F-Sport. Lexus is underpowered because they did not upgrade their engines, they're still using the same 3.5L v6.

    • @HodsBroo
      @HodsBroo 8 лет назад

      Ok fair enough. Until Infiniti has a car to compete with m4, rc f, c63, we can't compare them. Lexus does need to update it's V6 engine line up. But my point was if you compare RC 350 F Sport vs Infiniti Q60 3.0t (300hp), the lexus in my opinion is a much better car. As for red sport, it won't be fair to compare it to the RC 350 until it updates it's engines. I'll admit that.

  • @jamesgonzales4224
    @jamesgonzales4224 5 лет назад +3

    3:49 "you cant just upgrade this engine to get 400hp" 😂 my 2017 non red sport 3.0t begs to differ. I have 440hp to the wheels. That's almost 500hp coming from the engine. Tell me again how you can't upgrade this engine to get 400hp?

    the worst thing about infiniti today is the name changes. it's really messing ppl up that wouldn't otherwise look at the company. . go back to actual names instead of letters and numbers and I think people would gravitate towards them more. btw I love them g35 owner myself but I'm speaking for the general population

    I hate it when designers create beautiful car with stunning front-end, and sleek grille then the license plate bracket is there to ruin it all. Terrible location for it as it covers like the bottom part of it.. darn.

    The only thing that throws me off on the styling is how that logo in the bumper has kind of a black plaque behind it. If it were just stuck directly on the grill that would look better to me.

    • @potentialise

      A lot of companies are using the logos to hide their safety systems. I suspect there's a radar system or camera behind that plaque.

    While its no where close to the cadillac ATS coupe, BMW 4 Coupe, or Lexus RC in terms of interior materials, build quality, or Luxury you will pay more for those cars and it looks almost as good. Edit: at 62K+ the Cadillac ATS-V and Lexus RCF are better options but still, good job infiniti.

    • @ssjMaximum22Goku

      The RC-F has been a problematic car for Lexus so far and the Cadillac is still a Chevy, no matter how you put it. A better car from Lexus would be the GS-F since the V8 works much nicer with vehicles configuration. The Q60 is a great car in terms of its interior and exterior design and quality.

    • @NhatHuyNg

      ssjMaximum22Goku cadillac (other than the escalade, XTS is getting killed off) uses all unique platforms, as well as suspensions, and interior architecture / materials.your chevy comment makes no sense. also its important to note the majority of audi products are from VWs.
