- Day 3 is here, which tuned out to be our favorite trail of the trip! We started this day off in the heart of the desert, with the goal of getting to the original Death Valley Trail (Lippincott Pass). You say that you don't see the nudists in Idaho, yet when I took my wife and in-laws to go swimming in the middle fork of the Payette, we walked over the bank to find a couple out for a little joyride in the river. We wished them well and went upon our way. Naked is the best way to experience nature and the outdoors, imho....within certain limits of decency, of course. 🙂
My guess is the ICON shock was to short. When going into the desert bring more water than you think you will need, then double it.

Loved that you brought your mountain bikes with 🤟. Noticed they were absolutely covered in dust. Could your ride them without completely cleaning them and then re-oiling them?

Fun trip, I'd like to do a similar but less ambitious adventure in my GX at some point.
