Also note that I did this video too early this month, and as I was uploading it I saw that Ungfell dropped their new album. Definitely go listen to Ungfell - De Ghörnt as well. Even though I have only listened once so far, it would have placed very high on this list!
The problem with doing this too early was that I was sure to miss a couple albums. Immediately after recording this I saw that Ungfell dropped a new album. Definitely go give it a listen as well - highly recommended! It would have placed high on this list for sure
The new Ungfell is soooooo good. They can do no wrong in my book.
@@FathomlessDepths76 Its so killer! They did a pretty terrible job at promoting the release date though haha...I thought it was coming out next year. But all the better to hear it now, love everything they have done and this is no exception
It’s GREAT!
Thanks for the support guys !!!
Greetings from Athens!!!
Cheers from Canada! Loving your album!!
Gotta love that morningrise shirt
Fellowship what a breath of fresh air to the power metal genre 9/10 album for me 🔥🔥🔥
Greece is the epicenter of heavy metal. Unbelievable quantity and quality coming out of there. Great month!
Cheers! Ya Greece has an insane amount of killer bands!
Thanks for the tips, many interesting albums to check out 👍
Cheers!
Thy Catafalque
Panzerfaust
Yoth Iria
Opeth
Hey dude. Thanks for the shout out. It was really important to us to not have that "7" gimmick interfere with the song-writing and pacing. We really wanted the songs to have a natural flow despite all of the unusual sounds and layers, so thanks for touching on that.
Hey no problem at all! You guys really pulled off the concept without it affecting the flow of the songs. I am really enjoying the album. Cheers dudes!
You should definitely check out Thyrathen - Lakonic. It's right up your alley (I came here expecting to see it in your top 5 or something).
Thanks for the recs!
Cheers! and thanks for the recommendation, I am not familiar with that one. Will check it out!
Just checked this one out. It's pretty good!
Update - just listened to Thyrathen this afternoon and ya it is definitely up my alley, I dig it. Thanks!
Liked that record!
Yoth Iria. 100% agree with you, the new vocalist is good but The Magus vocals on the first record and Ep were exceptional.
Ya just something missing without The Magus. But still a great album nonetheless
Great picks here! I'd recommend that you check out Oath of the Paladins by Gloomy Reflections. Proto metal with elements of Dungeon Synth. It won't necessarily blow your socks off but it's got a ton of atmosphere and the songs are catchy. Will Spectre (The Wizar'd, Tarot) and the guy from Quest Master (can't remember his name) are the sole members of the band.
Cheers! That sounds like an interesting album, definitely gonna check it out. Thanks for the pick!
@@HammerheartMetalReviews Awesome! Have you listened to The Knightlore by Vultures Vengeance? I've been jamming the debut a lot again lately so I thought I'd ask 😆
@@chuckmillsap3169 I have not listened to that in ages! Thanks for the reminder. I remember liking it a lot when it came out, but I don't own it unfortunately, so only listen when I actually think about it. Good as time as any for a revisit! Wonder if they are ever putting out a new album?
@@HammerheartMetalReviews Yeah it's a banger for sure! The guitar work on that album is fantastic. I haven't heard anything, but I hope we get more from them soon! It's been 5 years so we shall see 🙏
Like the idea of gloomy reflections I'll check that out
was kinda hoping the new Defeated Sanity release but still a great list for recommendation
Cheers! Thanks for the recommendation, not sure how I missed that one. Will give it a listen this week. Saw them live a few years back and they were amazing.
Definitely one of the most insanely technical and brOOtal albums of the entire year! 😎🤘
Dude I slept on a lot of albums this month and missed out! Thank you for sharing your list with awesome bands and I need to catch up! Always reference your channel to friends because this is my favorite Metal channel. Although, these are the Metal bands Ive listened to the most with new releases for the month of November 2024. Cheers my dude!
Bands:
Gutless
Defeated Sanity
Mammoth Grinder
Primal Code
Time Lurker
Isleptonthemoom
Paysage D’hiver
Djevel
Cheers dude! And thanks as always for your picks too, you always have a few I have not heard!
Don't complain about messing your list mate, you might end up doing the same to all of us 😀 Great selection and comments as usual. 🙂I'm not ready with my picks yet, might report them in a few days 🙂 Cheers!
haha very true! Cheers! and looking forward to your picks as well, curious to hear what you thought of the new Opeth
The new Deus Mortem is worth checking out. I don't yet know how it stacks up against their other albums (they're all killer) but it definitely doesn't disappoint.
