  • It is finally here! We headed out on a 4 day trip to Colorado for some of the most beautiful offroading/overlanding trails around. We brought our Toyota Tundra, Chevy Colorado, and our Toyota Tacoma showing how each perform and showing off this beautiful scenery. Stay tuned for our part 2!

    I got your rear bumper on 2007 4Runner. It was expensive but I have yet to see anything as good for 4th gen. You even put a small but adequate joint shelves on sides. When I am at camp I roll 3-5 joints, place them on shelves and I am never looking for my joints when the time comes they are their. Pay attention to wind to determine if storage of joints should be on passenger or driver side.

    The only bad thing about Ouray is the lack of lung capacity. The people, scenery, air, experiences are INCREDIBLE! I got altitude sickness(I live in flat ass South East Texas, which I LOVE TEXAS!). If you plan on going to Ouray and live in a at sea level place like myself. I recommend an altitude mask and cardio training several months before your travels. Or, go to the foothills for a week before going. Out of the seven of us in our party. Three got altitude sickness. Safe travels and PACK IN/PACK OUT!

    Great video! Brings back memories. Was in Ouray/Telluride July '21 And took Engineer pass from Lake City to the top and had a thunderstorm with lightening coming out of the clouds were were standing in. Had been raining all day on the Ouray side and a Ranger said conditions were sketchy and visibility was poor. Went back to Lake City and took pavement to Ouray next day. Took Imogene from Ouray to Telluride. Want to get back and explore more trails.

    • @CBIOFFROADFAB

      The storms can come in quick there and can be sketchy for sure. We had a few rock chips one year from smaller rocks that were coming down due to a hard rain storm. Its a beautiful area though and our favorite to visit.

    • @CBIOFFROADFAB
      @CBIOFFROADFAB  2 года назад +2

      @@Trice4305 The ZR2 duramax significantly outperformed both the Tacoma and Tundra. The Tacoma specifically has been re-geared and tuned to help with performance and fuel economy. The ZR2 averaged on the trip down between 18-20. Keep in mind we pulled a trailer for half the way on the trip down as well. On the trip back we were about the same. On a recent trip to CA we averaged 22mpg's on the freeway. In town driving has been a little hard to pin point with how the truck has been used recently but I would say its around 18. On our Tacoma and Tundra we are lucky to get above 10 mpg's in town and above 14 on the highway.

      @@ii1825 For this trip we went in late July. You could go in early July as well. One of my most favorite trips to Ouray was the first of July after Imogene had just opened on a heavy snow year. It was incredible the amount of snow still on the trails and was a lot of fun driving through huge snow tunnels.
