It isn’t easy. You’re right!! It takes more concentration than I’d have thought. lol. Yes my pops. I’ve been a life long Sleeping Beauty fan and these are the new ones for the 65th anniversary!
When I first started spinning I really wanted to spin singles- and it was pretty hard! Now a couple years in and my singles are so thin that they’d be laceweight singles, which isn’t what I’d use most, so I ply them. But I’d like to go back to trying for a fingering-weight single, and having that desired ply twist goal in mind will be very helpful! How do you usually finish your singles yarn?
Hi Sara, I hope you're OK xx ❣️❣️❣️❣️ Thankyou so much for sharing this video podcast. I have a question, I have 2 Spin Control Cards. One I got with my Wheel ( eWheel 6) which shows the Z going Clockwise and another one that I bought separately which has the Z going anti Clockwise. Why is there a conflict in the direction of twist???? I didn't realise until I was checking against the one you have. I do spin both the Drop Spindles and my eWheel in the Z and Ply S . Just wondered why there is a difference between the 2 control cards I hope you've had a Wonderful Weekend. 🌞🌟✨️ Happy Spinning Fibre Friend 🎡🐑🥰 Take care and stay safe Love and hugs Jen xxxx ❤️❤️❤️❤️🫂🫂🫂🫂🫂🐈⬛
I’m not sure why there is a discrepancy. Here is how I remember twist. Follow the slant of the letter. The Z twist slants to the right, because you’re spinning to the right, or clockwise. The S twist slants to the left, because you’re spinning to the left or anti clockwise. The letter z leans right and the letter s leans left. HTH!
Thank you! I have just never heard anyone explain why, this was very helpful❤
Glad you found it helpful Teresa!! Thanks for watching!
That is a very important topic, all tips are welcome, spinning singles is not easy! I love your pop dolls collection, by the way ❤❤❤😊!

The same way I finish all my yarns. Cool water soak with some wool wash then spin dryer wrings it out. I hang it, NO WEIGHTS, and allow to air dry.