Not sure how I missed that too haha...I can tell I was busier this month as lots went under my radar. Too many albums to keep up with sometimes
@@HammerheartMetalReviewsThe relentless onslaught of new metal albums coming out is overwhelming to say the least. It is both a gift and a curse.
Lot of albums recently but I'll be checking out high warden ? And definitely Molder and djevel too on my list and tentatively I'll look into grylle lol😅.. that French medieval bm sounds intriguing. I've only heard vehemence... cheers thank you
Cheers! and no problem at all, always glad if you can get a couple recommendations to check out!
Hello, particularly what really stands out about November is the work of Opeth (the best of the year along with Blood Incantation, Anciients and Sur Austru). They are followed by the very good albums (8/10) by Tribulation, Thy Catafalque, Galloglaigh and Yoth Iria and one step below are the works with 7/10 points (Solstafir, Suidakra, Exuvial, Neon Nightmare, Nachtmystium, Massacre and Witnesses) . In any case, it is difficult to recover from a month like October with superlative releases (Blood Incantation, Iotunn, Gigan, Schammasch, Gaerea, Funeral and Psychonaut 4). Greetings from Argentina.
Ya October was a crazy good month! Cheers!
Great list man. Can I recommend Retributions Tales of torment. A real banger that you don’t want to miss 🔥
Cheers! And thanks for the recommendation. I have not heard that one, so will check it out this week!
There are a lot of black metal albums on your list that I need to check out still!
Glad this list could give a few new albums to check out. So much quality black metal coming out every month, its hard to keep up with haha. good problem to have though. Cheers!
You missed As I Lay Dying's new album Through Storms Ahead. Unfortunately, there's been some nasty drama with their vocalist.
Nice one lad. I found the last greek band you mentioned and the Véhémence singers new project (which I hadn't heard about until now, thank you!) intriguing, so I'm gonna listen to them asap!
I haven't really found the time to listen to much new stuff this month, due to revisiting all the stuff I've enjoyed earlier in the year, but I must say that Djevel in my opinion just cemented their place as the greatest black metal band of all time with this new album (yeah, I rate them over the classic bands from the 90s). I can't think of anyone with 9 studio albums to their name, that can show a similar quality throughout their entire discography. I consider all 9 albums borderline masterpieces. If Valfar had stayed alive to make 5 more albums, Windir might've topped them, but no one else that I've heard even comes close. It's like the perfect blend of old Ulver, old Satyricon, Burzum, Windir and Darkthrone. Just incredible stuff. The atmosphere on Natt til Ende just perfectly sums up what black metal is to me.
Edit: I did check out an EP from an Argentinian band called Spectral Light, which was pretty decent.
So true! I feel like if Djevel had released all these albums in the 90's/early 2000's then they would be revered among the all time greats. Definitely one of the most consistent bands out there!
Listened to the Djevel album for the 10th time last night... fucking incredible ... maybe my pick for the best of the year
So good!
Solid picks definitely agree with Opeth being number 1.
An album that came out today which I recommend is Ересиархи by Путь. It's kind of like a symphonic blackened death metal album, which is a huge departure from their debut. This would make my top 5 this month, at least.
Cheers! and thanks for the recommendation, I had no idea they had a new one out! Loved their debut, so gonna check that out for sure!

haha ya this month really threw off what I thought was a close to finished year end list. Nice picks, a few in there I haven't heard, so thanks for that as usual! Looking forward to your year end picks! I think I will have my videos up next week if all goes well this weekend
@HammerheartMetalReviews some of yours i need to check out as well. hoping to get my year end list done by mid month, still a handful of albums I want to check out before finalizing it. just had a new baby a few days ago, though (our first), so I feel like my music listening is going to drop drastically in the next couple of months, haha.
Cheers
@@MrOmac09 Congrats dude! Thats awesome! haha ya I feel like it will tough to listen to the same amount of music with a baby around
you forgot DISPARAGED
Had little doubt who would be #1... No doubt Djevel deserve their very high spot too. The one I would've placed much higher is Tribulation
Ya the Opeth album deserved the top spot this month, even if it was predictable from me haha. That Tribulation album is definitely full of ear worms, so catchy
This month has been great. I couldn't keep up. The Opeth album is incredible. I bought it right away
Ya I cannot stop listening to it!
